I have been to Xishuangbanna many times. After the busy May Day holiday, I wanted to come here to catch up with friends and relax. I have stayed in many hotels in Banna. Maybe it was because I wanted to experience something new that I spent a wonderful day. The hotel's services are all very good. It may be that the rainy season is approaching in Banna and the drizzle here is continuous. The driver who came to pick me up called me when I was about to arrive at the station, and was waiting for me at the exit. After meeting me, he took the initiative to hold an umbrella and carry my bag for me. There was another unexpected surprise when we arrived at the hotel. It must have been the May Day holiday, so the place didn't seem busy. The lady at the front desk told me that there are hot spring rooms and gave me a free upgrade experience, which was really great. You can soak in the hot springs in the room and stroll among the rice fields. Different from the urban areas and Gaozhuang where I lived before, this is a place where I can relax physically and mentally. The front desk and butlers in the store made me feel relaxed and natural, and I praise this place from the bottom of my heart! (There are many restaurants in the market not far away. The Dai barbecue that my friends and I had in the evening was very delicious)

This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Xishuangbanna. The environment is absolutely wonderful and super clean, and the bed is very comfy. The large pool on the first floor is great for swimming, and our room even had a balcony bathtub. The service was absolutely amazing, they almost carried me to bed! The front desk offers coffee and tea, and there's complimentary afternoon tea upon check-in. The breakfast in the morning has a fantastic variety. They also offer photography and laundry services. There's even another pool and a reading area on the 8th floor. Out of all the hotels I've ever stayed in, this is by far the best and most comfortable one.

It felt like living in a forest, secluded and utterly delightful. A full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offered mountain views. The 'blue hour' at dusk felt like every frame was straight out of a movie, etched into my memory of this Xishuangbanna trip. The air was filled with the fresh scent of grass and trees, and high concentrations of negative ions. Open the window, and you're greeted by a sea of clouds, mountains, and a panoramic city view – every photo looks stunning. The overall design was a sophisticated and gentle Wabi-sabi style, with natural wood elements. Minimalist and transparent architectural lines blended seamlessly with the natural wilderness. There was no excessive, complicated decoration, just a clean, relaxed aesthetic. You could enjoy a private hot spring soak right on your room's terrace. The entire room featured panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass windows plus a private viewing terrace. You could lie in bed and face the lush greenery of the mountains directly. In the morning, watch the thin mist and sea of clouds drift by; in the evening, wait for the sunset glow. At night, fall asleep under a sky full of stars – it was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave the room. I instantly wanted to return to the tranquility of the mountains; the vacation vibe was absolutely perfect. Perhaps we'll meet here again.

1. I stayed at this guesthouse in Yunnan for 5 nights. I contacted them in advance, and they provided airport pickup service. 2. The room was spacious, giving my child plenty of room to play around. It had one double bed and one single bed. The room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a pleasant view of the greenery outside. The toiletries provided were all of good quality; I didn't even need to use my own. There was even a lighted makeup mirror! The bathroom also had a dryer, which was very practical, especially since we needed to wash and dry underwear daily. This is a must-have for families with kids. They also provided a laundry basket and hangers for drying clothes, plus two types of slippers. Many details at this guesthouse are truly guest-oriented, anticipating guests' needs and making things convenient. It feels very thoughtful and is something all hotels and guesthouses could learn from. 3. Breakfast was served after 8 AM, a set menu that was very well put together. I especially loved their congee – it was delicious! The afternoon tea was also great, with good coffee, peach shortbread, and double-skin milk pudding. 4. The service was incredibly attentive! The staff and the proprietress were very enthusiastic. We could ask them for advice on dining and transportation, which was super convenient. On the day we checked in, they gave us a welcome kit with mosquito repellent, aloe vera gel, comfrey ointment, and an eye mask. My husband caught a cold, and they immediately prepared ginger water and ginger plaster for him. I was really touched! I hope they continue to operate with such dedication. Although the price during the Chinese New Year period was much higher than usual, the service and quality at this guesthouse made me feel it was totally worth it.

I recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

My trip to Xishuangbanna this time was purely for the joy of daily sunbathing, and what I unexpectedly gained was the pleasant surprise of the Saipan Hotel. It brought me back to those warm and tranquil days I spent in Santorini many years ago. I later learned that the entire hotel was designed and built by a seasoned architect, who is also the owner. This explains the meticulous detail in every corner and the harmonious, rich overall style. The quality of the architecture itself greatly enhances the beauty of my photos! During my stay, each morning began with a warm cup of red date and rose tea, awakening my palate. In the afternoon, bathed in the winter sun, I'd relax on a loungewear by the Tiffany blue pool, surrounded by blooming pink bougainvillea, slowly sipping the complimentary passion fruit juice from the hotel. I also tried the highly-praised coconut sago pudding afternoon tea. In the evenings, I'd stroll leisurely through the starlight night market, soaking in the lively atmosphere. It was truly my fast energy recovery station, making me eagerly anticipate my next return here to recharge. Every traveler has their own set of preferences. On this trip, I also spent a week each at the Nanman Mijin Hotel and the Yueming Village Pineapple Hotel. However, the Saipan Hotel perfectly aligned with my aesthetic preferences and daily habits, especially my high demands for sleep quality. Coupled with its excellent value for money, it has naturally become my top choice for future stays in Xishuangbanna.

This hostel boasts an excellent location. It's a pleasant 400-500 meter walk to the Lancang River, and Peacock Lake Park is about a kilometer away. A fresh market for fruits, along with 'Luoluo Bingwu' (a local dessert shop) and several other restaurants, are all within a kilometer's radius. You can easily rent an electric scooter right outside to visit attractions further afield. It’s perfect for both long-term stays and short trips. The hostel's common areas are very spacious. The first floor is great for working, and the second-floor terrace is incredibly comfortable – perfect for sunbathing during the day and stargazing at night. The overall cleanliness is good, and the bedding is very comfortable and clean. The four-bed and eight-bed dorms share two bathrooms, so there's never a queue. The environment is quiet, as it's located within a residential building. The owner is a warm, friendly, and very helpful sister.

The staff at this hotel were all very helpful and had great service attitudes, which deserves a big thumbs up. However, the facilities were a major drawback. The laundry room seemed to be shared with the adjacent health and wellness guesthouse; it was so messy that I never wanted to do laundry there 😂. The swimming pool was also dirty and not filled with water, which was one of the reasons I booked the hotel. There was also no parking, and the small courtyard was completely filled with cars. Breakfast was very simple, basically just two stir-fried dishes every day, served on the kind of trays used in student cafeterias. The only thing I was willing to eat was the rice noodles. I also got bitten by some kind of insect at the hotel seven or eight times. In short, it's a hotel with very obvious advantages and disadvantages. This is the first time I've written so much, and I hope the hotel can improve and get better.

My friend and I booked a hotel near Manting Park because we had to go to the airport the next day. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to the airport. The hotel building is grand and impressive. The twin room was a good size with two beds, perfect for two girls to sleep comfortably. The bedding was clean and odorless, and the room environment was also very clean. The smart devices and toiletries were comprehensive. It was also very quiet, so I wasn't bothered by noise at night. The hotel service was excellent. When our car parked at the hotel entrance, the butler immediately came to help with our luggage and guided us to the room. My friend's foot was chafed, and they even provided a first-aid kit with band-aids. On the B1 floor, there's an infinity pool. The breakfast was also the most extensive I've seen in Xishuangbanna so far, and the rice noodles were delicious! The entire building leans more towards a business style, suitable for families. It was a very comfortable stay for our last night in Xishuangbanna.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. As a returning customer, the manager gave us an upgrade by surprise, which made our stay extra comfy. They went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Especially Mrs Lei who works in the restaurant. She offered her own coffee to us in early morning before the barista started working. She also provided us exactly what we wanted for each breakfast, on time. My partner is from the UK, he said that he has never felt so at home abroad just because of Mrs Lei!
