Outstanding
GGuest UserThe hotel I originally wanted to book was fully booked, so I immediately booked this one after seeing it was newly renovated in 2025 and had five-star reviews. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood with security cameras on every house, so the security measures are excellent. The room is very clean and beautiful, and the bathroom is spotless. You can tell the host is very, very meticulous about cleanliness. Since the stairs and room are covered with white carpet, I left my luggage on the ground floor and didn't take it upstairs. You have to take off your shoes before going upstairs, which I completely understand – I wouldn't want to get the pristine white carpet dirty either. You might want to bring a pair of clean slippers. The kitchen floor is tiled, which can be a bit chilly in winter. The kitchen is shared, and you can use the microwave to heat up cooked food and boil water, but cooking full meals isn't allowed. The host also thoughtfully prepared some snacks, including a delicious African snack called 'Qinqin'. The warm-hearted host chatted with me for a long time in the evening. It was the first time I realized my 'broken' English could sustain such a long conversation with a foreigner! The host is incredibly warm and thoughtful; the kettle is always filled with cold water, ready to boil at the push of a button. They even thoughtfully called an Uber for me in the morning. In short, the room is very clean and beautiful, and the host is warm and attentive – you can check in with complete peace of mind.
The three-dimensional towel rack in the bathroom is such a thoughtful design, kudos!
Also, a suggestion for Ctrip: Ctrip's map showed the hotel in the city center, and we planned to walk there. But it was too cold, so we called an Uber. Only when we arrived did we realize the direction was completely wrong, and it wasn't in the bustling downtown area at all. I hope Ctrip corrects this immediately. It's a real pity to be misled by Ctrip's map when you're in a foreign country and don't speak the language, causing such inconvenience.

Great
GGuest UserSuper convenient for the university. Clean and comfortable for a solo traveller. Noise can be an issue given close proximity to student halls
TTom CadmoreThe Psalter is a gem of an independent hotel. Very close to Eccleshall Rd and Endcliffe Park.
Clean and comfortable room in great condition. Comfy beds, great shower, excellent use of space.
Free secure car parking. Easy booking and check in.
Great price for a triple room.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Arranged a slightly later check out for us. No hassle.
GGuest UserOne day of work related visit. Very decent hotel in the heart of Sheffield with great amenities and good value for the price.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, granted a complimentary late check-out with no fuss.
Breakfast was really great, apart from not serving hot chocolate drink.
Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Sheffield.
Highly recommended
GGuest UserThe hotel reception was very friendly. We arrived late, around 9:30 PM, because we were shopping at Bicester Village. The hotel is next to a Holiday Inn and has a decent-sized parking lot; it costs 6 pounds for an overnight stay, deducted from the deposit. Our room rate included dinner, but since the restaurant closed at 9 PM, the hotel arranged for us to eat at the bar next door. We ordered steak and fish and chips, which were surprisingly good, especially the steak. The room and bed were both very spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, featuring smoked salmon. Everyone in our group agreed it was great. There's also a traditional British reception room near the entrance, perfect for taking photos!
GGuest UserVery pleasant reception area Attractively furnished
Good sized room with comfortable bed and good sized shower room too. Warm.
Hanging space and shelves
Hotel is very very dated Stairs rather tricky. No lift.
2 long windows with metal frames at the bottom one of which was disgustingly dirty. Fan in shower room not operating
Guest numbers were low as it was a Sunday night so I managed to park outside on the road incurring no charge rather than having to pay £10 for the privilege
of using the hotel car park
I would stay there again if the cost is reasonable as the situation is ideal for me
GGuest UserI check the reviews before deciding to stay here. It’s a budget hotel, but parking is easy ( additional cost) and there’s an EV charger available, which was very convenient. It’s only a 10 mins walk to the cinema and there’s are plenty restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
法法塔赫布尔西格里邢杲The hotel is very clean. In the morning, I went to the restaurant through the beautiful English garden. It felt very good. In addition to regular coffee and drinks, the breakfast was quite good. The front desk is so-so. It is about 5-6 stops by rail from the University of Sheffield. It feels a little bit remote. There is a large supermarket/parking lot nearby. From the station, pass the supermarket back to the hotel. There were some fast food a few hundred meters behind the hotel, but we did not go.
GGuest UserIt was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.
