The hotel I originally wanted to book was fully booked, so I immediately booked this one after seeing it was newly renovated in 2025 and had five-star reviews. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood with security cameras on every house, so the security measures are excellent. The room is very clean and beautiful, and the bathroom is spotless. You can tell the host is very, very meticulous about cleanliness. Since the stairs and room are covered with white carpet, I left my luggage on the ground floor and didn't take it upstairs. You have to take off your shoes before going upstairs, which I completely understand – I wouldn't want to get the pristine white carpet dirty either. You might want to bring a pair of clean slippers. The kitchen floor is tiled, which can be a bit chilly in winter. The kitchen is shared, and you can use the microwave to heat up cooked food and boil water, but cooking full meals isn't allowed. The host also thoughtfully prepared some snacks, including a delicious African snack called 'Qinqin'. The warm-hearted host chatted with me for a long time in the evening. It was the first time I realized my 'broken' English could sustain such a long conversation with a foreigner! The host is incredibly warm and thoughtful; the kettle is always filled with cold water, ready to boil at the push of a button. They even thoughtfully called an Uber for me in the morning. In short, the room is very clean and beautiful, and the host is warm and attentive – you can check in with complete peace of mind.
The three-dimensional towel rack in the bathroom is such a thoughtful design, kudos!
Also, a suggestion for Ctrip: Ctrip's map showed the hotel in the city center, and we planned to walk there. But it was too cold, so we called an Uber. Only when we arrived did we realize the direction was completely wrong, and it wasn't in the bustling downtown area at all. I hope Ctrip corrects this immediately. It's a real pity to be misled by Ctrip's map when you're in a foreign country and don't speak the language, causing such inconvenience.

Room was nice for the price, good water pressure and hot. Room was warm, bed comfy. Would have loved a kettle, and the parking permit they provide is a piece of paper which for my albeit niche position as a motorcyclist meant they just told me, don't worry if you get fined you'll get it cancelled, which is never fun!
Also they take card for damage deposit which isn't actually an issue but it isn't notified at booking like nearly all others who do the same which is a bit subversive.

Guest UserGreat room spotlessly clean. Good size. Good sized bathroom. Stayed in room to back of hotel. Little noise. Great location. Not far from restaurants and theatre and shops. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent, it even has a balcony.
The room is significantly larger than other hotels in Sheffield.
Although it's a bit far from the university, it's quite close to the cathedral in the city center. The room and surrounding environment are fantastic, with a beautiful little river nearby. Breakfast purchased can be refunded in advance with the front desk if you suddenly decide you don't need it anymore. The service was truly excellent. Just remember to ask the front desk for toilet paper if you run out. I stayed with my family for my graduation ceremony, and even with a lot of luggage, we had plenty of room. If I have the chance to come to Sheffield again, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

Guest UserThe hotel reception was very friendly. We arrived late, around 9:30 PM, because we were shopping at Bicester Village. The hotel is next to a Holiday Inn and has a decent-sized parking lot; it costs 6 pounds for an overnight stay, deducted from the deposit. Our room rate included dinner, but since the restaurant closed at 9 PM, the hotel arranged for us to eat at the bar next door. We ordered steak and fish and chips, which were surprisingly good, especially the steak. The room and bed were both very spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, featuring smoked salmon. Everyone in our group agreed it was great. There's also a traditional British reception room near the entrance, perfect for taking photos!

This is the second time I have stayed in the Leopold. It is a basic hotel, but delivers high-quality rooms, a good breakfast, and a perfect location for exploring Sheffield. The building is curious, as it is a converted school. It also opens directly (at the back) on to a pedestrian plaza with multiple bars and restaurants.

We chose this place for a hiking trip to the Peak District. It's just a short uphill walk from the train station.
There are several Chinese supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient for groceries.
-
The room was spacious, with both a bathtub and a shower. You need to swipe your card to use the elevator, and there's CCTV in the hallway. You can hang a sign on your door if you don't want your room cleaned. We stayed for four nights and felt very safe.

‼️ You can check out before 12 PM.
‼️ However, the hotel's Wi-Fi isn't very smooth.
The housekeepers make a lot of noise every morning while cleaning, which really disturbs light sleepers who want to sleep in a bit.

I check the reviews before deciding to stay here. It’s a budget hotel, but parking is easy ( additional cost) and there’s an EV charger available, which was very convenient. It’s only a 10 mins walk to the cinema and there’s are plenty restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Guest UserIt was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.

NavvyJust a quick overnight stay to attend a graduation at Sheffield Uni. Very clean, comfortable and quiet, with large rooms, fairly modern bathrooms and a spacious car park. There are several convenience stores and takeaways nearby (10-15min walk or 3min drive). Only took around 30 minutes by car to reach the city centre and the university, in moderate traffic. Not a breakfast person myself but a buffet continental breakfast was included, consisting of the usual cereals, yoghurt, croissants, juice, tea, coffee...cooked breakfast was available for what seemed a reasonable price on top. All in all a nice, hassle-free stay.
