"An easy to find location and close to the town. The reception staff were friendly and the area was spotless. The room was as described. Am not keen on the bathrooms with clear glass you can see into though. The hand soap and shower gel were so lovely, great smell. The room and bathroom were spotless. The towels were huge and fluffy. The bed was rather hard but fine for one night. I was on the second floor and could feel the vibrations of the trams running which was not great. Good for a one night stop but not a longer stay."

"Robin, on the reception desk, was very professional and friendly and gave me a very warm welcome and a great first impression.
The hotel, being directly attached to the Winter Garden, has a great central location and is less than ten minutes by foot to the train station (which is all wheelchair and suitcase accessible).
All the breakfast staff were also attentive and helpful even early in the morning."

"The location is good, the room was pleasant and spacious. But the staff were a little slow, it took a long time to check in even though there were three staff on reception and one person before me, two were on the phone together. I understand busy times but they weren’t particularly in a hurry to help, explain or apologise. Also had a drink at the bar and again, the staff were a little slow to help. They were fine and adequate but not particularly friendly.
I have worked in customer facing roles and I’m not expecting the world but some hotels go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the staff here could definitely improve in this area. There was nothing wrong at this hotel and it was adequate for my needs but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again."

"I booked this for my family. It happened to be graduation season, so the rates were quite high. The room was a bit small but surprisingly a little more spacious than I'd imagined. Its convenient location, with a supermarket and restaurants directly opposite, and proximity to the train station, were definite pluses."

"For a hotel in the UK, the price was very affordable. The room size was decent, and the bed was generally comfortable. Its location is quite good, with a bus stop nearby making it easy to get to Darcy Manor (just check Google Maps). The room came with a bathtub, although the water pressure was a bit weak. Both the air conditioning and extractor fan operated on timers, which I presume is an energy-saving measure. It felt like the room was half of a two-bedroom suite, given the locked connecting door in the middle, which unfortunately led to poor soundproofing. Luckily, the guests next door only chatted briefly after returning late at night before going to sleep, so the noise wasn't too disruptive."

The hotel building is beautiful, stylish and well maintained.
Breakfast was lovely but be warned the breakfast room is quite snug when there is a busy period.
We would definitely recommend a stay here."

"Nice clean hotel, located in a nice area with plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk.
Room was nice and big and clean, except for finding a long dark hair in the sink on arrival! Room was very quiet with the curtains only letting a small amount of light in when light outside.
Breakfast was nice with a decent selection for all, however the coffee could be better. The bar area was also nice, with a decent selection of beers.
Parking within the hotel car park was a none starter, with it being so small and also rather tight for turning around etc. instead we chose to park in an NCP Carl park on Solly street that cost £2.50 overnight on a weekend and had plenty of spaces. Weekdays costs £11 for 24hrs rather than £15 in the Hampton by Hilton.
Overall a nice stay, with nice pleasant staff. Would definitely stay again of in the area."

"Hotel is in a good location. The common areas were clean and the staff we met was really friendly. The rooms are a little tired and would benefit from a refurb. It was good to have a fridge in the room. Comfy bed's but the shower was really cold in the morning unfortunately. The pool and steam room was a nice way to start the day. Overall we thought it was good value for money."
