"Stayed for 2 nights. Lidl and Sainsbury's are just a few steps away, and my favorite Gress is also nearby, close to the train station – just turn right across the street and walk a bit further. There's even a KFC downstairs! Very satisfied overall, though the bathroom is a bit small."

"I genuinely do not recommend this hotel. After checking in, I found a large, awkwardly placed pillar in the room, which severely impacted the living experience. The bathroom also had a pungent, unpleasant odor, indicating a poor environment. It's clear the hotel assigns less desirable rooms to foreign guests, which significantly detracts from the overall experience. I advise everyone to book with caution."

The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. "My stay at the Rutland Hotel was really pleasant. The staff were friendly and kind; the lady at the check-in desk was particularly lovely, and I was lucky enough to get the last available parking space! I thought the room was perfect for a solo traveler, providing me with a comfortable base after a day of exploring the city before attending a show the following day. Everywhere was clean and tidy. I made use of the facilities, enjoying a relaxing shower and winding down in my pyjamas with an episode of Midsomer Murders (each room has a tv and wifi). I ordered room service and the curry was tasty. The only downside was that the room was really hot throughout the night. Even with the provided fan running and the window and curtains left open, it remained uncomfortably warm. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again, but hopefully not in a room so hot!! To the staff - thank you for being so lovely :)"

"The location isn't hard to find, but it's not close to the train station; it's still a 15-20 minute walk. Overall, it's basically an overpriced hostel. The front desk staff (a young lady) was alright. I stayed in what they called an 'accessible room,' which was quite large. The desk was tiny and impractical, with no space to put anything. The 'fake window' didn't allow for ventilation, so the air quality was poor. The bathroom was big but not suitable for general use; there was no sink, which was very inconvenient. The shower area had no partition, so whenever you showered, water would flood the entire bathroom. If you didn't block the door with a towel, it would flow into the room! To enter the bathroom afterwards, you'd have to step through water! And because the room had no real window, the humidity couldn't escape. The exhaust fan and light were on the same switch – both on or both off – and the fan was very noisy. However, it might be an option for disabled individuals using wheelchairs, as the entire room is barrier-free at ground level. Breakfast had very limited options. You could fill up, but it was far below the standard of a normal hotel breakfast, similar to what you'd find at some hostels. The free luggage storage was a plus, but the distance from the station was inconvenient. There's a machine in the lobby for directly calling an Uber, which is nice in case your phone signal is bad. Cleanliness wasn't great; there was dust everywhere, perhaps because there haven't been many guests recently. The bed was okay, a bit soft."
