I accidentally discovered Va Riverside Retreat, and it turned out to be a hidden haven along the peaceful Huong River. The scenery here is simply serene—watching the golden sunset reflected on the water and waking up to the sound of birds at dawn felt like stepping into another world. Besides relaxing in the refreshing pool, I also had the chance to try paddle boarding on the river. One of the most unique moments was listening to the mystical melodies of the Hầu Đồng ceremonies drifting across from Hon Chen Temple—a truly authentic touch of Vietnamese culture. The local breakfast was delicious, simple yet full of flavor, and made the mornings even more memorable. What stood out the most was the staff—they welcomed me like family, making me feel at home even though I was far away from mine.
If you’re looking for more than just a stay, but an experience that touches both your senses and soul, I highly recommend coming here. Discover it as I did, and perhaps you’ll enjoy it even more than I did.

AAnonymous UserOur room was spacious, clean, and wonderful. The property is quite expansive, and getting around by bicycle is the primary mode of transport. The paths are flat, allowing for enjoyable cycling while taking in the scenery. Hotel staff were always reachable via WhatsApp. During our visit, it seemed there were separate breakfast venues for foreign and Vietnamese guests. Both the breakfast selection and the ambiance of the dining area were excellent. There are several local restaurants in the vicinity.

PPilixiaoyaoThe hotel is fantastic. With a limited number of rooms, it's very comfortable with a small crowd. There are two swimming pools, both of which are rarely occupied. The decor and color scheme are unique and offer excellent value for money. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat, featuring both Vietnamese and Western specialties, so you can try them all. The hotel also has a French restaurant, which many locals visit for birthdays or anniversaries, eliminating the need to find a separate restaurant. It's a 10-minute taxi ride from Hue Imperial City, making it an excellent location.
The service is also impeccable, meeting the standards of an international five-star chain. They greet you immediately and offer to help with your luggage—they're very welcoming.

GGuest UserThe hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment.
The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities).
The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink!
The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally).
During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know!
The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked.
On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”.
We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave.
The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive.
When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

JJiThe hotel is relatively new and well maintained. The only thing that I didn't like was the shower is not instant heat water heater. So you need to wait for the hot water and there's limited supply of hot water. Others are all very good. Breakfast is beyond my expectations for a small hotel, with diversified food choice. The staff are very helpful. They have drivers and cars that you can book. The driver is very friendly and speaks some English. We used the da nang to hue transfer and a day tour in Hue with airport drop off. Was very pleasent experience with the driver. The view on the terrace is also very good.

DDaBrownBanditThe Kourai Spa was great. As a guest you got some discount vouchers on certain treatments. I did a few such a: full body massage, mud bath, foot rub, and head massage. Great Quality.
However, communication with the general staff is a challenge. As an ESL Professor, I noticed that the staff seems to rely on ”autopilot” or scripted English. They can understand words specific to their own department to a degree but if you ask a question that is slightly off-topic they are often completely lost. I didn't need Google Translate, but I had to speak very slowly and repeat myself constantly to get basic points across.
Even with that they were very patient, accommodating and flexible to my requests.
I would definitely go again to the Spa. The breakfast buffet was divine. Grab even had discounts because the hotel is about 15-20 mins from the city center

GGuest UserHaving stayed at a Banyan Tree resort in the past, I had high expectations of this resort and I have to say, it did not disappoint me in one bit. Firstly, I have to mention the exceptional service. There is not a single thing the staff are not prepared to do in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Being a Muslim traveller, we had some concerns regarding the halal aspect of the menu. But I'm glad to say that the chefs understood the requirements and accommodated us flawlessly. We stayed in the pool beach villa for my daughter's 27th birthday, we booked two side by side. The villa itself was sensational. Getting up in the morning, walking on your own patio to your private pool, a stone throw away from the sandy beach, it's literally heaven on earth. Again, I will go back to the service levels because this is what truly makes Banyan Tree the special brand that it is. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your caring. Special mention to Nhi, Hung and Tan for making it extra special.
The only downside is that it's slightly off the beaten track. A night out in Danang is a 2 hour round trip. But we spent the first 5 days of our holiday doing all the exploring and Banyan Tree Lang Co was the perfect wind down before heading home.
I highly recommend anyone looking for a luxury escape in Vietnam, pick this place!

11886810****This resort is an incredibly secluded getaway, sprawling across a huge area with very few people. It's quite far from the city center, the airport, and Da Nang. They offer free airport shuttle service, but there's a charge for the scheduled shuttle to the city.
**Cleanliness:** All the pools are very clean, including the private plunge pool in the room. If there are leaves, you can call room service to clear them.
**Service:** There are many free activities like paddleboarding, coffee making, boat rides, and even a dedicated game room for board games.
My only complaint is that the food is very expensive, but even though it's pricey, it's absolutely delicious. On the second day, I suddenly had an allergic reaction, and the resort's medical center provided allergy and anti-itch medication free of charge.

AArnau CasadevallWe stayed just one night in Hue. The hotel was fantastic, with a really nice swimming pool. Very clean and tidy rooms and excellent breakfast. I really recommend the hotel. Also they have nice restaurant just next to the hotel if you are looking for good Vietnamese food.
Extra point: I forgot some stuff in the hotel and they managed to send it to me from Hue to Da Nang in less than 24h. This is not related to the hotel accommodations, but I really appreciate what they did.

OOne n OnlyThe manager is very nice, change room for me to nicer room when complain about toilet smell.
I did not realise the air cond not working properly after I came back in evening and basically the controller can not turn on off or control the air conditioner at all, in top the air cond only blows air at 1 speed abdc1 temperature not cool enough, end up sleeping not much at all while night because of very hot in the room with air cond not working properly.
Not trying to tell people how to manage hotel business, but as manager they should check the conditions of rooms, which are good or bad, cabinets doors, corridor carpet need to be replaced etc, if they want to attract more customers, and regularly inspect the rooms, don't wait till customers complain then try to fix problems. apart from all these hotel manager is an absolute nice person. Feel not easy to leave this hotel because she is so nice, but I need to have cool room to sleep well.
Motorbike rental is very nice from this hotel, she offer half day rate because I arrived at 2 pm.
You can do better, try harder, proactively doing things. Room has 2 nice windows and a nice balcony garden. Location of hotel is right in the centre of night eating place and walking streets.
