I accidentally discovered Va Riverside Retreat, and it turned out to be a hidden haven along the peaceful Huong River. The scenery here is simply serene—watching the golden sunset reflected on the water and waking up to the sound of birds at dawn felt like stepping into another world. Besides relaxing in the refreshing pool, I also had the chance to try paddle boarding on the river. One of the most unique moments was listening to the mystical melodies of the Hầu Đồng ceremonies drifting across from Hon Chen Temple—a truly authentic touch of Vietnamese culture. The local breakfast was delicious, simple yet full of flavor, and made the mornings even more memorable. What stood out the most was the staff—they welcomed me like family, making me feel at home even though I was far away from mine.
If you’re looking for more than just a stay, but an experience that touches both your senses and soul, I highly recommend coming here. Discover it as I did, and perhaps you’ll enjoy it even more than I did.

GGuest UserWe stayed in Hue for two days, and the hotel had a beautiful environment, with staffs who warmly welcomed us. We participated in the hotel's royal package, which included enjoying local traditional music, savoring traditional cuisine, and experiencing wearing traditional attire, which was very special. ❤️
Additionally, since this was our honeymoon trip🥰, the hotel provided us with a cake to enjoy. The experience was truly wonderful.

GGuest UserThe hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment.
The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities).
The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink!
The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally).
During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know!
The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked.
On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”.
We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave.
The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive.
When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

LlouiseyongSuper super recommended Banyan Tree Lang Co for the super attentive butler - Mi and the manager for serving our 2 nights stay here! From the arrival to the hotel and departure, we are welcomed by their friendly manager (forgot her name😭) and Mi (our butler) even gave us a surprised cake for our anniversary! The breakfast is awesome too! Everything is awesome ! Definitely recommended to anyone from family to couple to stay here!

GGuest UserIn general the stay was ok. The location is good, the hotel is clean and modern. However I cannot give a great rating because of the most bizarre thing that happened at check-out. Having already explained that we were in a rush as we had a flight to catch, the receptionist offered to check our room in case we had forgotten anything. I explained it wasn't necessary as we had checked thoroughly, and repeated that we were in a rush. Our pre-booked car was already waiting, and having loaded our luggage and go in, she instructed our driver not to leave until she had checked the room! I am a very regular traveler throughout Asia and beyond and this is not normal practice, and to attempt to delay our departure ahead of a 2-hour drive to the airport is both bizarre and completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel for this episode alone.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself built along the lake, and walked from one end to the other end, was about 3 km, a good enough healthy walk especially after the meal. The hotel also provided bicycles and we can order buggy instead of walking.
We booked the water villa, quite an experience to live above the water. Room is big, 130 sq meter, facilities are good, although some minor improvements could make the stay even better. For example, the bath room could have more lighting, and install towel hanging places with no plants underneath.
Staff are very friendly and with warm smiles. The two swimming pools all have wonderful view. Spa is excellent.
This hotel is good for relaxation and rest. Travelling to scenery locations are a bit far away. Driving to the Danang airport takes about 80 minutes.

VVeehThis is luxury at its best! I cannot find words to compliment the service at this place! I absolutely adore it and have come back here 3 times already! The decor is beautiful, the beach is clean! The scenery is just out of this world! A perfect retreat for relaxation!

AArcherName774The location is a bit remote from the main streets, but it is within a 10 minute motorcycle ride. It is truly a homestay, there is an auntie who lives there full time, who is relatively friendly. It is shown in the pictures, but I didn't notice that the bed doesn't have a proper frame, it basically lies on the floor on a wooden pallet, but the mattress is decent. The room has lots of electronic devices, such as a dehydrator and an insect killer. The TV is huge. The bathroom experience is also good. The huge issue I had, that made my experience poor is a curtain, that doesn't properly close the window, so it's possible to clearly see the room from the yard. The management provided a makeshift half-solution, and assured me they will fix it in future, but I share my experience. There are some other small issues that should be fixed, but after they complete I think guests should have a good stay.

AArnau CasadevallWe stayed just one night in Hue. The hotel was fantastic, with a really nice swimming pool. Very clean and tidy rooms and excellent breakfast. I really recommend the hotel. Also they have nice restaurant just next to the hotel if you are looking for good Vietnamese food.
Extra point: I forgot some stuff in the hotel and they managed to send it to me from Hue to Da Nang in less than 24h. This is not related to the hotel accommodations, but I really appreciate what they did.

OOne n OnlyThe manager is very nice, change room for me to nicer room when complain about toilet smell.
I did not realise the air cond not working properly after I came back in evening and basically the controller can not turn on off or control the air conditioner at all, in top the air cond only blows air at 1 speed abdc1 temperature not cool enough, end up sleeping not much at all while night because of very hot in the room with air cond not working properly.
Not trying to tell people how to manage hotel business, but as manager they should check the conditions of rooms, which are good or bad, cabinets doors, corridor carpet need to be replaced etc, if they want to attract more customers, and regularly inspect the rooms, don't wait till customers complain then try to fix problems. apart from all these hotel manager is an absolute nice person. Feel not easy to leave this hotel because she is so nice, but I need to have cool room to sleep well.
Motorbike rental is very nice from this hotel, she offer half day rate because I arrived at 2 pm.
You can do better, try harder, proactively doing things. Room has 2 nice windows and a nice balcony garden. Location of hotel is right in the centre of night eating place and walking streets.
