The Huazhu Wuyuan Yueyuan Wufei B&B is amazing! 👍 The renovation of the old house was meticulously done. A professional designer designed the courtyard, preserving its ancient charm while maintaining elegance and comfort. The rooms are cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep. The meals are authentic Wuyuan cuisine, and the proprietress's cooking is exceptional, making the specialties incredibly delicious. Breakfast and lunch offer a complete selection of Wuyuan specialties (pocket carp, steamed pork with rice flour, steamed fish with rice flour, Qingming fruit, etc.). The dishes are made with all-natural ingredients, including cucumber, cowpea, green pepper, and river chicken. The whole family devours every meal! You can also cycle along the rippling river, amidst the gently swaying blossoms. In the courtyard, you can play pot-to-pot together, creating a truly immersive experience. The attentive service makes it feel like home! 🥰 The proprietress and her family run the B&B as if it were their own home. Every corner of the old house holds history, every visitor has a story, and every dish the proprietress prepares is filled with warmth. It is better to come here by yourself after seeing and hearing it. Feel the inheritance of this history and the love for life.

Wanting to experience life in an ancient Huizhou village in Wuyuan, I chose Mingxun Courtyard · Yunshuiyao in Shangtan Village, nestled behind a thousand-year-old camphor tree. Pushing open the weathered wooden door, I discovered that this old Huizhou-style house held 300 years of history – it was once the residence of a third-rank official during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, later serving as a stage and a school, and now, a 'living artifact' that you can stay in. **Time Travel in a Three-Courtyard Home** Walking further inside on the bluestone slabs, the front hall still exuded the grandeur of its official past. The carvings on the wooden beams, though showing signs of age, were carefully preserved. I stayed in the 'Poetry & Ritual Cultural Panorama King Room.' The four-poster wooden bed was draped with a light gauze canopy, but the best part was the window-side tatami. Leaning there in the afternoon, brewing tea and listening to the rain, I almost felt transported back to a Ming and Qing dynasty noble family. **Poetic Living Amidst Old Relics** The housekeeper mentioned that the restoration here was 'as old as new,' even the roof beams retained their original wooden structure. The house has three floors in total. The second floor of the front hall displays many antique vanity items, along with Hanfu and Qipao available for guests to choose from. Wearing Hanfu here and taking photos, you can get amazing shots anywhere. There are also chessboards, a tea room, and a desk with brushes for passing the time. **Village Charm and Distant Horizons** Outside the guesthouse, there's a thousand-year-old camphor tree that many people come to photograph. Shangtan Village itself was a filming location for 'I Am Not Madame Bovary,' and you can reach the small bridge and flowing water from the movie within a two-minute walk from the guesthouse. This feeling of 'living in the scenery' is so much more comfortable than just visiting attractions. Check-in also included afternoon tea and breakfast. Additionally, there are coffee shops and local farm-to-table restaurants around the guesthouse. Inside, there's also a dining area where the auntie cooks authentic Wuyuan dishes, and the breakfast is also very rich, featuring local specialties that are both comforting and heartwarming.

Wuyuan Yueweitang Guofeng Hotel boasts stunning Huizhou-style architecture and an elegant, picturesque environment. Nestled by mountains and water, the air is wonderfully fresh. The complimentary dinner provided by the hotel was absolutely delicious, featuring dishes like stir-fried pork with chili, spicy chicken, and green vegetables. Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed the meal and left feeling very satisfied. The hotel's infinity pool is incredibly photogenic; in the evenings and early mornings, many children could be seen playing there. We also took a dip ourselves – the water was crystal clear, and swimming under the sun was a truly delightful experience. The complimentary traditional Chinese Hanfu-style attire was also beautiful. Taking photos by the hotel's traditional lotus pond while wearing them yielded some absolutely stunning pictures. Our room was clean, tidy, and remarkably spacious. Breakfast was abundant, with the buffet offering a wide variety of options to choose from.

The rooms are scattered throughout the scenic area, each with its own unique character. Our room was in a fairly central location within the scenic area, but it was two flights of stairs away from the main street, so it wasn't too noisy. It was wonderful to go out for a stroll in the morning before anyone else entered the area. There's a dedicated porter for luggage, and a shuttle bus for transfers, so the whole trip wasn't tiring at all. It also included entrance tickets to the scenic area and the cable car, so the room itself didn't cost much, which was very reasonable. Staying inside the scenic area is just so convenient; after night activities, there's no rush to get down the mountain. I would recommend this place to family and friends; if they come, they should stay here.

Absolutely recommend Mingxun Tang -- the hotel is nestled in the heart of Yan Cun, one of the smaller, delightful, history-rich and less touristy of the Wuyuan villages. The location is a very convenient point from which to do day trips around the scenic spots in Wuyuan. The hotel is in a beautifully reformed old house -- it has a lovely garden and keeps parts of the original structure, as well as some memorabilia from its previous iteration such as receipts from the late Qing Dynasty! The rooms are lovely and well-equipped with all amenities. Finally, the service is wonderful -- it was the owners of the hotel that recommended our driver and guide for the trip! The hotel offers delicious home-cooked meals and although they don't have coffee they kindly helped us buy some from a nearby cafe and brought it to us. Overall a wonderful stay!

Under the Maple Tree in Wuyuan | An Artistic Cat-Loving Courtyard Across the River from Xiangao Ancient Town For an in-depth tour of Wuyuan, I wholeheartedly recommend this idyllic guesthouse hidden at the foot of Huangling Mountain – Under the Maple Tree! The location is amazing, the experience is perfect, and you won't want to leave! The guesthouse boasts its own tranquil courtyard, unpretentious and exuding a natural and refreshing style. Sitting in the courtyard, the gentle breeze carrying the scent of grass and trees instantly dispels travel fatigue, leaving you wanting only to quietly enjoy this tranquility. The first floor houses a charming café, brimming with artistic atmosphere. Warm, soft lighting complements the elegant furnishings, and thoughtful details are evident in the small decorative items scattered throughout. Sipping a coffee, reading, chatting, or simply daydreaming is incredibly pleasant; every snapshot is a masterpiece of artistic style, the ambiance is simply irresistible. The upper floors are the accommodation area. The rooms are spotless, simply furnished, and comfortably decorated with excellent natural light and ventilation. There's no clutter, making for a peaceful and comfortable stay, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The guesthouse also has several adorable cats, all gentle and affectionate. You can spend your free time petting them, watching them lazily roll around and snuggle against you – it's incredibly heartwarming and therapeutic. The most surprising thing is its superb location! It's ridiculously close to Xiangao Ancient Town, just across a small river, about 100 meters away as the crow flies. You can easily walk around the ancient town, without rushing, allowing you to leisurely experience the charm of the old village – super convenient for getting around. Combined with Wuyuan's mild climate, the air here is crisp and sweet, with the constant chirping of birds. There's no urban hustle and bustle, only the beautiful harmony of nature and everyday life. Here, you can spend your days lazily in an artsy café, or stay in a clean and comfortable place with beautiful Huangling scenery right outside your door. It's the perfect place to stay when visiting Wuyuan.

We stayed for 3 days in this lovely hotel, the lady running the place was really nice and helped us organising trips in the Wuyuan area. From the terrace you have a great view of the village and can take great photos. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need. The lobby/ breakfast area has a lot of charme, since all the furniture is from another era and so the place just feels very original and homey. Even though on 2 of 3 days we were the only guests, we got a full buffet of delicious Chinese food for breakfast, including a good coffee. The organised trips with Mister Yu were such a pleasure, he showed us the best spots in the area and was a really good driver.

Our stay at Sanqingshan Junlan Resort Hotel was fantastic! Nestled amidst the mountains, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the rolling green hills right from our room, and the balcony provides an expansive panorama of the natural scenery. The facilities are comprehensive, with a heated swimming pool and a gym for relaxation, as well as a fun-filled kids' play area, making it perfect for families. The restaurant boasts an elegant ambiance and showcases local organic produce, allowing guests to savor authentic regional delicacies. The outdoor terraces in the resort are exquisitely decorated, providing a delightful spot to relax and enjoy the mountain breeze. The staff were attentive and thoughtful. The overall atmosphere is quiet and serene, making it an ideal place to rest and unwind after exploring Sanqing Mountain. It truly offers a complete resort experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sanqing Mountain!

Convenient location with parking, great value for money.

I booked this hotel at the foot of Mount Sanqing late in the evening, solely for the duplex layout. I didn't even check its location before booking, only to realize the next day when buying tickets that it's right next to the scenic area entrance – what a fantastic location! The next few photos are taken from the hotel's rooftop terrace – so beautiful! Oh, and summer in Sanqing Mountain is quite cool, though it can be a bit rainy. Sometimes you go up the mountain and it's so foggy you can't see anything, like being in the clouds. Now, about the stay itself. Even though it's a duplex, the bed on the first floor is a small one, tucked by the window near the staircase bend. It really only feels suitable for one person. If you're traveling with more people, this room configuration isn't ideal. My family of four (including two grown children) felt quite cramped sleeping there for one night. Actually, the first-floor space is quite large, but the hotel has used the bigger part for the living room. The sofa and coffee table just look out of place with the rest of the furniture, very mismatched and frankly, a bit low-rent. I can't help but wonder why they didn't just put a large bed on the first floor. That way, both levels of the duplex would have a big bed, and it would still feel spacious – wouldn't that be better? Oh, and here's a crucial point: the hotel's room hygiene definitely needs major improvement. On the toilet seat in the second-floor bathroom, we found some unidentified excrement *before* we even used it. When I communicated this to the staff, all I got was a simple ”sorry.” I ended up sanitizing the seat myself. Honestly, such disgusting hygiene issues are quite off-putting. I really hope they can strengthen their improvements in the future! Aside from that, everything else was quite satisfactory.
