A great experience! The room was spacious enough to accommodate our family of six. The decor was innovative, and it was fully equipped with daily necessities like a washing machine, refrigerator, kitchenware, and even condiments. It's also very close to the Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Highly recommended!

asiabroThis place is incredibly convenient, right next to the Bund and Nanjing Pedestrian Street – literally just a few hundred meters away. We happened to be here during a lockdown this time, and I was so glad it was so close, which made things much easier. If you're planning to visit the Bund and Nanjing Road, I highly recommend staying here!

Guest User🏨 Regent Shanghai Pudong | A Luxurious Stay on the Bund
“When Regent elegance meets the Bund's brilliance, it's more than just a stay; it's an immersive narrative of old Shanghai.”
🚪 First Impression: Understated Luxury, Starting with the Automatic Door
Before even stepping inside, the 'REGENT' sign, illuminated against the night sky, made a striking first impression. The hotel entrance features an automatic sensor door, allowing for a graceful, hands-free entry – Regent's initial welcome to its guests. Upon entering the lobby, the Art Deco-style reception area gleams under a colossal artistic chandelier. The circular concierge desk, like a stage center, already had two staff members waiting – yes, check-in here is done while seated. There’s no impersonal counter barrier, just a relaxing sense of being truly welcomed.
💁♀️ Butler Service: Yuki’s 'Above and Beyond' Philosophy
The day before check-in, Butler Yuki (I must emphasize: both beautiful and incredibly professional!) meticulously inquired about my preferences via WeChat. Upon arrival, she personally escorted me to my room, explaining everything from smart room controls to the minibar. She responded promptly to all my WeChat requests and even thoughtfully reminded me about the laundry service deadline – this feeling of being 'remembered' is the true soft power of a luxury hotel.
🛏️ Guest Room: The Bund View from Bed – No Exaggeration
The most astonishing surprise in the room was the direct view of the Lujiazui skyline from the bed. The Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower shimmered under the night sky, and cruise ships on the Huangpu River cut through the neon reflections – this window alone was worth half the room rate.
The turndown service was a continuous delight: a warmly handwritten welcome card, exquisite pastries under a glass dome adding a touch of ceremony, and even a custom-engraved luggage tag and art guide – this 'gift just for you' truly brought warmth to the member experience. The welcome amenities included fresh fruit and red wine, demonstrating attention to detail.
🍳 Breakfast: 'Slow' Food Moments at Harmonia Restaurant
Breakfast was served at Harmonia, with a menu blending classic Shanghainese dishes and Western delicacies. The black truffle lobster omelet was fragrant, and the steak with roasted tomatoes was perfectly cooked – my only minor regret was the slightly slow pace of service, but gazing at the Bund in the morning light, who would truly mind?
🏋️ Fitness Center: LifeFitness and Thoughtful Details
The gym is equipped with a full set of LifeFitness equipment. The treadmills not only had a pre-loaded hotel welcome interface but also thoughtfully provided bottled water. Sweating it out in the morning light or evening glow, with the Bund breathing outside the window, is a unique aesthetic of exercise only found at the Regent Shanghai Pudong.
🎨 Spatial Aesthetics: Every Corner is Curated
From the emerald green marble inlay in the elevator lobby to the corridor adorned with brass and dark wood accents, and the geometric light and shadow curtain at the entrance – the hotel itself is a contemporary art museum. Even the room key card uses a wooden chip design, with a warm touch reminiscent of old Shanghai's scholarly charm.
✨ Summary
The Regent Shanghai Pudong redefines luxury with its 'anticipatory service': the butler's pre-arrival greeting, the personalized gifts during turndown, that bottle of water on the treadmill… these 'non-essential' thoughtful touches precisely form the 'essential' unforgettable experience. If the Bund is Shanghai's façade, then the Regent Shanghai Pudong is its soul – outward brilliance of the river view, inward warmth of human touch.
Recommendation Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best Experience: Book a river view room and check in at sunset to let the Bund accompany you from dusk till starlight.
“Amidst the enchanting river views, begin a private sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle.” – The hotel's welcome card promised this, and they truly delivered. 🌃

Posted on Jun 5, 2026|The Bund Oriental Pearl View Terrace Double Bed Room
Guest UserThe location is super convenient, making it easy to get to the Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. From the balcony, you can even see the Oriental Pearl Tower. Breakfast can be delivered to your room; on the first day, we opted for room service and enjoyed it on the balcony, which was lovely. The second day, we went downstairs to the buffet, which offered a wider selection and was also great. The only downside is that there's no mini-fridge in the room; apparently, only the suites have them. The service was good, and they even gave us a small gift when we checked out.

Can you believe it when you come to Shanghai for a few hundred dollars to live in the Bund first-line river view room? This homestay, you can see the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl Tower and Lujiazui three-piece suite as soon as you lift your eyes in the room. The view of the rooftop is very good. The Bund is in front. The location is excellent. It is very convenient to go to major scenic spots.
