GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!

邓邓I came to Zermatt during an in-depth tour of Switzerland, which is the best hotel in this line!
The location is very easy to find. As soon as you get out of the train station, you can see a public bus with a battery. After getting off the bus, you can walk tens of meters through the supermarket. I love the layout of the garden lawn at first sight!
The grandmother at the front desk is very nice and tells you clearly about the hotel. The rooms are large and furnished very comfortably, with a wide view from the window. The room also has a kitchen, most of the cooking tools are complete.
Rich breakfast and comfortable environment! Stayed here for two nights, and friends of all sizes are unanimously praised!
In particular, the host family of the hotel is very nice and friendly!
I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity!

GGuest UserThe Matterhornlodge is located about a 5-10 min walk from the Zermatt station.
We arrived at about 1pm and were informed that check-in was only at 2pm so we went for lunch and returned at around 2.30pm. We were greeted by Ruth, the proprietress of the hotel, who gave us a comprehensive briefing of the house rules and policies. Ruth was very warm, friendly, and charming; she was very guest-focused and was happy to find out more about where we were from and what we planned to do. Ruth even gave us recommendations for Bern when we told her we were going there next.
Although the hotel is stated to be 4 stars, we were very impressed by the room and the amenities. The bathroom came with a bidet and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The room was also very spacious with enough room to open up 2 luggage bags. The towels and robes were thick, warm, and fluffy.
The breakfast provided in the morning was also quite good with a decent selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs.
At checkout, Ruth also gave us a complimentary ride to the train station in her electric vehicle.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Matterhornlodge and we were very impressed by Ruth’s hospitality.

HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserHygiene is not up to standard, there are hairs on the bed. The spacer laid under the sheets was shorter than the mattress, making it uncomfortable to lie on. The quilt is very strange. The size of the quilt is very small and the quilt cover is not a set. The big bed is actually two beds pushed together with a slit in the middle. There are free drinks in the room refrigerator and a chocolate as a gift. The hotel provides round-trip pick-up service, but it can only go to the train station, and you have to bring your luggage to the train station. I want to go to the train station in advance to use this service, but it is not possible. It is really stubborn.

GGuest UserThe lobby and outdoor leisure area of the four-star hotel are very warm, welcome champagne, and train station pick-up and drop-off is required. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is warm.
Disadvantages: 1. The hotel gate is facing a large cemetery by the river. Although there are flowers and grass in the Swiss cemetery, it is not surprising, but you should pay attention to the room orientation.
2, 12 years old and over, an extra bed 180 Swiss is too expensive! You can book a single room next to the hotel. Be careful!

Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s.
Breakfast had a good selection.
Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates.
The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.

NNYTravelsWe love the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the balcony of our room gave us a clear view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is easily accessible from the Zermatt train station and the Town centre .
We loved the room allocated and found it extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet which was pretty extensive.
Staff was really pleasant and helpful at all time. Our receptionist even escorted us to the room by stairs because their lift was not functional when we checked in.
The only regret was that we were unable to utilise the sauna and swimming pool facilities due to time constraints.
Will highly recommend the hotel to those who are looking for value for money stays whilst in Zermatt.

AAndreClose to the train station. Although I got an upgrade to a double room, it was small (the table in front of the bed takes a lot of space). The bathroom was big and clean but outdated. The balcony was nice but not really needed in winter.
Everyone can enter the ski room and the individual locker cannot be locked. Perfect for thieves.
