Amazing
CCalitosWe just came here without many informations about this hotel, but their hospitality from staffs was Really Really great. I felt like I was staying 5+star hotel from their kindness.
Picked up by hotel car, free sauna, free to use mini bar, great balcony view considering the cost of staying, and also took us to the station again when we left.
I would strongly recommend this hotel, and there is also sister hotel named Hotel Daniela probably also great guessing from my experience from Hotel Chesa Valese.
Hope everything well to the hotel family and staffs.
We really have enjoyed to staying there.
HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!
AAnonymous UserThe view is amazing. The service is really great. Someone was very enthusiastic to show me the room. This is the first time I've encountered this in Europe. Although the hotel upgraded the room and there is a large terrace, the building is too low and the view in front is blocked. I don't know if this price is for the first floor. I'm also speechless. But the hotel has three swimming pools and the facilities are great. But the first floor room has a smell. It feels big. It's like the smell of wooden furniture. It's very smelly. Although they helped to deal with it, I didn't want to be sprayed with air freshener again. I didn't feel very comfortable staying for one night. There is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. When I went there, I forgot that I had walked there. I took a detour and walked for a long time.
YYan Jai YOLOThe waiter's attitude is good, the breakfast is very good, the choice is many, the hotel is very convenient, very clean, there are many restaurants next to it, not far from the train station and the cable car station, very convenient
GGenesis.MYIt's within walking distance of Zermatt station and comes highly recommended for families with kids. The kids' club is very entertaining, and children can also enjoy the spa and pool. We will definitely return for a stay in a different season, as summer can be a bit too warm for staying in the room.
邓邓I came to Zermatt during an in-depth tour of Switzerland, which is the best hotel in this line!
The location is very easy to find. As soon as you get out of the train station, you can see a public bus with a battery. After getting off the bus, you can walk tens of meters through the supermarket. I love the layout of the garden lawn at first sight!
The grandmother at the front desk is very nice and tells you clearly about the hotel. The rooms are large and furnished very comfortably, with a wide view from the window. The room also has a kitchen, most of the cooking tools are complete.
Rich breakfast and comfortable environment! Stayed here for two nights, and friends of all sizes are unanimously praised!
In particular, the host family of the hotel is very nice and friendly!
I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!
GGuest UserThe Matterhorn is clearly visible from the hotel's lawn, and the scenery is unparalleled. There is a free spa area, the room is very clean and the facilities are new. The only drawback is that we booked three rooms and only one had a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. In fact, many rooms in the hotel face the Matterhorn. In short, overall it's pretty good.
GGeraldineBooked a family room for 3 adults and 1 child.
Service at front counter is excellent! Courteous, friendly and informative. Also we got upgraded! Room is clean and spacious and has a balcony. On going renovation next door during our stay in Oct 2024.
Resort has 2 restaurant at the hotel but one apparently requires reservation and has seating time. We were famished when arrived at the restaurant at 8pm, but were told to come back at 830pm for second seating. Such a disappointment when the front counter service was excellent. Had dinner at the pub instead, food wasn’t too bad.
Spa facilities was great. Would stay at the same Ola e again. Value for money
GGuest UserGeographical location 🌟🌟🌟🌟:
On the hillside, it is quite tiring to climb a considerable distance on the day of check-in, but if you can determine the time to reach the train station, you can book the hotel's small bus in advance to pick it up. We just didn't make an appointment in advance, and we were tired enough to push our luggage to climb.
The hotel provides an elevator card for the up and downhill after check-in, and the up and down passage shared with the opposite hotel makes it easy to get in and out every day, which is great!
Check in room 🌟🌟🌟:
I booked a superior double room with a terrace. When I checked in, I had some small problems. I started to say that I couldn’t swipe both cards. Then I checked into the balcony room on the second floor and temporarily changed it to the first floor. I had to carry two large luggages. Go down the stairs, it’s tired enough 🤪
Fortunately, the view of the room itself is OK. You can see Matterhorn from the balcony door. There is a large snow field outside the first floor. It just snowed for two days. I made a snowman with the little sister next door. It was OK.
The room is a wooden room as a whole, the heating measures are good, the bathroom is a bathtub shower, so if you are not used to the aerospace friends, you have to pay attention to the overflow situation when washing, it is easy to leak water.
Service attitude 🌟🌟🌟🌟:
The boss was very nice. When I checked in, the front desk lady gave a detailed introduction to Zermatt's travel route. What line is going to go? The boss saw that we wanted to go to cevinia and reminded us that the wind cable car could not be opened for the past two days. The wind can go back and forth through the slide! If you are not so confident in your ski level, it is recommended to check the cable car information before leaving.
When checking out, make an appointment with the front desk sister for departure time. The hotel bus will directly send the guests to the train station. The luggage will also help with the handling. It is very nice.
