Amazing
HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!
MMAKE.TIANThe location is very good, the balcony directly overlooks the Matterhorn, as does the restaurant. Although the facilities are a bit old and dated, the accommodation is still very comfortable, and the bed is very comfortable. In addition, there is a cemetery next to the hotel, which is fine for those who mind, but it seems that Westerners don't care, and it is in the center of the town.
YYan Jai YOLOThe waiter's attitude is good, the breakfast is very good, the choice is many, the hotel is very convenient, very clean, there are many restaurants next to it, not far from the train station and the cable car station, very convenient
Ddreamstone****This was the first hotel I stayed at in Switzerland, for two nights. I'd say it's a four-star hotel? But I had a very good experience. First, the location is absolutely fantastic, incredibly close to the train station. There's a sign across the street pointing to a small alley next to a restaurant; the hotel is just a minute's walk away. It's so convenient for getting luggage and catching the train. Although you can't see the Matterhorn, the view from the small terrace is quite nice. The two ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and greeted me when I arrived. Breakfast was fairly standard, just a typical European breakfast; you can order complimentary fried eggs or omelets. The downside is that the rooms are quite small, and the bathroom is tiny; you have to stand in the bathtub to shower (so there's no bathing option). Oh, and they were very kind to give me tea when I checked out.
GGuest UserActually, there is a hotel reception car at the exit, but we didn't know it.
I bought a bottle of red wine at the supermarket DENNE near the station, and ordered a steak on the 0th floor of the hotel. It was very comfortable for two people to share. Thank you hotel staff! We also ordered fried eggs for breakfast, which was good.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!
GGuest UserThe family suite was spacious, and the master bedroom balcony offered an unparalleled view of the Matterhorn.
The breakfast was quite good, with delicious bread and cheese.
The shuttle bus at the shuttle station seats six people.
GGenesis.MYThe stay would be ideal if the room included a fan, as it can feel a bit stuffy while sleeping during the summer. The location is convenient, and the kids' club, spa, and pool offer plenty of fun for the children.
AAndreClose to the train station. Although I got an upgrade to a double room, it was small (the table in front of the bed takes a lot of space). The bathroom was big and clean but outdated. The balcony was nice but not really needed in winter.
Everyone can enter the ski room and the individual locker cannot be locked. Perfect for thieves.
NNYTravelsWe love the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The view from the balcony of our room gave us a clear view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is easily accessible from the Zermatt train station and the Town centre .
We loved the room allocated and found it extremely comfortable. We also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet which was pretty extensive.
Staff was really pleasant and helpful at all time. Our receptionist even escorted us to the room by stairs because their lift was not functional when we checked in.
The only regret was that we were unable to utilise the sauna and swimming pool facilities due to time constraints.
Will highly recommend the hotel to those who are looking for value for money stays whilst in Zermatt.
