GGuest UserThe room is very close to the subway station, right outside the exit. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was spotless. The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even when our train arrived very early in the morning. Nearby, there are traditional hot pot restaurants and various local snacks, all delicious and affordable. We truly experienced the warmth and hospitality of Chongqing people. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance to visit Chongqing.

GGuest UserAs a long-time Marriott loyalist, I have mixed feelings and want to give an objective review:
First, the pros:
1. Excellent service. The doormen downstairs were proactive, offering umbrellas, opening car doors, and helping with luggage! Because it was rainy and humid in Chongqing, customer service helped me choose a few rooms. They then brought me a dehumidifier and arranged for my bedding to be dried. This deserves praise. Service gets 5 stars.
2. The room is very spacious. It's rare to find such a large room at this price! Very suitable for families! You can cook, and there's a washer and dryer in the room, which is a huge convenience!
3. Overall clean and hygienic. Although the facilities are a bit old, the cleanliness standards are very high!
All the above positives come from the service team. Kudos to you!
Now for the cons - addressed to the management team:
1. On rainy days, the room had a musty smell. This smell made me seriously doubt this was a Marriott; even the hallway felt comfortable, but once inside the room, it was unbearable! I checked out after one night.
2. The bed pillows are too high! I didn't sleep well all night. I strongly recommend changing the pillows! Take a cue from Atour! The pillows were also damp and cold!
3. Given the rainy weather in Chongqing, although a dehumidifier was provided, its effect was indeed minimal. A portable blanket dryer should be prepared! [I've included a photo of it]
4. The shower in the bathroom is truly difficult to use! Not only is it easy to mistakenly turn to cold water, but after applying shower gel, it gets very slippery, and you simply can't turn the round faucet! I was just standing in the shower, frustrated! [You should try it yourselves]

BBahuangzhenxingAfter comparing a few options, I finally chose this hotel on Trip.com because it's right by Jiefangbei, with a subway station and a snack street just outside – super convenient! When we arrived with the kids, the room wasn't huge, and the facilities weren't brand new, but it was incredibly clean, had an excellent location, and fantastic service. They were always willing to help and happy to answer any questions. There were plenty of charging outlets, and they thoughtfully provided disposable toilet seat covers, face towels, and paper cups. The floor-to-ceiling window offered a great view of the Yangtze River, and I felt completely safe. It left a really positive impression.

SSijiWhat a hidden gem I stumbled upon on Ctrip! It's half the price of a star-rated hotel but offers a unique experience comparable to one. I originally planned to stay only one night, but the hotel's location, layout, and cleanliness truly impressed me. The owner was also very responsive and helpful with any requests. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely book this hotel again the next time I visit Chongqing! 😁

Outstanding
___jtThe view from this hotel is really nice. It is located just above Hongya Dong so you’ll be able to see the city night lights on the bridge and the lit up ferries/cruises till 10:30pm. It is more Airbnb style. It is located in an old 20-30 year old building with marble flooring and entrance but poor building maintenance over the years. The lifts have cracks on the floor tiling and once you get off the lift, it’s like a construction site. The toilet bidet is super fancy that has lights that don’t turn off and opens every 30 mins or when it detects movement…but doesn’t open up fully either. It was more of a hassle for me having a lid on my back and would have much preferred a normal toilet. The shower hot water took a while to come and after a few minutes of hot scalding water, the water was freezing for the rest of my shower. Also there is no mirror in the bathroom or room and I had to ask to be provided a mirror. They gave me a small mirror that went up to the hips but you had to sit on the floor to see your reflection. The room was spacious and had great sound and projector system. For the price and compared to other expensive cities like Shanghai, the view was amazing and it was worth it. Probably won’t stay here again though when I come to Chongqing again.

DDajiangyouxiaojunTop-notch view! ✨ Just checked out and I have to rave about this amazing guesthouse! The location is incredible, only a five-minute walk to the beach. Evening strolls watching the sunset were so therapeutic. The room was clean and cozy, and the smart home features were super convenient to use. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the entire sea view perfectly, and waking up to the sun in the morning was pure bliss~ The owner even thoughtfully prepared local snacks and a travel guide. The value for money is absolutely fantastic, I'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍

GGenOhlsonThree stops away from the airport on line 3 (dark blue), this cute little apartment is suited perfectly for a day or two in the area. The building complex is conveniently situated right next to Huaxing subway stop, exit 1.
The building is called 'Huakai Youth City', but it's not a youth hostel specifically. It's a regular apartment building with families and people of all ages living there, so don't think you're screened off staying there on account of age.
The apartment itself is very clean with freshly laundered bedding and a small balcony that looks out onto the tree-lined street. A small kitchen has a couple of basics to supplement groceries bought. There is a supermarket directly under the apartment complex that could supplement any/all that you're missing. There are also a bunch of other amenities in the area including multiple pharmacies and a shopping mall.
The caretaker was very sweet and took a bunch of time out of his day to escort me personally down to the police station to register my passport in the area. Waited with me, accompanied me through the whole process and then took me all the way back. This would only apply if you're a foreigner.
The language barrier isn't an issue if you have a translation app set up or you could just add the person on Wechat and message translate.

TTwinniesWe selected the apartment due to it having a view of the drone show on Saturday nights. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and the view didn’t disappoint. It was right outside the window.
The apartment block is walkable to Hongyadong and the city centre sights.
The apartment block has many floors and our apartment was on floor 4. The loft can be busy but they arrive often. It’s an apartment block with residents so it was nice to see Chinese life.
The apartment is spacious and has good aircon and comfy beds. I asked the owner to get a squidgy mop for the bathroom as it’s a wet-room and the floor mop got wet quite quickly with 3 of us going in and out of the shower all the time. There were no balcony chairs and I suggested he get some for future residents too, so you can sit and watch the drones.

YyyAOW11The apartment is well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The room is bright, and the bedding is spotless. One of the shower doors in the bathroom was missing, which caused water to splash out when showering, but the room itself was quite spacious.
They provide mineral water, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, slippers, and umbrellas are available for loan. The toilet paper and tissues were of good quality; however, the hand soap was poor.
The apartment is right next to Jiefangbei. Bayi Delicious Street is just outside, and the Linjiangmen subway entrance is downstairs to the right. There's also a big dining plaza nearby, perfect for food lovers. It's also very close to Shibati and Hongyadong.
The apartment's host was incredibly thoughtful, offering warm tips and recommending authentic local restaurants.
