This historic hotel, having weathered the years, has shed its extravagance to offer a truly solid and comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and bright, with good soundproofing, allowing us to rest peacefully at night after days of sightseeing. The girls at the front desk were exceptionally polite; seeing that we were traveling with children and seniors, they thoughtfully upgraded our room – another pleasant surprise during our trip. The staff were patient and attentive, striking just the right balance.
The concierge service for luggage storage was convenient, and food delivery to the room was quick and easy, with Mr. Guan Longhai providing meticulous service. The room was tiny, I mean, really tiny. There was no space for luggage; if you put it on the floor, you couldn't walk. I originally booked a windowless room, and they said they upgraded me to one with a window, but it faced a wall about 50 centimeters away. So, open or closed, it was dark, and if you opened it, all you heard was the buzzing of the AC unit outside, so it was better to keep it shut. The breakfast was good, and the location was decent. The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the New World Department Store building, with Chongmun Station on Subway Line 5 just downstairs. There are numerous large shopping malls nearby, lots of great restaurants, and it's convenient to get anywhere. The room's cleanliness was also very good. I particularly liked their hairdryer; it's very powerful, which is great for people with long hair. The only thing I was unhappy with was their internet 🛜 – it's really bad and often disconnects, especially in the bathroom. As soon as you enter, the Wi-Fi drops. This is my second time staying at Peace Hotel, first time was in 2017. This time we stayed at the newer West Wing. We initially had only planned to stay one night but decided to extend our stay and stayed 5 nights this visit. The hotel gave us a voucher for complimentary art workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and so did my nieces. Location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance to few subway stations and just one block away from downtown commercial shopping. Staff are friendly, great breakfast selection, rooms are, clean and spacious. The housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly, they are constantly maintaining the cleanliness and tidyness of the space. We did not get a chance to use the pool, as the day goes by it gets pretty busy with kids, swimming cap is mandatory and can be purchased from the gym trainers. The laundry room was convenient (3 washer, 3 dryer), detergent supplied, but the dryer takes a long time to fully dry so we ended up airing our clothes in our suite. This was my first time staying at the Park Plaza. We came because my child had an exam at the Academy of Arts and Design's attached high school. When we arrived, I didn't even realize there was a hotel next door. What drew us in was the parking lot we spotted as we drove by, and it was indeed very close to the school. The security guard at the entrance confirmed there was plenty of parking, and we were impressed to find both above-ground and underground spaces. So, we decided to book a room. The price was reasonable, not expensive at all, and the hotel had everything: a restaurant, breakfast, and a gym.
Stepping into the lobby, it was bright, and a pleasant aroma filled the air, immediately giving us a holiday vibe and easing our nerves. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and thorough during check-in. She double-checked our late checkout request multiple times to ensure it was fine. Knowing we were there for our child's exam, she even extended our checkout to 3 PM, which was a very rare and thoughtful gesture. Despite many students and parents checking in, it never felt crowded. The elevators were fast, room service was prompt, and the little robot delivering items was adorable and busy.
The room itself was spacious and clean. The first night, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't very hot, possibly due to a high number of guests, but the bathtub was very comfortable, and the bedding was cozy. There was a slight creak when turning over, but it was acceptable. Staff were quick to respond to any extra requests. Parking was free after registering at the front desk.

We had such a fantastic time bringing our child to the Le Du Port Marriott this trip! My child was participating in a robotics competition, and after adding the hotel's butler, Skyller, on WeChat, they pre-checked us in so my child could rest during lunchtime. We learned it was also my child's birthday that day, and they even prepared balloons and a small cake, which made my child incredibly happy. Any requests were promptly addressed. A huge thumbs up to Skyller! 👍 The room was spacious and clean, and the children's amenities were thoughtfully prepared; the small slippers and toothbrush made my child feel really involved. The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe.
The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. 1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable.
2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy!
3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms.
4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty.
Cons:
1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room.
2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee.
3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable.

The Xishan Hot Spring Hotel, touted as a 'land cruise,' certainly lives up to its name. We booked a family-themed package that included daily hot spring passes for 2 adults and 1 child, breakfast, one full buffet meal, and late-night snacks. The hot springs are very distinctive, especially the fish therapy and ******* medicine pools. They even provide face masks and hot compresses. The food selection is incredibly rich, with a seafood theme, and the cold drinks feature Häagen-Dazs. The second and fifth floors offer numerous family-friendly activities like go-karts, bowling, billiards, hopscotch, and a petting zoo – you'd need more than a day to try everything. The hot springs also offer overnight packages, with a variety of spacious and uniquely designed pods on the second floor and B1, offering excellent value for money. It was freezing outside in winter, but super warm inside – I felt like I could wear a T-shirt, the air conditioning was excellent. The service was generally great. My child threw a beanbag up onto the ceiling, which was about three or four meters high, and the hotel staff even managed to get it down for us. I'm very grateful for that. I deducted 0.5 points for service because the front desk staff seemed clueless; when I asked where to feed the alpacas, they said they didn't know and that it was handled by the hot springs area, implying it wasn't under their management. They mentioned the hot springs and entertainment were outsourced. However, we found the alpacas just a short distance outside the hotel lobby entrance, along with geese, ducks, and chickens. There were three large and two small alpacas, and they were adorable. Do bring them some carrots and greens; they looked quite hungry. For breakfast, go early, before 8 AM, as it's very abundant. If you go later, you'll miss out on the delicious cream cakes. Dinner was a buffet due to New Year's, and the seafood was quite fresh for the hotpot. The hot springs were a bit crowded, but the kids had a good time, mostly hitting each other with ocean balls. There weren't many indoor hot spring pools, making it a bit cramped. The room is very spacious, and the bathroom area is quite large, perfect for a family. There's plenty of room for dining and playing together. The height of the chairs and tables is a bit mismatched; you sink in quite a bit when you sit down. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids. Plus, there's a private indoor hot spring in the room, which is free and quite nice. The hotel breakfast is pretty average, with the variety and taste on par with a 3-star hotel in the city center. After booking the hotel, I saw a lot of negative reviews, which made me quite nervous. However, I found it to be pretty good in reality. The environment is beautiful and the air is pleasant, perfect for a relaxing 'lie-flat' vacation, so I ended up staying for three nights.
As a five-star hotel, the hardware facilities, room layout, and spatial design are all top-notch. The accompanying gym and pool are also excellent. The gym has water and towels, and a good range of equipment, so I'd give it a five-star rating.
The main complaint about breakfast seems to be the small restaurant, but I personally felt the food variety met expectations. The live cooking stations for noodles and wontons were quite tasty, and there were also specialty 'huoshao'. The omelet chef was very friendly, and there were several coffee machines, both capsule and regular. The hot dishes were indeed limited, only three or four, which is a clear drawback. Also, the small cakes common in other five-star hotels were missing. I'd give it a four-star rating, but it's certainly not bad.
The Chinese restaurant, however, offers poor value for money. It's expensive with limited variety, many dishes didn't inspire me to order, and the taste was just average. Overall, the dining is a relative weakness. The Jing A beer at the lobby bar wasn't expensive, though. There are many takeaway options, but the robot delivery was a bit slow.
The housekeeping staff were very diligent, providing plenty of water and amenities. I was just a little surprised that after excitedly bringing my own tea, there were no tea sets. It was also a bit inconvenient that there were no toiletries by the bathtub.
The front desk staff were also fine. The World Horticultural Exposition is right outside, and the complimentary hot spring tickets made it an excellent value. I hope they continue to operate well, and I would stay here again if I have the chance.
Oh, and the entrance and exit to the underground parking lot are a bit small, so be careful when passing other cars.FromCAD 112

I chose Nuo Hotel for my birthday this year, and I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk wished me a happy birthday during check-in. They upgraded me to an executive floor, which was beautifully decorated with a great ambiance, and the view from the window was also lovely. I drove here this time, and at checkout, I wasn't proactively informed about parking fee waivers or anything similar. My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing was absolutely perfect, earning a full five-star review! I experienced both the main building and the traditional courtyard rooms. The location is superb, right next to Wangfujing and within walking distance to the Forbidden City, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel's design is truly unique and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the amenities are high-quality and smell wonderful – every detail shows great care.
