Shantou Hotels with Balcony

The soundproofing in the hotel room wasn't great. On the first night, we could hear every conversation from both upstairs and downstairs. The facilities also felt a bit old, and the cleanliness could have been more thorough and meticulous. However, all the staff members had excellent service attitudes; they were patient and actively helped resolve issues. A special thank you to the front desk manager and the two female staff members on the morning shift of May 3rd 👍🏻 for sorting out our room problem.

This guesthouse is located in the Shiyihe Art Village, near Shantou High-speed Rail Station. It's quiet, clean, and tidy inside. Each room has its own bathroom and they're all quite spacious. There's even an additional bathroom in the courtyard. The entire guesthouse spans over 200 square meters, boasting a stylish and minimalist design. You can do karaoke and cook here, making it ideal for large families or gatherings with friends. It's very comfortable, and the host is super responsive to any issues. The village itself is also great for a stroll; it has preserved many traditional elements, with all the houses being small, uniform quadrangle courtyards. The streets and alleys are quite clean, and there are many dining options nearby. You can drive into the village's main archway street, but access to the smaller alleys is limited to walking or electric scooters. However, the host will help with luggage.

Stumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience. **Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise. **Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality. **Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude. This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

The environment here is great, and it offers excellent value for money. They even gave us a free room upgrade! It's surrounded by shopping areas, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The staff, especially the ladies, were very attentive and accommodating, always ready to help. Plus, the beef brisket rice downstairs is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

No regrets paying more for this beautiful homestay! 花多点钱住这里一点遗憾也没有！ My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room. It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness. Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside. Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible. Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need. Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!! All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

This time, I brought my child along, so I decided to stay in the county town. First, let's talk about the location. The B&B's location is excellent, with free parking available. Although it's a short walk, it's manageable. Right downstairs, you'll find various restaurants and bubble tea shops. It's practically the Houzhai CBD, very convenient. The only minor drawback is that the hot water is very slow; it takes a long time to come on. After communicating with the owner, they explained that the pipes are long, and you need to let the cold water run out before the hot water arrives. Now, let's focus on the B&B's hygiene and service. The B&B is located in an older building, but the rooms are all new, and the hygiene is exceptionally well-maintained. It's clean and odor-free, which already surpasses many B&Bs. Furthermore, the attention to detail is excellent. Right outside your room on the same floor, the owner provides various daily necessities (dental floss, rubber bands, hair clips, razors, makeup remover wipes, etc.). So thoughtful! Regarding service, the owner led us to the parking lot on an electric scooter. We hadn't checked in yet, and the owner helped us transport our luggage to the B&B. When we checked in, our luggage was already in the room. My child had hives and scratched their skin until it bled a bit, getting some blood on the sheets. I proactively asked the owner if I needed to pay a cleaning fee, but the owner didn't charge anything. What a generous gesture! The off-season price is also very affordable. Overall, for a 207 RMB B&B, I'd give it a 90 out of 100. The 10 points deducted are in hopes that the owner can improve the hot water facilities. We'll definitely come again if we have the chance!

Cleanliness: The room's cleanliness could use improvement; there were a lot of crumbs on the carpet. We booked an executive room, which was spacious and had good floor space, but it faced the street, so it was really noisy with motorcycles roaring by at night. The curtains didn't block out enough light, making the room a bit bright. The pillows weren't latex or buckwheat. There are many restaurants nearby, and a braised hot pot place nearby was quite good.

I stayed for three nights. The location is in the old town, a place with a lot of historical significance. The guesthouse room is about 30 square meters, very spacious, and even has a projector and a small balcony—surprisingly, it's only a little over 100 yuan! The landlady is very prompt in cleaning and replenishes all items. The guesthouse is a five-minute walk from a small park, and there are also some unique photo spots for photographers. You can take a taxi to the square ferry; it only costs one yuan to enjoy a stunning sunset on the boat! I recommend arriving around 4:30 pm. If you want to eat, take a taxi to Longyan South Food Street—there's a dazzling array of food to choose from!

Exceptional Stay – Panorama Sea View Every staff member I encountered – from reception to housekeeping – went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness, efficiency, and genuine hospitality really made me feel valued as a guest. They also help to receive my taobao delivery of parcels. Well down for all staff. They also specially provide our room upgrade for seaview to our special honeymoon couple. The hotel’s room & lobby cleanliness is well-maintained. My room felt fresh, tidy, and inviting, with thoughtful touches that showed the care and attention put into daily upkeep. The housekeeping team did an amazing job, and I truly appreciated their promptness and consistency throughout my stay. The location is also a major highlight – conveniently situated near key attractions located at seaside , dining options, yet peaceful enough for a restful night’s sleep. It made exploring the area effortless, and I could easily return to the hotel for a quick rest before heading out again. The amenities are well-equipped, thoughtfully designed to cater to both leisure and big group of families. From the helpful lounge areas to the private big room, and in-room conveniences, everything was in place to make my stay both enjoyable and productive. Overall, my experience here was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to find a place that delivers consistently on all fronts – service, location, and amenities – but this hotel truly does. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their dedication and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future.

I booked this hotel with my colleagues and discovered this hidden gem! The environment was lovely and quiet; the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. Enjoying the complimentary drinks on a leisurely afternoon was delightful. The room we stayed in was unique and charming; a few of us could sing karaoke and have a few drinks together. If you're looking for dining, just tell the manager; they cook a lot of delicious local dishes – truly fantastic!
