Koh Samui Hotels with Balcony

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Fantastic clean massive room with everything you would need, gorgeous balcony and daily maid service. Brilliant evening entertainment and great cocktails all within walking distance of some of the nicest restaurants and bars on Koh Samui and right near Coco Tams for fire show and Fisherman’s village a vibrant night market. Oh i forgot to mention breakfast was lovely so much variety and all well cooked. The staff were all very pleasant too,

What I liked: 1) The room view and its size (but we paid a significant amount extra for it, because the initial room was impossible to sleep in - more on that below) 2) Quick problem resolution by staff 3) Daily, high-quality cleaning 4) Huge, comfortable bed, good pillows 5) Quiet in the new building, comfortable for sleeping What I didn't like: 1) Initially, we had booked a deluxe room with a garden view. Upon check-in, we were extremely tired after three flights and almost immediately fell asleep. We woke up at midnight to some wild noises (which turned out to be frogs) that didn't stop, and it was impossible to sleep. The old door had a huge gap, through which the sound barely diminished, as if we were sleeping outdoors. We had to urgently request a room change. Ultimately, they promptly provided us with a replacement in the new building, which was 1.5 times larger in area and 1.5 times more expensive, so we had to pay a significant amount extra, but it was worth it. 2) The breakfasts were terrible - stale bread and overripe fruit; the chef's eggs Benedict were mediocre. In the end, we went elsewhere for breakfast. 3) The air conditioning was very loud, making it impossible to sleep with it on, so we ended up sleeping without it.

We stayed in room 202, which is a detached bungalow. It's a two-story room with a bathtub on the terrace, and the view overlooks lush greenery and the Gulf of Siam. There's so much greenery around, it felt like we were in an arboretum. Also, there are snails living on the hotel grounds, so be careful not to step on them on the paths in the dark. The breakfasts were absolutely superb, and a special thanks to the employee who made the juice. She's so cheerful, brightens everyone's day, and makes such delicious juices, cutting the fruit right in front of us – the mangoes from her hands seemed even tastier! We enjoyed the live music at the Roy Roy restaurant. In the evenings, they brought lovely treats to the room, and during the day, they laid out towels on the sun loungers, brought cold water, and mini ice cream or watermelon. A big thank you to the staff. We will definitely return to this hotel!

Excellent Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui! We drove all the way from Bangkok, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The concierge team promptly assisted with our luggage and parked our car, making our arrival completely seamless. The lobby and check-in area are absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful Koh Samui coastline. It is one of the best places to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. We were assigned Room 503, which was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The privacy compartment doors made it ideal for families, and the sofa bed was surprisingly large and comfortable—perfect for our 19-year-old son. Pros: - A beautiful private beach with complimentary kayaking. While it may not be the best beach for swimming, it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities. - The buggy service was incredibly fast and efficient. Every driver was friendly, cheerful, and always ready to take us anywhere around the resort within minutes. - Outstanding hospitality and guest service. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to Mr. Ruben for taking such great care of us throughout our stay. - The concierge team did an excellent job arranging our private long-tail boat tour. We had a wonderful day visiting Pig Island, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying the beauty of Koh Samui. Everything was organized perfectly. - The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. The bacon and pastries were among the best we've had, and a special thank you to Mr. Ping for serving us the sweetest, most delicious mangoes every morning. - Our housekeeping attendant, Mr. Renu from Myanmar, was exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. He kept our room spotless every day, and his attention to detail made our stay even more comfortable. During check-out, I had a pleasant conversation with Bernice, the Director of Rooms from Malaysia. Our chat about Malaysian food brought back wonderful memories and was a lovely way to end our stay. Three nights simply were not enough at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. This is the kind of resort where you should stay for at least one week to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. Unfortunately, I didn't even have enough time to experience the gym, which looked excellent. Only one small suggestion: the breakfast seating area can get a little warm during the morning. Of course, that's part of the tropical outdoor atmosphere—almost like a natural sauna—but a few more cooling fans would make the experience even more comfortable. Overall, we completely fell in love with The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. The breathtaking scenery, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and warm hospitality from every member of the team made this an unforgettable vacation. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly world-class stay in Koh Samui.

Where to start? Silavadee was truly our signature resort stay in Koh Samui, and we chose the Tropical Pool Villa for our two-night stay. My only regret is listening to my wife when she suggested experiencing another area of Koh Samui, which meant we had to move to another hotel after Silavadee. This is a perfect resort for couples, with some of the most spectacular villas we experienced during our Thailand honeymoon. Everything in the room has been carefully selected and thoughtfully placed, from the special slippers and tote bag to the beautiful kimonos and even the yoga mat. You can really feel the attention to detail throughout the property. The staff were courteous, warm and very attentive to all of our requests and inquiries. We genuinely felt welcomed throughout our stay, and the team deserves a lot of credit for that. There is, however, one area that I personally feel the Silavadee management team should address. During our Thailand honeymoon, we stayed at six different hotels, and unfortunately, Silavadee had the weakest breakfast in terms of overall variety. We also tried the burger and pizza by the pool, but both were quite bland and, in my opinion, did not reflect the quality of the resort itself. A property of this calibre deserves an equally impressive food experience. That said, I have to give a special mention to the noodle station at breakfast. It was fantastic. The young chef working there was creating genuinely magnificent noodle dishes, with very well-balanced use of condiments and flavours. It was easily one of the highlights of the breakfast for us. Despite the points mentioned above, Silavadee completely stole our hearts. It is a beautiful, intimate and romantic resort, and we were genuinely sad to leave after only two nights. We hope to return one day, hopefully during a period with better weather and in the high season, so we can experience Silavadee at its very best.

We had a wonderful stay at Dara Samui. The receptionist was super kind and showed us all the amenities, explained clearly all the rules and time check in/out time, cleaning times, pool and breakfast times. They upgraded our room the highest level, so we were right by the pool with a very private garden and lots of privacy. The room was incredible and the shower was outdoor which made it super special. I am really grateful to the staff for their kindness. The cleaner was really good as well, she even gave us some flies insecticide due to the amount of flies near the bushes which can’t be helped in this heat. The breakfast has good variety from fruit, salads, yogurts, cereals, an egg station for eggs freshly made in any possible way (even crepes and omelettes). Also curry, rice, various meats, sushi and potatoes. Really good selection. The pool is nice and clean but most of all, very picturesque with beautiful flowers all around. It made the experience magical. Definitely would stay there again. 10/10 🙏

The hotel is beautiful, cozy, and green. We stayed in room S07, which was close to the beach. It's a two-story building with four rooms, and we were on the second floor. We didn't hear anyone, and although the terrace was shared by two rooms, we never saw our neighbors, and the terrace itself was quite spacious. The room was simply fantastic, decorated in a Thai style with wood everywhere, including the floor. The bathroom had tiles. We booked a room with a bathtub and a shower with a door. I don't think I've ever seen a room cleaned so immaculately in my life. Please commend the staff member responsible. It was simply perfect. They didn't just clean; they beautifully arranged everything, including our glasses, towels, and bathrobes. Not a single grain of sand was to be found. My heartfelt thanks. The beds were good, and the linens and towels were white and new. The air conditioning was a bit noisy but very well-placed, not blowing directly onto the bed. For me personally, this is the most important factor when choosing a hotel. The breakfasts were delicious: coffee, tea (which you could brew in a kettle), pastries, eggs, soups, Thai dishes, and some European options. The croissants were fantastic. There was plenty of fruit, and some seafood dishes were also available. The beach is beautiful, but there are some rocks and seaweed to the right, so everyone tends to move to the left, which makes it feel a bit crowded there. It's important to note that there are clubs nearby with loud music playing almost all night, and planes fly overhead, with the first one acting as an alarm clock at 7 AM and the last one around 10 PM. They don't fly at night. There's a market, plenty of cafes, and a shopping center nearby. Overall, despite being in the very center and near clubs, the hotel managed to maintain a green and quiet environment, and it was perfectly clean. I recommend it.

Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel. The hotel itseld doesn’t have beds on the beach itself, however, the beds are just above and around the pool area that overlooks the beach. If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily.

The hotel has really beautiful surroundings, a nice room, and a pool. However, it was very windy and the water was dirty, and there's no beach directly at the hotel. You have to walk to get to the beach. Other than that, everything was great! So beautiful!

It is a very good place to relax, quiet, peaceful, really relaxing. The accommodation is beautiful, the sunlight, the lights, the air conditioning is cool, everything is good. If I go to Samui again, I will definitely come back to stay again.
