SShiguangyouzou007I found a hidden gem of a hotel in Jiefangbei, and it exceeded all my expectations! 📍 The Ark Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch) has an unbeatable location, right outside Jiefangbei. My room directly overlooked the Jialing River, and opening the window revealed the dazzling nightscape of Mountain City. The twin towers in the distance glowed with a soft golden outline, creating an incredible atmosphere. The room boasted a sophisticated minimalist style, with furniture in rich wood tones complemented by luxurious Brazilian stone accents. The Serta mattress was incredibly soft – once I lay down, I didn't want to get up. My favorite part was the large bathtub; soaking in warm, bubbly water while gazing at the city lights outside instantly melted away all my travel fatigue. The hotel's public areas are also incredibly stylish. The dark-themed lobby with its crystal chandeliers and vintage sculptures makes for a perfect high-end photo op. And the beef brisket noodles for breakfast were so fragrant, especially with a freshly fried soft-boiled egg – a perfect way to power up for a day of exploring Mountain City. Being within walking distance of Jiefangbei and Hongyadong made getting around super convenient!

GGuest UserThe environment and service at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay are both top-notch. The guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area entrance. Upon arrival, you're greeted by a tranquil courtyard surrounded by lush mountains and clear waters. The fresh air carries a faint scent of flowers and earth. The guesthouse features a modern minimalist design, with wooden pavilions and intricately carved window frames; every detail showcases the unique charm of the local culture. In terms of service, the staff are warm and attentive, from the thoughtful check-in guidance to meticulously planning sightseeing routes for guests, reflecting their genuine care. Here, you can savor authentic Bayu cuisine and experience a home-like warmth. In the morning, as the first rays of sunlight hit your window, you can stroll through the forest and embrace nature's bounty. After nightfall, the guesthouse glows with warm lights, reflecting the starry sky, making you feel as if you're in a dreamland. Every moment at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay is a wonderful encounter with nature and culture, leaving you lingering and looking forward to your next visit.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right next to Raffles City, and within walking distance to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The subway is also very close, so getting around is completely stress-free. The hotel is on a high floor, offering panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows. You can watch the sunset in the evening and enjoy the night views of the two rivers from your bed, overlooking the entire city – perfect for stunning photos! The room was spotless, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with no odd smells. After a long day of travel, a good night's sleep here is incredibly refreshing. The toiletries were high-quality, and the attention to detail was evident. The front desk staff were gentle and patient, and check-in was very quick. The lobby design is simple yet sophisticated, and the common areas are clean and tidy.

GGuest UserFirst, let's talk about the positives: the room had a separate trash can for takeout, which helped with odors. The lady at check-out was also pleasant. Now for the problems, and this is by far the most problematic four-star hotel I've ever stayed in. It's the first time I've written a lengthy review for a supposed four-star hotel. It's inexcusable that they still haven't ironed out these issues after being open for so long... No wonder many Globalists also complain about poor experiences at Atour. If you have platinum/diamond status with other brands, I honestly wouldn't recommend choosing Atour. This stay was a complete miss, and I won't consider any other hotels from this brand in the future. Here are the issues: 1. The Atour Xiao Cheng Xu smart butler wasn't enabled, so I couldn't use it to request items to be delivered to my room. (BTW, Xiao Cheng Xu is hard to use, which is a brand issue). 2. Before checking in, I specifically asked the brand's official customer service if Diamond members could enjoy their benefits (because Atour's member benefits only require personal use). So I came specifically to experience it, but I didn't expect such disdain for the member program and guests. Upon arrival, a younger front desk staff member sternly refused me, with a blank expression, saying there were no fruits or breakfast, and didn't mention supper or afternoon tea. They don't proactively inform you unless you ask. I'm not sure if they're intentionally trained this way or what. Also, the tabletops in the lobby lounge area were very dirty. 3. There was no phone in the room, and the 'Xiaodu' smart speaker was malfunctioning, causing my takeout to be delayed by an hour and a half. Attempts to call the front desk using Xiaodu also failed due to network issues and poor connection. It didn't work even after restarting it. If I hadn't added their enterprise WeChat, I would have had to go down to the front desk at 1:30 AM. 4. The notepad in the room had writing from the previous guest... The next day, housekeeping didn't replenish the towels or body lotion. This is the only four-star hotel where I've encountered this problem. Is their SOP based on budget hotels like Home Inn? Even though the hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, fine, but despite seeing that I regularly use a coffee machine, they only refilled two bottles of water... And the chain lock on the door was completely broken. When I reported it, they said engineering would fix it during cleaning, but it was still broken the next night. Regarding all these issues, there was no apology whatsoever. Their attitude gave the impression that they just want to rely on their location to do one-off business with most people.

GGuest UserNestled in one of Chongqing’s oldest suburbs, this hotel is an aesthete’s dream. My arrival was smooth thanks to the porter and hotel staff who met me at the closest drop-off location. Having WeChat and adding the hotel was a lifesaver. While English wasn’t widely spoken (except by the manager), the staff always seemed to understand my needs and requests. They were incredibly attentive and friendly. The room was stunning, as shown in the pictures. It was spacious and meticulously designed, truly a dream to stay in. As part of the booking, they offered a complimentary photoshoot. This was a unique experience and I jumped at the chance. Zihao, my photographer, listened to my needs and captured some incredible shots. These photos are a cherished memory. The breakfast staff were so friendly and a delight to see in the mornings. Despite not speaking English, one of the girls made a real effort to communicate. I surprised the hotel manager by asking him to organise a last-minute driver for the whole day to a remote town. He had it organised within 30 minutes. Another example of exceptional service. The only downside is the nearest Didi drop-off location is a bit of a downhill walk to the hotel and back. It was fine for me but those with mobility issues might find it tiring. I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a beautiful sanctuary in such a fast-paced city. I can’t wait to return.

GGuest UserThe Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei is located right within the Old North Hot Spring Park, a place famous for its 'Ba Mountains Night Rain' and as the 'Homeland of Hot Springs.' It's a must-visit, especially for the ancient North Hot Springs, which is surrounded by lush greenery and a thousand-year-old hot spring temple. It offers a very serene and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and clearing your mind. The private hot spring on the room's balcony is incredibly comfortable and great for alleviating fatigue. Owen provided exceptional service. The hotel's design is very distinctive, with every room offering views of the Jialing River.

HHeidiQI’ve stayed in Chongqing a number of times and always try different hotel each visit but this one is my favourite so far. The location is superb. It’s within 5 mins walking distance to many famous attractions of Chongqing. There’s a train station for line 2 near by as well. Plenty of food and shopping right outside. The hotel reception is on the 17th floor and it looks right onto the river. Staff and their service was incredible. Everyone was so nice and goes above and beyond for me. I mentioned I didn’t like the style of the room I had and they showed me all of the other styles and let me pick which ever one I wanted on the same price range. The reception is 24/7, they also have a WeChat account that you can message at anytime as well to ask questions. The amenities are great! They provide lots of little things at the reception. I really enjoyed staying here and would 100% come back next time!

GGuest UserLocation: The location is absolutely fantastic, right in a tall building next to Jiefangbei, and you can overlook Jiefangbei from the hotel. Service: The front desk service on the top floor was absolutely terrible!!! This is the first time I've encountered such a bad front desk service after staying in so many hotels both domestically and internationally!!! My partner checked in on the 25th, and everything was fine. I checked in around 9 PM (or a little after) on the evening of the 25th. One of the two front desk girls had an extremely mean attitude. When I handed her my ID to check in, after she registered it, she looked down at my ID again before returning it. Then she turned to the other girl, her 'oppa,' with a mocking smile and looked at my ID in my hand, whispering something. I don't know what she was laughing about, but I definitely felt offended. If it weren't for the queue behind me, I would have confronted her. My partner didn't get a welcome drink when they checked in on the 24th, so when I was checking in on the 25th, my partner wanted to say: 'I'd like to order a welcome drink, we didn't get one yesterday.' But before they could even finish, the front desk person impatiently interrupted: 'You can order it over there' (with a look of disdain, as if we were trying to take advantage of her). Later, a young couple came and wanted to order food, so they asked the front desk: 'Could you give us a menu?' The front desk person (with a puzzled expression): 'You want to order food now?' The couple: 'We'd like to order the wine package.' The front desk person: 'You want a wine list?' Then the male bartender next to her leaned over and asked: 'What's wrong?' She turned to the male bartender (with a mocking, playful tone): 'She wants a wine list.' (Don't tell me it's a Chongqing personality thing or Moxy's young style, I'm a local.) The front desk lady on the first floor on the 26th was super nice, though. Facilities: The facilities were typical Moxy decor, nothing outstanding. There was only bottled water in the room. The sewer smell was extremely strong, the entire room smelled damp and like a rag that had been washed but not dried properly. I called the front desk to ask for an air freshener, and they said they had mosquito repellent. Finally, an auntie brought an air purifier and sprayed some air freshener at the door and in the bathroom (which didn't really help). The top floor is a revolving restaurant, but it only opens at 1 PM, so I didn't get to experience it. Environment: The entire hotel reeked of fried crispy pork from downstairs, including the hallways, elevators, and especially the lobby on the first floor. The smell was intense. My partner and I, one stayed one night and the other two nights, felt like we were marinated in the smell.

RRakpatai### A Seamless Experience: A Review of [Insert Hotel Name] If you are looking for a property that strikes the perfect balance between professional convenience and genuine comfort, this hotel is an exceptional choice. My recent stay was defined by efficiency and relaxation, making it a standout option for both business trips and leisure. ### A Prime Location for Every Need The location of this property is undoubtedly one of its strongest assets. Situated in the heart of the city, it provides immediate access to major transit hubs and key business districts, which was a massive time-saver for me. Despite being so centrally located, the immediate surroundings remain remarkably quiet, allowing for a restful environment. Whether you need to catch an early meeting or want to explore the best local dining and cultural spots, everything is within a short, walkable distance—or a very brief ride away. ### Spacious, Well-Appointed Rooms The rooms here are a breath of fresh air. In a city where square footage often comes at a premium, this hotel delivers a genuinely **big room** experience. * **Layout & Design:** The layout is intelligently designed, separating the sleeping area from the work zone perfectly. It doesn't feel cramped, even with the addition of a comfortable lounge chair and a full-sized desk. * **Workability:** As someone who often works on the go, the dedicated workspace was a highlight. It is ergonomically sound, well-lit, and placed in a spot that feels private. * **Comfort:** The bed is excellent—supportive yet soft—and the blackout curtains ensure you can get a full night's sleep regardless of the urban activity outside. ### Comprehensive Amenities What truly separates this hotel from others is the depth and quality of its amenities. They have clearly put thought into anticipating every guest's potential requirement. * **Connectivity:** The high-speed Wi-Fi is reliable and fast, which is non-negotiable for modern travelers. I experienced no connectivity drops during my stay. * **Wellness Facilities:** The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machinery, and the pool area is impeccably maintained—providing a great space to decompress after a long day. * **In-Room Essentials:** The bathroom is fully stocked with high-quality toiletries, plush towels, and enough counter space to actually lay out your personal items comfortably. * **Service & Dining:** Room service was prompt and the menu offered a great variety of local and international options. The staff was attentive and handled requests with a high level of professionalism, which adds a layer of ease to the entire stay. ### Final Verdict Finding a hotel that hits the ”trifecta” of location, space, and amenities is rare, but this property manages it with ease. It is rare to find a place that feels this expansive while remaining so accessible. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values their time and prefers a stress-free, high-quality stay. I will certainly be returning on my next trip.
