SSusuWanderlustFinally, I got to check out the Arclight Hotel in Chongqing, which I've had on my must-stay list for ages.
The moment I stepped into the room, I was genuinely wowed. The dark wood finishes paired with warm accent lighting gave it a sophisticated, private apartment vibe, far from the gaudy feel of traditional hotels. The entire space featured an open-plan layout, seamlessly connecting the bed area to the bathtub and vanity, making it feel incredibly spacious and airy.

✔️ Floor-to-ceiling windows offer an amazing night view, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
✔️ Smart control system is convenient to operate.
✔️ The bedding is so soft you won't want to leave once you lie down.
My favorite spot was the bathtub area. At night, turning off the main lights and just having the warm ambient lighting, soaking in a hot bath while gazing at Chongqing's nightscape outside the window, truly felt like a temporary escape from the city. It's also incredibly photogenic. Every corner – by the bed, the bathtub, the mirrored entryway, the floor-to-ceiling windows – felt like it was straight out of a magazine.

Equipped with cardio machines, a smith machine, and a free-weight area. The dumbbell weights cover a good range, more than sufficient for maintaining your workout routine while traveling.
Laundry Room:
The hotel provides an independent self-service laundry area. There are plenty of washing machines and dryers, which is a big plus for business travelers and long-stay guests.
Breakfast:
A mix of Chinese and Western options, including hot dishes, baked goods, desserts, fruits, and beverages. They even thoughtfully prepared Chongqing noodles, which I found to be as good as, if not better than, what you'd find at some local eateries. Overall, the quality is above average for this price point.

The overall service was understated yet meticulous. From check-in to check-out, there was no excessive disturbance, making it perfect for couples on a romantic getaway, anniversaries, or solo travelers looking to unwind for a couple of days in Chongqing. They even thoughtfully provided afternoon tea.
If you're tired of the same old chain five-star hotels, the Arclight's design-focused and private atmosphere will genuinely be a refreshing change.

As someone who travels globally for business and frequently stays at InterContinental hotels, I recently returned from an InterContinental in Brazil, and honestly, there's no comparison – this Chongqing location is in a league of its own. The night view is absolutely stunning and incredibly relaxing, making it perfect for a travel stay. They provided a lovely welcome fruit platter and tea, and the fridge was well-stocked with drinks and snacks, including white wine! The hotel is conveniently located by the river, very close to popular attractions like Qianximen.

The room was clean and odor-free, the bedding was comfortable, and it was very quiet at night, so I got a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were polite and patient, always quick to help with any issues. They really pay attention to the details, and it's fantastic value for money. I've already saved it, and I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip.

NNianqingdeliI didn't take many photos. I booked the cheapest room, which was excellent value for money and even had a river view, though the Chongqing river view isn't anything special. I found the hotel butler service and attitude to be excellent. The service and quality at Baiya Restaurant were quite average, but the breakfast restaurant on B1 had good service and quality. The hotel is located in a scenic area, so during holidays, taxis can't reach the 'Jia Shi Elderly Care Home' (佳实养老院), only up to the entrance of Jintang Street. This distance is quite far, and sometimes after a long day of sightseeing, coming back felt a bit inconvenient. Also, the lighting in the bathroom and elevators was a bit dim. I think it might be to match the interior decor and create a certain ambiance. In the dimly lit elevator, it was sometimes hard to find where to tap the card. The brightness in the photos is probably because the flash was on; it's not that bright in reality.

The hotel’s location is excellent; it’s right next to a subway station, and there are many attractions nearby, making it very convenient for sightseeing. There’s a 24-hour front desk where you can send WeChat messages if you need anything. The service is excellent. Although it’s been raining in Chongqing these past few days, the hotel provided free umbrellas that could be borrowed. There’s also a coffee machine and microwave in the lobby, which is extremely convenient.

GGuest UserThe Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei is located right within the Old North Hot Spring Park, a place famous for its 'Ba Mountains Night Rain' and as the 'Homeland of Hot Springs.' It's a must-visit, especially for the ancient North Hot Springs, which is surrounded by lush greenery and a thousand-year-old hot spring temple. It offers a very serene and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and clearing your mind. The private hot spring on the room's balcony is incredibly comfortable and great for alleviating fatigue. Owen provided exceptional service. The hotel's design is very distinctive, with every room offering views of the Jialing River.

YYanglinqiThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They proactively contacted me about my room type and even gave me a thoughtful upgrade. Member benefits were substantial, with welcome fruits and drinks all arranged. The room itself was compact but cleverly designed, with plenty of hooks for storage, making it easy to place luggage and clothes. Housekeeping was meticulous, leaving no corner untouched, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm. The carpeted hallways provided excellent soundproofing. Although the pedestrian street downstairs was lively, the room was perfectly quiet once the door was closed. Bonus points for the details: high-speed WiFi, a mini-fridge, a walk-in shower, and a portable folding desk. The ability to open the room door and check in with just a tap on my phone made the whole self-service process very smooth and convenient.

It's located right in the Nanchuan Wanda business district, next to Line 3's Gongmao Station, making it super convenient to get to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. Plus, there's a one-stop shop for food and shopping right downstairs. As expected from a Marriott property, the quality is top-notch. The lobby has high ceilings and a strong artistic vibe, and the spiral staircase is fantastic for photos. The rooms are spacious and bright with separate wet and dry areas, and the amenities are premium. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views and stunning nightscapes. Sara and Daisy provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service – always smiling, enthusiastic, and quick to respond. The breakfast spread was excellent, a rich mix of Western and Chinese options, making for a perfect experience. It's ideal for both business trips and leisure travel. I was extremely satisfied with my stay!
