RReneehuangHighly Recommended Stay in Kyoto I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality. In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service. Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

__ZFB208800297398****The location is great for transportation. Even though we arrived a bit early, they weren't rigid about the 3 PM check-in time and our room was ready, which was a pleasant surprise. The room felt very comfortable, despite not being very large. The bathroom was a bit small. Being directly across from Kyoto Station made getting around incredibly convenient. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if they could add Alipay and WeChat Pay options for the laundry machines (as coins aren't accepted either), in addition to credit cards. Oh, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming!

Amazing
GGuominziThe attention to detail at this hotel is exceptional. The hotel's brochure provides incredibly detailed information about all facilities and their origins, covering everything from furniture and bedding brands down to the specific brand of mouthwash cups. The rooms are also spacious, and the air conditioning is remarkably quiet. The bakery in the ground floor lobby is delicious – truly, good ingredients make for great taste! I particularly liked the greenery right at the hotel entrance and the overall decor of the lobby. The only minor drawback is the lack of a convenience store nearby; you have to walk about 500-600 meters to find a FamilyMart.

1118133****This hotel exceeded my expectations, and I've already recommended it to all my friends and family! It's located right across the street from Kyoto Station, which means all kinds of inner-city and inter-city transportation are readily available – super convenient. The hotel is very new, and the service level is incredibly high; every detail is thoughtfully taken care of, even down to complimentary face masks for women. Breakfast is an elaborate spread of Japanese delicacies and of very high quality! Make sure to go early, or you'll have to wait in line. The room was exceptionally clean, with modern facilities, and the bedding was five-star quality. Every day after exploring, walking back to the hotel through Kyoto Station was a treat; the station itself is so lively and bustling with all sorts of delicious food options. Coming back to the hotel to find freshly replaced pajamas neatly folded on the bed was a really warm and thoughtful touch. I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a charming Japanese aesthetic. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, offering views of renowned temples. It's conveniently tucked away in an alley just opposite the train station, making it incredibly easy to get around while still providing a tranquil escape from the city buzz. The service was excellent, and the facilities were well-appointed. Breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented. Guests can also enjoy private onsen baths on the basement level, and afternoon tea is a delightful perk. Overall, I was extremely impressed and thoroughly satisfied!

RRizhaomengnvMy absolute favorite in Japan! The staff member at the front desk was incredibly friendly. All the water in the hotel is filtered and potable, which is a fantastic perk! My single room had excellent soundproofing and great blackout curtains – so much so that I even overslept and missed check-out the next day! I rushed out, forgot my room card, and the staff member patiently helped me out. I promise I won't be so silly next time! Highly recommended! The location is also fantastic, just about ten meters from the subway entrance – incredibly convenient! (Didn't manage to snap photos of the hotel itself, so here are a few from Kyoto instead!)

AAhmet ZekiDear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards, next visit to Kyoto. GGuest UserNice house with average services Front desk staff may arrive late so there are chances that you need to wait under the sun as all doors closed and you can only contact them by email during that time (not very responsive) Thin wall so may hear people talking in midnight Good experience overall despite the above Beds and tatami are very comfortable and smell good Taxi costs ard 1,000yen from kyoto station to the house

HHaoyunJeffI stayed over the weekend, paying 1000 RMB for a room with breakfast, and honestly, the value for money was terrible. It was double the price of a weekday stay. The room's decor felt dated, and despite being spacious, it had a strong guesthouse vibe that really didn't live up to its five-star luxury hotel status. Breakfast was just average, with a limited selection and particularly sparse fruit options.

TTinaI really like this hotel; it's a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The transportation is very convenient, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a noodle shop right behind the hotel that always has a long line. To the left of the noodle shop, across the street, there's a drugstore where you can park your husband at the hotel and shop to your heart's content. You can find almost anything that's out of stock on Xiaohongshu there. The room was much larger than the ones I stayed in Osaka, and it even had a microwave and a washing machine, so you could have breakfast right in your room. However, I definitely don't recommend the hotel's breakfast; for over 100 RMB, you just get scrambled eggs, and the taste is questionable.
