Beautiful ship and excellent service. A few issues that I have been communicated to L’amour management already and I am writing this review to help others not have the same experience I did. 1. You must send your passport info to the port authority at least 3 days in advance before you sail. I booked my cruise less than 24 hours before the cruise departed and if bot for our hotel reception knowing who to call, we may have been refused entry to the cruise. Trip.com did NOT flag this for us, nor did L’amour. I happened upon it only because I read the whole booking, which I often don’t. This was my 11th accommodation booking in 3 weeks, so I often don’t read all the fine print. This needs to be highlighted by both the cruise and the online booking platform. 2. There is no office where you check in. The guide with a clipboard and some chairs in an unmarked area. Please confirm with L’amour to know exactly where you are to be dropped off. We showed our hotel reception our booking confirmation and she input our particulars into our Grab ride. Got us to the port, but not the right place. Had to panic call the tour guide on whatsapp to speak with the Grab driver to get instructions. Cost me another 100,000 dong and upset all of us. 3. Bad smell - really bad smell in the hallway and our room. Gave my daughter and I a terrible headache within minutes. Our tour guide offered to move us to another room and their maintenance person offered to spray deodorizer to mask the smell, which we declined. Left the window wide open for a few hours and smell improved. Management promised to investigate and deal with the problem, so going forward, hopefully no more passengers will remark on this problem. L’amour staff and management are great and really committed to customer happiness. They try very hard and the ship is beautiful. One more small point, coffee, tea, juice, water and soft drinks should be free, you pay enough for the cruise, I don’t feel it’s right to charge additional for non alcoholic drinks.

We had a wonderful trip with Capella Cruise from start to finish! Organised pick up and drop off from our hotel in old quarter via email before arriving (easy process) and drivers were great! Got to the port and got welcome drinks, then our cruise manager (Tom ”cruise” manager) gave us our keys and explained everything we needed to know for our stay plus our itinerary for the day on the tender boat as we made our way to the cruise! He was a wonderful manager the whole trip! our room was beautiful with ”corner” views of the bay and our own terrace balcony! we only stayed for one night and we think that's enough - we had buffet lunch after we arrived, and then it was time for water activities (pool, water slide, or kayaking), after relaxing abit it was time to enjoy the sunset with happy hour! the views from the top deck were amazing! we went to the spring roll cooking class before dinner and it was lots of fun! dinner time was set dinner - this was perhaps the only thing we thought could be different - dinner was western style, would have been better if it was Vietnamese cuisine! after dinner there were a number of activities you can do - we tried squid fishing (gave up quickly haha) then a group of us that all just met at the pool went to play poker - that was a lot of fun with the crew ******! next morning was an early start to visit the darken caves, sad we didn't get to see the monkeys, after that it was time for buffet lunch before going back to the port! all the crew were so nice and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay at the cruise! We would recommend just one night stay, second day would have been abit boring with repetitive things to do/eat!

Booked the 2D1N cruise for my husband's birthday, It was worth every penny and the most relaxing part of our stay in Vietnam. The staff surprised him during dinner with a big cake with matching performance and they even made some decor on our table. It was so sweet. We really appreciate the guesture. The room is well-equipped, with bathtub and balcony. The service is top-notch. The food was good as well, especially the dinner. We definitely recommend this cruise. Our 30th wedding anniversary was made truly unforgettable thanks to the incredible team at Hera Grand Luxury Cruise. We originally booked a Studio Room on the Hera Classic, but to our delight, we were upgraded to the Heaven Suite on the Hera Grand. At 60m², this is the highest category room, featuring a massive private terrace and a stunning bathtub. It was pure luxury from start to finish. The Anniversary Surprise The attention to detail was heartwarming. Upon checking into our suite, we were greeted with a free bottle of wine and a bed beautifully decorated with rose petals. It was the perfect romantic touch to kick off our milestone celebration. Fine Dining Excellence One of our favorite aspects was the food. Instead of the standard buffet you find on many cruises, Hera serves fine dining meals. The quality, presentation, and intimate atmosphere of the seated service were far superior and much preferred for a luxury experience. Our Guide: Mr. Winters A huge shout-out to our guide, Mr. Winters! His knowledge of the bay was impressive, but his great sense of humor really made the trip. He kept us laughing and engaged throughout every excursion, making the history and scenery come alive. Excursions & Activities The excursions were expertly planned and high-energy. Whether we were exploring caves or soaking in the views of the karst mountains, the pace was perfect—so perfect, in fact, that time flew by way too fast! We wished we could have stayed on board for another week. Practical Tips: Payment: While drinks are not included in the base price, the ship accepts credit cards, making it very easy to settle your tab at the end of the journey. The Suite: If you have the chance to book (or upgrade to) the Heaven Suite, do it. The terrace views are world-class. It is an older, but authentic and clean ship. The service is of first class and it is the Cruise Manager Dan that is making a lot of effort and is always available.

Although we originally booked the Amanda cruise, we were accommodated on their sister vessel, Le Journey Elegance, due to unforeseen technical issues. Despite the change, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the trip was truly memorable. The crew, led by Tony D, delivered outstanding service and made us feel welcome throughout the journey. Their attention to detail and hospitality ensured that my entire family enjoyed every moment on board. We would highly recommend this company to our friends and family, and wouldn’t hesitate to cruise with them again.

We booked the Junior Suite Sea View with Private Balcony on Doris Cruise by HAG through Trip.com, and it exceeded our expectations! The suite was spacious, beautifully furnished, and the private balcony offered stunning views of Halong Bay — perfect for a romantic getaway. I participated in this three-day, two-night trip alone with my two children. Before the trip, the online service staff informed me that it was suitable for children and assured me that I could enjoy the journey. The communication and transfers from Hanoi to the cruise ship were excellent! We arrived in Hanoi at 07:00, but were exhausted and rested in a cafe. Even though we changed our pick-up location on the same day, the luxurious shuttle bus still safely transported us to the pier. During the trip, I am very grateful to all the staff on the Le Journey Luxury Cruise, especially Mark, who took care of us for three days and two nights, and Owen, who took us to Viet Hai Village on the second day. They were thoughtful and provided us with a sense of adventure while ensuring our complete safety. I loved the Lan Ha Bay itinerary, including cycling through the fields, experiencing the amazing fish foot massage, kayaking freely in Lan Ha Bay to explore caves, and walking on the fine sand of the mysterious white beach. Thank you! The cruise room was spacious, comfortable, and fragrant! We could fully immerse ourselves in the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. The sailing was comfortable, and I loved the cruise route selection, which allowed us to get closer to the beautiful scenery and escape the hustle and bustle. The food on the cruise was also excellent! Whether it was the buffet at lunch, the set menu at dinner, or the set menu at Viet Hai Village, everything was delightful and full of surprises! I highly recommend the Le Journey Luxury Cruise three-day, two-night itinerary for families with children. The activities, such as cycling in Viet Hai Village and the fish massage, made it an unforgettable adventure for the kids!

We had an excellent night aboard the Doria Cruise. The staff were incredibly attentive, always smiling and very considerate, which made the experience truly warm and enjoyable. The boat itself is very well-equipped: the pool is a real bonus, the terrace is spacious for enjoying the view, and the cabin was comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the kayaking activity, which allowed us to explore the bay up close. However, there are a few minor points for improvement: the food is generally good and very generous, even if it's not gourmet cuisine. We also noticed a slight odor in the cabin's bathroom (which we didn't report as it was tolerable). Overall, it's a wonderful experience that I highly recommend for visiting Lan Ha Bay!

I want to warn everyone against booking a cruise with this company. They sell cruises that do not actually exist as advertised. We purchased a 3-day, 2-night cruise and paid extra for a large 54-square-meter cabin on Deck 3. However, after we had already checked in, we were informed that the cruise would last only one night. The next day, we were taken back to the port and transferred to a completely different cruise for another night. As a result, we did not receive the cabin we had paid for. Instead, we were downgraded to a tiny cabin on Deck 1. The promised itinerary was not followed, as we spent time returning to the port and waiting for a new check-in process. We lost valuable vacation time because of this. To make matters worse, the cabin was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Please be very careful when booking with this company. The reality is completely different from what is advertised. The photos and descriptions do not match the experience you will actually get. That being said, I would like to acknowledge that the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the trip, and the food was tasty and enjoyable. Unfortunately, these positive aspects could not make up for the misleading advertising, downgraded accommodation, and disappointing overall experience.
