Hualien Hotels with Gym

First off, the hotel is a bit far from the other parts of Hualien so its best suited for those who are just plannning to stay around the hotel or the ”Ocean Park” nearby, although this is mitigated by the shuttle they offer to the train station and back. But for my purposes that was fine. The hotel is quite large and has many facilities, including both outdoor and indoor pool (outdoor pool closed during winter seasons). Views are quite nince and more than justify the cost. Advised perhaps to go in the summer when the outdoro pool is open and there are less cloudsl, though undoubtedily will be more epxennnnsive. But on a sunny day I imagine it would be hard to beat the value offered by this place I believe, especialyl if you are content to just gaze at the ocean rather than go to places like Taroko gorge.

The hotel offers pick-up and drop-off services to the train station. Laundry and drying cost 110 NTD, and the front desk provides change. The hotel staff are very patient. It's about 3-4 kilometers from the city center, and a taxi ride costs 170 NTD. The location is quite convenient. Within a 15-minute walk, there are convenience stores and seafood restaurants. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel. The hotel's pool is beautiful, though the gym is a bit basic. Next to the gym, there are many recreational facilities. The view from the hotel room is fantastic.

What they do well: 1. The hotel service is excellent; there's an usher as soon as you enter the lobby. 2. The public areas are clean and well-maintained. Areas for improvement: 1. Soundproofing: I could hear snoring from the adjacent room. 2. Tip prompt card on the bedside table: The staff didn't do anything beyond their standard duties, so why should I be prompted to tip proactively? 3. The sauna facilities are dirty and old. The shower area, with six spots, felt full with just three people.

Island Tour (Hualien), stay in a deluxe sea view double room, 4 rooms on the first floor, the room is very large, the balcony looks out to Hualien Port, you can see the sea and the ship loading and unloading goods and entering and exiting the port, it is great, the service staff are also very good Great, friendly to road bikes. There is a dedicated area and gym for road bikes on the second floor. The breakfast is okay. The small drawback is that the partition wall of the bathing area in the room is small, and water easily splashes into the sleeping area. The water dispenser uses a large bucket of spring water to heat and drink ( Not good for babies and children), I hope filtered drinking water can be improved and the opportunity will be better.

Advantages⭕️: 1. I made a special note when booking that I was very sensitive to noise. Thankfully, the hotel was very considerate; because there were group tourists on the day of our booking, they upgraded both of our rooms to villas. Although we needed a shuttle bus to get in and out due to heavy rain, the wait was very quick, and the staff dried the wet chairs each time we boarded – very thoughtful! 2. Suitable for all ages!! The facilities are excellent. Kids can play on the indoor slides and the floating river for a whole afternoon. Seniors can relax in the outdoor hot spring area and nude bath. You can even stay and play after checking out – great value! The restrooms are very clean, and there are rest areas throughout the grounds! 3. Highly qualified staff! Everyone proactively offers assistance. The lifeguards on the indoor slides are very responsible and always attentive to safety. There's also a lucky draw in the evening – the kids were thrilled to win prizes!! The hotel also has a market with token-based payment options, allowing children to experience various activities. Even though the rain prevented them from using the outdoor facilities, they still had a blast! Disadvantages ❌: 1. There were an overwhelming number of flies that day!! We killed five in our room that night, and the next day they were everywhere in the entire resort and restaurants… This was likely due to fertilizer use by nearby farmers!

It turned out that the reservation was one berth and two meals and there was a free train station pick-up. After checking in, I found that there was afternoon tea with boiled wild vegetables and buffet instant noodles and tea eggs. The food was very rich and healthy. The dinner buffet had Haagen-Dazs ice cream and beer and other drinks. Snacks and drinks in the room are also free. The Butterfly Valley has the main trail, the roundabout trail and the roundabout trail. It takes about three hours to walk all of them. Most of them are not difficult to walk.
