GGuest UserMy first impression was how incredibly warm and attentive the service was. Every question I had was met with a satisfactory answer, and they even proactively helped me with directions for dining out and cycling routes around the island. Since we had two bikes, the staff thoughtfully asked if we needed to switch to a larger, more suitable room. Their service attitude truly deserves high praise.
The room was also perfect, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my 11-day island-wide trip in Taiwan.

Otis Inn is a beautiful little hotel with lovely, huge rooms. It has been maintained so well that I thought it was a brand new hotel. We absolutely loved our stay there. The location is fantastic, too - within walking distance of Dongdamen night market and many other eateries. Though there isn't anyone manning the hotel at night, when we had a problem with our door lock, the person on duty came over within 10 minutes to repair it. Do take note that you will need to make arrangements to check in as the front desk isn't manned all the time. Highly recommended!

I happened to encounter a foreigner speaking English during breakfast and wanted to order omelettes, but it was a pity that no one on the staff understood him.
The design of the bathroom equipment in the 9F hotel is full of creativity. There is no door in the shower room, and the shower head discharges water from the high ceiling. These two designs make it easier for people to feel cold when taking a shower.
The balcony facing the harbor view is nice.

EEmre_BasogluIf you are looking for an ocean front get away, away from the city and the crowds this is your place. In winter, due to strong winds, the waves offer a magnificent show, beating the shores nonstop. Right in front of the hotel is the bikeway and the nearest bike rental is approximately 50 meters away. There is also a Family Mart within the same distance towards the temple. The hotel provides a set breakfast which changes everyday, but it’s well presented and tastes great!
Although the reception was helpful to arrange a taxi for us everyday, we hoped there would be a round way shuttle to downtown, even if it’s once a day! It would absolutely enhance to guests experience, especially considering the location slightly outside the city center.

AA.kitGreat experiance at The moment by lakeshore! The kids were thrilled by the bunk beds with curtains and privet hangers and lights 😅
It's a complex of buildings by lakeshore, we had a room with amazing mountains and gardens view.
The auto check in station was simple to understand and operate, and suitable for us, since we arrived quite late.
The room design is very cool, everything worked, good water pressure. The shower is separated from the toilet, so it's comfy for friends staying together. For us as a family it didn't matter.
Everything in the minibar was included in the room price, and I tried the cold brew teas, they were excellent!
The breakfast was served in the hotel building next to our hotel, from the same owner. Great buffet, large variety and even marked for allergies!
The hotel has a parking area close by, and it's about 10 minutes drive to Taroko visitors center.
All in all, I recommend this hotel for short stays, if you are with 3 or 4 kids take the bunk beds room for 6, we really enjoyed it.

JJeff KellOne of the best parts of staying at Charming City Hotel Hualien was the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from check-in to check-out. They went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we had a great stay. The hotel itself was comfortable and in a convenient location, but the friendly service is what really made the experience memorable.

HHAO YUStayed two days in a quad room.
This was my third stay.
The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. If there's no parking available, they'll even move their company car and let you park.
It's across the street from 7-Eleven, and there's also a TP-Link nearby. Zhongmei Street has many delicious restaurants, so it's quite convenient.
If I had to find a negative, it would be:
The rooftop pool is quite small. Even with four people in it, it's usually full. It's too hot during the day and only open until around 9 PM.
The breakfast on the first floor has a good selection of special dishes, but for some reason the air conditioning isn't cooling enough, so the food is a bit warm.
Overall, it's quite good.

GGr3gBI stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!

Gentle reminder to bring own bath towels as these are not provided by the hotel.

Ssl30neThis was a 1 night stay. We arrived around 9pm. The street parking was completely full. The staff said after 10pm the car parking lots should be free. But it remained occupied. We were directed to another car park named PP. Said to be complimentary. However, we ended up paying NTD 460 upon check out.
There is not lift at the building. You have to carry up your own luggage. Water dispenser is available at ground floor. The building is quite old and needs renovation. The carpet and windows were dirty. Broken sockets. Stained pillow cases. The good thing is that they provide a one time use towel.
Breakfast was minimal. Porridge, 4 simple condiments, meat bun and bread. No eggs. We came down at 8am and there was close to none except for buns.
