Inns in Hualien

Excellent! Thank you to all the staff who made us feel so welcome. Otis Inn is a beautiful little hotel with lovely, huge rooms. It has been maintained so well that I thought it was a brand new hotel. We absolutely loved our stay there. The location is fantastic, too - within walking distance of Dongdamen night market and many other eateries. Though there isn't anyone manning the hotel at night, when we had a problem with our door lock, the person on duty came over within 10 minutes to repair it. Do take note that you will need to make arrangements to check in as the front desk isn't manned all the time. Highly recommended!

My first impression was how incredibly warm and attentive the service was. Every question I had was met with a satisfactory answer, and they even proactively helped me with directions for dining out and cycling routes around the island. Since we had two bikes, the staff thoughtfully asked if we needed to switch to a larger, more suitable room. Their service attitude truly deserves high praise. The room was also perfect, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my 11-day island-wide trip in Taiwan.

The hotel is new, but the food items provided for breakfast are relatively few. I happened to encounter a foreigner speaking English during breakfast and wanted to order omelettes, but it was a pity that no one on the staff understood him. The design of the bathroom equipment in the 9F hotel is full of creativity. There is no door in the shower room, and the shower head discharges water from the high ceiling. These two designs make it easier for people to feel cold when taking a shower. The balcony facing the harbor view is nice.

Great experiance at The moment by lakeshore! The kids were thrilled by the bunk beds with curtains and privet hangers and lights 😅 It's a complex of buildings by lakeshore, we had a room with amazing mountains and gardens view. The auto check in station was simple to understand and operate, and suitable for us, since we arrived quite late. The room design is very cool, everything worked, good water pressure. The shower is separated from the toilet, so it's comfy for friends staying together. For us as a family it didn't matter. Everything in the minibar was included in the room price, and I tried the cold brew teas, they were excellent! The breakfast was served in the hotel building next to our hotel, from the same owner. Great buffet, large variety and even marked for allergies! The hotel has a parking area close by, and it's about 10 minutes drive to Taroko visitors center. All in all, I recommend this hotel for short stays, if you are with 3 or 4 kids take the bunk beds room for 6, we really enjoyed it.

I had a wonderful stay at Charming Hualien Hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The location was also very convenient for exploring the city. A lovely hotel that made the trip even more enjoyable.🤗

If you are looking for an ocean front get away, away from the city and the crowds this is your place. In winter, due to strong winds, the waves offer a magnificent show, beating the shores nonstop. Right in front of the hotel is the bikeway and the nearest bike rental is approximately 50 meters away. There is also a Family Mart within the same distance towards the temple. The hotel provides a set breakfast which changes everyday, but it’s well presented and tastes great! Although the reception was helpful to arrange a taxi for us everyday, we hoped there would be a round way shuttle to downtown, even if it’s once a day! It would absolutely enhance to guests experience, especially considering the location slightly outside the city center.

Stayed two days in a quad room. This was my third stay. The room was very clean, and the front desk staff was very friendly. If there's no parking available, they'll even move their company car and let you park. It's across the street from 7-Eleven, and there's also a TP-Link nearby. Zhongmei Street has many delicious restaurants, so it's quite convenient. If I had to find a negative, it would be: The rooftop pool is quite small. Even with four people in it, it's usually full. It's too hot during the day and only open until around 9 PM. The breakfast on the first floor has a good selection of special dishes, but for some reason the air conditioning isn't cooling enough, so the food is a bit warm. Overall, it's quite good.

I stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!

A nice boutique hotel -- locations not bad with a mall across the street, and Family Mart + 7-11 at the other side of the junction. Gentle reminder to bring own bath towels as these are not provided by the hotel. View from the room is not too bad :)

It's very close to the night market. You can also have breakfast. The room and toilet are large and very comfortable.
