Addis Ababa Hotels with Gym

We stayed in the DoubleTree Hilton Addis Ababa as part of a two-day layover. A hotel shuttle bus transferred us from the airport, which took around five minutes, so very convenient. (We were expecting a hotel rep to greet us at the arrivals hall, but you need to exit the airport, go to the car park and find the bus.) The hotel is in a brightly-lit location; it's nice, clean and modern. The service is excellent: we received a warm reception and checked in swiftly - important if you're arriving late at night. The service at breakfast and elsewhere was equally excellent. Thank you! Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed but we ordered room service, which was OK. The room facilities are very good: comfy bed/pillows and a good selection of amenities. The biggest issue is the shower: there was no hot water, so we had to ring for help. Someone came quickly, but it wasn't ideal especially as it was very late. The same thing happened throughout the rest of the stay. Also, the water from the shower overflowed onto the floor and, unless stopped with a towel, continued through into the room. Given that this is a 4/5-star hotel, this isn't acceptable. If the DoubleTree could resolve this, it would be the hotel of choice.

Full marks, new room facilities, friendly service. Good breakfast. Good location. Disadvantages: The door card broke twice, the hotel's meals were too expensive, the premium was too high. The catering cost performance was not good.

The hotel facilities and environment are pretty good in Ethiopia. I stayed in a twin room with my colleagues from the company. It felt similar to the 200-yuan express hotel in China. Laundry was very cheap. The front desk and cleaning staff were quite enthusiastic. The breakfast was also good. The security staff were also very enthusiastic. But you could hear the barking of the dog in the bungalow next door at night. Haha. There is free airport pick-up and drop-off service. Overall, I can give it 80 points

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Executive Apartments. The staff were professional and welcoming, the room very comfortable and the breakfast spread was really good with lots of choice.  The location is good, easy to get to from the airport using the Ride app and then centrally located for sightseeing. We didn't use the kitchen in our room, but it seemed to have everything in it. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom (particularly the shower) were dated and could use an upgrade but it didn't bother us. Overall a great choice for Addis visits.

I expected a lot from the hotel, but I can’t say that I liked it. The windows of the rooms either overlooked a noisy generator or a noisy road. The rooms are good, a good bed and amenities. Good level of service, all the staff are very polite. Upon arrival, they put a plate of fruit. We didn’t really like the breakfasts - in fact, we only ate an omelet and fruit, everything else was not to our liking. I went to the spa. The water in the pool is cool, the pool is outside, although it is always cool in Addis Ababa. The pool is a good size and will suit those who like to swim. I went to the spa. Good sauna and hammam. I signed up for a back massage. In the end, they gave me an expensive full body massage. I asked for a strong one - it was good. But why they left a bump on the back of my head is unclear. I felt pain and it was too late to tell them to stop - it hurt for 2 days afterwards. I think that in terms of price-quality ratio, this is a good hotel for Addis Ababa. Chain hotels here are overrated, unfortunately.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and always smiling. They helped me find a trustworthy taxi, which I really appreciated. The room was cleaned every day, and the sheets were changed regularly. The location is very convenient, close to the airport and other places around the city. I was also picked up from the airport, which made my arrival very easy. The hotel is quiet and not crowded, and the price is very good compared to other hotels. I would definitely love to stay here again on my next visit. The wifi is ok but could be better

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a good experience. The service was consistently friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home when I arrived. One of the best features is its convenient location near various Western restaurants, making dining out easy. Additionally, the hotel offers a free bus service to the airport, which is a significant plus. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The large eating area was another highlight, offering a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The menu options were diverse, catering to various tastes.

The front desk and cleaners here were so nice. Very pleasant every single day! Plus the room was super clean and well organized for a weeks stay for me 😁

Excellent budget hotel very near the airport. Free shuttle service to and fro from airport. Please whatsapp them for shuttle service. 24 hour restaurant with a fairly extensive Ethiopian and Western menu. Good breakfast. No complains about the room or bed.

Some staff were good and front desk manager during the day but it's poor over the phone in the night and restaurant waitress. Couple of days we asked staff simple stuff, like butter and we was told, there's no butter and almost everyday breakfast it was the same except on Saturday, they provided samusas. There breakfast is very heavy 😕 😫.. rice, anjera eithopian pancake with mixed with eithopian spice sauce, different bread, mixed cooked vegetable, cooked cabbage, cupcakes, cakes and arabian beans and cold porridge make with water and one choice of cereal. The room is big but the cleaning is not good and we found cockrach but we already informed the front desk manager. Overall poor service, poor quality of food and poor cleaning.
