The gentle and serene butler ladies arranged everything I requested in advance. I even got a free upgrade from a king-size bed to a suite, and the amenities were high-end and elegant (for example, the coffee cups were Dior). Compared to other hotels I've stayed at in the same price range, this one definitely stands out with its unique character. Plus, breakfast is a set menu; while it lacks an overwhelming variety, the wontons, green bean and pork pancakes, and noodle soup made by the local auntie were truly delicious. The only minor drawback is that dinner has no menu, and the fixed dishes are more Western-style rather than local specialties. On my first night, I provided the ideas, and the kitchen then prepared and cooked the dishes. I hope there will be some changes next time I visit, haha.

Stayed for two nights! Because the health requirements of bringing children ✅ are very high, the boss is very young and super good, knowing that we brought the baby and upgraded the room type for us! Arrived late at night, I called to confirm that I also reserved a charging parking space for us, and the room was big! Very friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay.

The transportation around the homestay is very convenient. It takes 5 minutes to go to the Yuanmingyuan, and it takes about 10 minutes to go to the major scenic spots of Hengdian. It is very suitable for avoiding the world and relaxing. The public facilities are complete, chess and card room, KTV, swimming pool, tea room, fishing, everything is worth the price!

However, the efficiency of the service needs to be improved when dealing with some sudden conditions. For example, there was a temporary problem with the hot water supply. Although it was finally solved, it took a long time. In terms of dining, the breakfast provided by the hotel has local characteristics. Freshly baked snacks, home-made side dishes, etc. can let guests taste the local flavor. However, the variety of breakfast is relatively limited, and it will be more satisfying if you can add some diversified choices. The location of Xingshu B&B has certain advantages. It is close to some local attractions and can be reached on foot or by short transportation. This is very convenient for tourists and can save a lot of time on the road. In general, Xingshu B&B has its own unique charm, whether it is a unique architectural style, a beautiful courtyard or a warm service attitude, it has left a good impression. But at the same time, it also has some areas that need to be improved, such as room details, public area hygiene, service efficiency and catering types. The room is new at first glance. The cleaning is very clean. The layout is simple and generous, there is a sense of relaxation at home, the sheets and quilts are changed for each guest, the room has no smell, toothbrushes, disposable face towels, hair dryers, air conditioners and other things are all complete, and there is an elevator. You can see the green mountains from the window. I am in a good mood. I also provided some small snacks. We came back from the Ming and Qing Palace Gardens. We were too tired and too lazy to drive. The landlord also took the initiative to borrow our electric car to eat. Because of the itinerary, I stayed for three days. I have the opportunity to come to Hengdian in the future.
