"The hotel does not match the photos. The interior looks quite worn and outdated, and it is unclear when it was last renovated. Overall, the place feels rather old. The only real advantage was the view from the window. However, the balcony is not comfortable for relaxing. The elevators are also old and somewhat strange. It gets very hot inside. The air conditioning only works when you are in the room, so every time you return it is very stuffy and uncomfortable. There is no privacy at all: the toilet and shower are not properly separated and are completely transparent. One small positive point is that it was possible to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out. The location has its drawbacks. The street is very busy, and calling a taxi can take time, plus it is not very convenient for pick-up. The only convenience is that in the evening you can easily walk to the night market, which starts right next to the hotel in the same area. If you came specifically for the market, it may be suitable. Otherwise, most other places are quite far away."

"Free pick-up from the airport or station for 2 consecutive nights (make a reservation one day in advance): After staying here for half a month, I almost couldn’t bear to leave. The balcony has a view of the Lancang River, which is very spectacular and beautiful. Washing machine and refrigerator are all available. I will stay here again in the future when I come to Xishuangbanna."

"Gaozhuang truly transforms from day to night; its real charm only emerges in the evening! The melodious hulusi, the graceful Fannuo dance, the endless neon lights, the exotic Dai electronic music, and the bustling Ganbai Street. Since I'm not a fan of guesthouses, I always choose the Mekong Jinglan Hotel for my stays. I visited Gaozhuang two years ago and also stayed at Jinglan. The facilities, location, views, and service were all top-notch. So, for this trip to Gaozhuang, Jinglan was again my top choice! The room interiors, bed frames, and even the exterior walls are all well-maintained, indicating that the hotel is well-managed and invests in its upkeep, creating a positive cycle. This time, I'm staying in Gaozhuang for 4 days. I initially booked a two-day River View Executive Twin Room. At check-in, the lovely Miss Xiaoju at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped arrange a high-floor room as requested. When I learned about the in-house suites on higher floors (fewer than 5 available, with better views, and not sold on platforms), Xiaoju proactively offered a key card for me to view them. After some discussion, Xiaoju offered a very favorable price within her authority. Consequently, I decided to book the in-house suite for another two days. A huge thank you to Xiaoju for her help! My vacation wasn't long enough this time to stay for the Dai New Year Water Splashing Festival. I'll definitely come back when I have more time to experience the three-day carnival!"

"I chose the Pinnacle Hotel because I was heading to Laos, and it's only a 10-minute drive from the train station. The room was super clean and tidy, and I loved the smart features. Before I left, I stored my extra luggage at the front desk. When I came back to Xishuangbanna, I stayed there again for another night, and they even upgraded us to a suite! I absolutely loved it. I've already reviewed all the details. The front desk staff and the guys who did the airport/station transfers were all really enthusiastic. Thank you!"

"Congratulations! If you are reading this review, then you have found the best villa in the Jinghong area. At first I planned to stay in Jinghong for a couple of days, but after a couple of hours at this villa, I realized that this is the place where I want to stay longer. That's why I extended my reservation for another 5 days. It helped to feel the atmosphere completely. Beauty consists of little things. And this beauty is so natural. The hotel staff is worthy of the highest praise. I felt like a welcome guest every minute of my stay. They were extremely kind and treated me to tea, which I enjoyed in the courtyard. Despite the proximity to the night market, the noise will not interfere with your vacation. In general, the location of the villa is just perfect. Everything you need is literally within walking distance. A hundred meters from the hotel there is an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a thoughtful interior. Therefore, feel free to book a room and feel true hospitality❤️"

"The hotel isn't on the main street. Let's start with the positives: the room is large, it offers great value for money, the facilities are quite good, and the staff are friendly. The front desk is also very responsive via WeChat. On the downside: breakfast is very mediocre, and if you go 40 minutes before closing, there's hardly anything left and they don't replenish it. Projecting onto the screen is too complicated. Also, I asked for clothes hangers for three days but never received them. These are all areas that could be improved, and if they were, the hotel would be even better. Because the price is very fair, I'm still giving it a 5-star rating, and the cons won't deduct from that."

"The facilities are excellent! The whole room is equipped with smart controls, so you can just ask 'Xiao Du' (the smart assistant) for help directly. Plus, there's a large bathtub, which is a great touch! Location-wise, it's really good. It's very close to the Starlight Night Market and not too far from other attractions. There are restaurants, fruit shops, massage parlors, and travel photography studios nearby, which is super convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Great Pagoda and the Starlight Night Market. As for perks, the package included complimentary airport transfers, with a dedicated driver picking us up. The driver was very enthusiastic, making for a great experience. The front desk service was also excellent; they were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions thoroughly. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and it offers great value for money!"

"Our experience at this hotel was terrible from the moment we checked in. We used to stay here every time we visited Xishuangbanna. We drove here, so we had a lot of luggage. When I asked the front desk if they had a luggage cart, the receptionist told me to carry everything myself. When I went over, I saw the cart was full of miscellaneous items. The receptionist then told me to clear the items off myself. Not only did I have to move all the stuff that shouldn't have been on the luggage cart, but I also had to carry my own bags while the front desk staff just stood there and watched, not even offering to help. I could let that slide. We were originally planning to extend our stay; I had already told them yesterday that we'd like to stay in the same room. Check-out time was 2 PM, but at 1:32 PM, they called to tell us to check out. I immediately decided to check out and move to another hotel. They clearly knew we had a lot of luggage, yet at just past 2 PM, they sent someone up to rush us. Even as I left the hotel, carrying my bags to the parking lot, the front desk staff just stood there, completely indifferent (and there wasn't just one person, nor were they busy; there wasn't even anyone checking in). This kind of experience truly shows the hotel's unprofessional management and poor front desk service. I had already calmed down yesterday, thinking that perhaps the person was alone at the front desk, so I could understand. But today, with several people standing there doing nothing, it's completely incomprehensible what this front desk is even doing. You might as well just get rid of the front desk altogether, it's utterly useless. Don't they provide training before people start working? I've traveled and stayed in so many hotels both domestically and internationally, and this is the first hotel in all these years that has made me write a negative review. It's truly one of a kind. I will never stay here again when I come to Xishuangbanna. If they don't improve their management, no one will dare to come anymore. It's genuinely infuriating."

The infinity pool is fantastic for photos, and the hotel is quiet and private. They also offer shuttle service to and from Gaozhuang, making getting around convenient. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and both the breakfast and afternoon tea were high quality. It offers excellent value for money and is a must-stay when visiting Banna!"
