Our twin double bed room was very spacious and sparkling clean. Breakfast spread was abundant and decent.
It’s a bit of a distance from the ancient town, but getting a Didi ride was quick, easy, and inexpensive. There’s also a small mall nearby with a supermarket and a few restaurants, which is convenient.
Complimentary Chaozhou local porridge offered for supper after 9:30pm upon request.
Overall, great value for money."

"The room was clean and tidy, and the 1.8-meter king-size bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. The overall decor was simple yet cozy, and the bathroom was fully equipped with disposable toiletries, which felt very hygienic. The location was convenient for getting around, and the owner's service was warm and attentive, responding promptly to any issues. The room was clean and tidy, and they provided disposable towels, bath towels, and other amenities, so hygiene was definitely assured.

"As always, Orange Hotel is clean and the service is great. The location is quite convenient; I walked to several attractions from here. The only downside is that it's near several schools, so I was woken up by the morning announcements. We brought our own food and heated it up to eat in the lobby. There are also a few good restaurants nearby."

"My stay here was fantastic. The hotel facilities are comprehensive and spotless, and the room layout is well-designed (just be mindful of the step-down area). The smart home features made for a very comfortable stay. The staff's service attitude was exceptional; check-in was quick and efficient, and they were always prompt and helpful with any requests, paying great attention to detail. I highly recommend this place. Plus, there's complimentary coffee and tea available at the front desk!"

AAnonymous User1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square
2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night
3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs
4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you
5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic
6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel
7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward .
Will definitely stay there again when in chaozhou

GGuest UserI stumbled upon a real gem of a guesthouse! It's located in You Alley, one of the ten famous alleys in Chaozhou Ancient City. This is an old mansion guesthouse with a traditional courtyard layout, giving it a charming, antique elegance. The open-air courtyard is very unique, and the living room is spacious. The location is absolutely perfect – quiet yet centrally located. The rooms are incredibly clean, and they provide disposable towels and amenities, which is a really thoughtful touch. The owner is exceptionally friendly and hospitable, often inviting guests for tea and a chat. The service is attentive, and they go above and beyond to help with anything you need. They even kindly offered recommendations for local snacks, attractions, and sightseeing tips. I truly feel like I found a treasure! Highly recommended; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chaozhou.

GGuest UserThis courtyard-style hotel really captures the essence of traditional local dwellings, truly befitting a grand family estate. It's located right within the ancient city scenic area, making it incredibly convenient to visit attractions like Guangji Bridge and Kaiyuan Temple – just a few hundred meters' walk away. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, and the environment is clean and hygienic. Our butler, a lovely young lady, provided attentive service and even offered tips for sightseeing and local food, which was a big plus! 👍
The only minor drawback is that since the hotel is inside the scenic area, traffic control means cars can't drive directly to the hotel. We had to park at the nearby helicopter base parking lot and walk a few hundred meters. But honestly, strolling through the ancient city's alleys on the way was quite enjoyable. I particularly loved having a private courtyard; it felt like our own little sanctuary, and the kids could play without disturbing anyone. A pleasant surprise was receiving a souvenir gift upon check-out! ❤️ Highly recommended! 👈👍

GGuest UserArrived at the hotel at 3 AM and the front desk guy was asleep. Initially, there were no rooms available, but both the platform and the staff member helped us sort out the accommodation. We even got a free upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! For the next two days, Ms. Orange was at the front desk, and she was super sweet and had a great attitude. The guesthouse's location is absolutely fantastic, right by Paifang Street, and you can see Hanjiang Guangji Bridge from the fourth floor. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit! Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe hotel upgraded us to a deluxe mountain view room, and the two 1.35m single beds were very comfortable. The memory foam pillows provided were also of good quality. This really must be the most upscale hotel in the Chaozhou area.
Environment: The hotel is right by the river downstairs, and you can walk to the Thai Temple and Han Wen Gong Ancestral Temple.
Cleanliness: We noticed some hair in the room that hadn't been cleaned up, and the bathroom floor needs more attention. Also, there was an occasional drain odor on our floor. As a benchmark hotel in Chaozhou, the cleanliness still needs improvement.
Breakfast: The hotel breakfast was quite extensive, with many freshly made local specialties, and the Western selection was also high quality.

It's in a quiet spot despite being in a bustling area, not directly on the main road. There are lots of great local eateries nearby; the hotel's recommendations for food stalls were especially reliable and delicious! It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to the scenic spots, and ride-sharing services are readily available.
It's a standalone property with convenient parking! The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the room size is good. The breakfast is rich and high-quality, especially the kway teow noodles! 😘

Mmaie83The hotel is in a great location, right next to Kaiyuan Temple. Since Chaozhou Old Town has traffic restrictions, the drop-off point is also right by the hotel, just an 80-meter walk away. The hotel is on the fourth floor. The front desk staff were excellent and upgraded our room. It came with a bathtub and disposable tub liners, which the kids loved for their bath and playtime! The toilet was a smart one that opened automatically. When we left, a family member forgot their charger, and the hotel contacted us and even helped mail it back via SF Express, with shipping paid upon delivery. The only downside was the breakfast; it was quite basic, and the dining area was tiny, with only three tables. One auntie was serving, and she was clearly overwhelmed. Overall, it was still a good stay!

Cleanliness: Spotless! I even told the cleaning staff it was clean enough, but she clearly has incredibly high standards for herself.
Ambiance: Very pleasant, a quiet oasis tucked away in a bustling neighborhood.
Service: I was quite annoyed with the room key issue. We were staying for consecutive nights, and after a tiring evening exploring the night market, we returned to our room on the sixth floor only to find the key card wasn't working. I sent my child to the front desk to get it reactivated. She came back saying it was fixed, but it still didn't work. I then had to go down *with* my child myself to the front desk to ensure it was properly reactivated before making another trek back up. It was genuinely exhausting.
Suggestion: It's quite inconvenient to have to reactivate the room key at the front desk when extending a stay. Most hotels allow guests to simply continue using their existing key without this extra step. I hope this process can be improved, especially given how busy the elevators already are.

MMichael Goh79The host was really friendly and helpful. She saw that we were going to stay there for 4 nights and took the initiative to upgrade us to a larger room with one more extra bed and closer to the laundry facility. That was a pleasant surprise when we checked in. Straight after checking in, she made some Chinese tea where we sat and she briefed us on the places to visit. Gave us her WeChat which we can contact her anytime if we needed any help.
Everything was great and the kids loved it so much. They have electric bikes where you can rent and it was awesome. We rented the bikes and rode all over the old quarters (highly recommended). I did not check the price of others but my wife told me the rates that they charge are cheaper than the E-bike rental shop at Xima Road. They sold Chinese tea as well which turned out to be pretty competitive as far as pricing is concerned. You'd pay alot more if you purchased tea at the pedestrian shopping strip (Ancient City) nearby.
Location was fantastic! Near to the entrance of Xima Road where you could either turn left and walk towards the Ancient city or right where you can walk to Xinqiao Road (many boutique shops there). There are a tonne of food stalls and restaurants there all within short walking distance and a 24hr minimart nearby.
Note that this is a homestay where everything is more relaxed and informal so don't expect hotel type of house keeping. Amenities and mineral water are placed at the foyer and you can grab as much as you need. They use disposable towels which may take getting used to if you haven't used one but the up side is that hygiene is guaranteed, and I'm happy with that.
Overall, it was a great experience staying there and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip.
