Our twin double bed room was very spacious and sparkling clean. Breakfast spread was abundant and decent.
It’s a bit of a distance from the ancient town, but getting a Didi ride was quick, easy, and inexpensive. There’s also a small mall nearby with a supermarket and a few restaurants, which is convenient.
Complimentary Chaozhou local porridge offered for supper after 9:30pm upon request.
Overall, great value for money."

We had a fantastic stay at Crowne Plaza Chaozhou Riverside and honestly wished we could have stayed longer.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Check-in was smooth, questions were answered quickly, and throughout our stay the service remained warm and attentive without ever feeling forced. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes a hotel memorable.
Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after long days exploring Chaozhou, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We also appreciated the thoughtful details throughout the room, including complimentary soft drinks in the minibar, bottled water, bathrobes, quality tea and coffee facilities, and plenty of storage space.
The river view was another highlight. Waking up and looking out over the Han River and the city skyline was a wonderful way to start the day. The room felt peaceful, quiet, and very comfortable.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Everything felt well maintained and cared for, from the guest room to the common areas.
What impressed us most was how the staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable. Great facilities are important, but outstanding service is what truly sets a hotel apart, and this team delivered exactly that.

"This hotel was fantastic!
Firstly, the location was excellent.
Secondly, the service was superb – we were pleasantly surprised when a staff member immediately came to help us with our luggage as soon as we entered.
Thirdly, the decor was exquisite and had a wonderful exotic feel.
Fourthly, the rooms were equipped with plenty of smart devices.
Fifthly, before breakfast, I mentioned we had a child with us, and the staff thoughtfully arranged for the kitchen to increase our portion sizes, which was incredibly considerate!
Additionally, the hotel offered complimentary vouchers for a Kung Fu tea experience at 'Gegnianchun,' a tea house also owned by the hotel boss. We were served by a tall, handsome, and incredibly professional young man who was an absolute delight. He patiently and thoroughly explained everything, even though we didn't end up buying anything, and he maintained a warm and welcoming demeanor throughout. We were truly touched by his service!"

There are also many local specialty eateries nearby. The bedding and hygiene were acceptable, but the air conditioning was a bit noisy at night, and the duvet felt a little damp. I recommend bringing your own disposable slippers as there are shared slippers in the room's bathroom."

"This B&B is perfectly located right inside Paifang Street, so you can step out and start exploring and eating right away, without worrying about the time when you're out late. The interior and rooms are very unique and perfect for photoshoots, especially if you bring traditional clothing like a cheongsam. The staff were super enthusiastic and even provided props like a round fan and pipa to help with the photos. Since it's built on the foundations of an old private school, it still retains many of the original features. There's no elevator, but the staff are helpful and will carry your luggage up and down, or even escort you to the alley entrance. They also give a heads-up that only Didi taxis are allowed into the ancient city."

"The hotel is new with great facilities. The room comes with a mini-fridge, and the gym and laundry machines (washer and dryer) are all fully equipped. "The past few days in Chaozhou have been scorching, with temperatures at 36°C and a 'feels like' temperature of 43°C – absolutely sweltering! The hotel thoughtfully provided an extra power card, so every time I returned drenched in sweat from exploring, the best part was being greeted by a blast of cold air and a chilled bottled water from the mini-fridge – pure bliss! The reception area also had a fridge stocked with plenty of complimentary bottled water, which was a very nice touch. Inside the room, there were some local Chaoshan snacks, which were quite tasty. When I inquired where to buy them, the hotel even had an auntie bring us more to sample – I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is only about 100 meters from Kaiyuan Temple, making it incredibly convenient to walk to attractions like the Ancient City, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road. I even walked to Guangji Bridge three times in one day and didn't feel tired. There are also plenty of food options and souvenir shops nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the pillows were very comfortable. The lovely ladies at reception and the cleaning aunties were all very warm and provided excellent service. Because the heat was so unbearable, I decided last minute to have lunch at the snack shop right next door. I ordered Chaozhou braised platter rice and pig offal kway teow, and to my surprise, they were incredibly delicious – tasting just like traditional home-cooked Chaozhou food. The pig offal kway teow had a light flavor, and for only 15 yuan, it was packed with ingredients; adding black vinegar elevated the taste even further. This hotel is definitely worth recommending!"

"I am a fan of Orange & Atour hotel chains ; but this particular Orange hotel has disappointed me in terms of living conditions. My first room has moist & mouldy smells ; we asked for a second which was not much better. We eventually get into another room which was acceptable but the room smell persisted. However , turning on the air conditioning eventually helps to reduce the room’s moistness .
Breakfast was average, coffee machine disposed excessive milk whenever you select “ coffee with milk” selection.
On the plus side, the hotel offered big laundry room with 5 sets of washers and dryers for your needs, with ironing board and steaming tools. At Breakfast time, you can pre-order customized soup with noddles with choice of veggies . Room TV screen is bigger than my home offering multiple choices of movies & tv series , some episodes may charge a small fee for viewing . Bath room and toilet was functional & reasonably sized. Room has multiple charging outlets included usb, usb-c, US & local plug outlets which were user friendly . My room was beside a side alley hence the noise level
was minimal . Staffs at reception were helpful and friendly . Robots helped in service distribution too."

AAnonymous User1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square
2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night
3) there’s a lift and a laundry area downstairs
4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you
5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic
6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel
7) hope the hotel maintains their cleanliness & newness moving forward .

Ambiance: The decor was lovely and cozy. There was some street noise from cars at night, but they thoughtfully provided two pairs of earplugs. We're good sleepers so we didn't need them, but it's great for those who aren't – the host really thought of everything.
Facilities: The facilities were comprehensive, with both a bathtub and a shower. In addition to earplugs, they also provided sanitary pads, hair clips, hair ties, disposable toilet seat covers, and bathtub liners, so no need to worry about hygiene. These small details really show how much the host cares.
Service: The front desk service was excellent. If we had any questions, we just messaged them on WeChat, and they provided very detailed answers. When we arrived, they helped with our luggage and gave us a guide to local food and attractions. We wanted authentic Chaoshan beef hotpot, and they recommended Pan Ji Beef, which was indeed very authentic. On our first day, it rained heavily, and they even messaged us proactively to be careful.
Location: It's a five or six-minute walk to Han Wen Gong Temple, and Guangji Bridge is directly opposite the temple. We specifically chose a place close to Guangji Bridge to easily watch the light show at night. During the day, you can walk from Guangji Bridge into the ancient city. It's better value than staying inside the ancient city. When we checked out, the host even gave us a small gift box of Chaozhou San Bao. Overall, we were very satisfied; it was a pleasant two days.

SSDM666Chaozhou Meixiangju, a traditional Beijing courtyard house – this four-courtyard complex, spanning an acre and boasting over 400 years of history, truly lives up to its reputation (I initially doubted a guesthouse with zero bad reviews). Stepping in, the courtyard was clean, tidy, and vibrant with greenery. Many items exuded a sense of historical gravitas. Inside the room, two diligent cleaning ladies were tidying up; they clean after every guest. The room's decor clearly showcased the owner's meticulous attention to detail. The host, Ms. Mei, was incredibly talkative and warm-hearted. She shared fascinating insights on history, tea ceremonies, and local culture – truly a remarkable person, haha! She even provides her unique 'Mei's Chaozhou Guide'. Originally, I planned only one day in Chaozhou, but happily extended it by another day because of this wonderful experience. I hope to visit Meixiangju again and explore Chaoshan once more...

It's located right within the ancient city scenic area, making it incredibly convenient to visit attractions like Guangji Bridge and Kaiyuan Temple – just a few hundred meters' walk away. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, and the environment is clean and hygienic. Our butler, a lovely young lady, provided attentive service and even offered tips for sightseeing and local food, which was a big plus! 👍
The only minor drawback is that since the hotel is inside the scenic area, traffic control means cars can't drive directly to the hotel. We had to park at the nearby helicopter base parking lot and walk a few hundred meters. But honestly, strolling through the ancient city's alleys on the way was quite enjoyable. I particularly loved having a private courtyard; it felt like our own little sanctuary, and the kids could play without disturbing anyone. A pleasant surprise was receiving a souvenir gift upon check-out! ❤️ Highly recommended! 👈👍

GGuest UserArrived at the hotel at 3 AM and the front desk guy was asleep. Initially, there were no rooms available, but both the platform and the staff member helped us sort out the accommodation. We even got a free upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! For the next two days, Ms. Orange was at the front desk, and she was super sweet and had a great attitude. The guesthouse's location is absolutely fantastic, right by Paifang Street, and you can see Hanjiang Guangji Bridge from the fourth floor. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit! Highly recommended!

It's in a quiet spot despite being in a bustling area, not directly on the main road. There are lots of great local eateries nearby; the hotel's recommendations for food stalls were especially reliable and delicious! It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to the scenic spots, and ride-sharing services are readily available.
It's a standalone property with convenient parking! The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the room size is good. The breakfast is rich and high-quality, especially the kway teow noodles! 😘

Mmaie83The hotel is in a great location, right next to Kaiyuan Temple. Since Chaozhou Old Town has traffic restrictions, the drop-off point is also right by the hotel, just an 80-meter walk away. The hotel is on the fourth floor. The front desk staff were excellent and upgraded our room. It came with a bathtub and disposable tub liners, which the kids loved for their bath and playtime! The toilet was a smart one that opened automatically. When we left, a family member forgot their charger, and the hotel contacted us and even helped mail it back via SF Express, with shipping paid upon delivery. The only downside was the breakfast; it was quite basic, and the dining area was tiny, with only three tables. One auntie was serving, and she was clearly overwhelmed. Overall, it was still a good stay!

LLee Siang ChengWe were tossing between selecting Fortune Hotel and another one closer to the centre of city . We were glad that we made the right choice in Fortune hotel for our two days holidays in ChaoZhou .
The hotel was very modern and new . The place was spotless clean and lobby reception was staffed by two very courteous young ladies . Our check in was swift and we were upgraded to a room on the sixth floor.
The bedroom was spacious and clean . There were coffee and Chinese tea making facilities. In the mini fridge, we were told the three cans of soft drinks were complimentary. The toilet was very hi tech stuff with automated water splashes and the seat was heated . Now you do not find these kind of toilet facilities in China .
Breakfast has a great variety and selection of food , ranging from soup noodle with meat balls , fried vermicelli , vegetables, fried shrimps, fried chicken nuggets , century egg lean pork porridge , fresh fruits etc. With this selection of foods for breakfast, you would not be in an hurry to have lunch .
The hotel is a bit away from the pedestrian mall in PaiFang Jie , ChaoZhou old town , about 15 minutes drive costing 11 RMB . But the cleanliness of the room and large variety of food for buffet breakfast compensate for the slight inconvenience of location.

After you have walked the pedestrian mall and seen the GuangJi bridge , then you take a private car ride to the Fortune hotel for 11 RMB .

The inn is super conveniently located near Paifang Street, just a short walk to the bustling food street. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was very attentive, making for a really reassuring stay. If any friends are planning a trip to Chaozhou, I'll definitely recommend this place so they can experience the charm of the ancient city!

DDaizhuofagudalaohuI fell in love with this hotel after just one stay! The front desk staff, especially the gentlemen, were so gentle and patient, and check-in was seamless. The free tea in the lobby smelled amazing, and it was so relaxing to sit and enjoy a cup. The room was clean and tidy, with all the amenities you could need. The bedding felt like something from a five-star hotel – I fell asleep instantly and woke up feeling refreshed. The sink had great water pressure, the drain worked perfectly, and the hairdryer was powerful yet quiet, making it incredibly easy to use. The rice noodle soup in the second-floor breakfast restaurant was delicious and flavorful. The washing machines and dryers on the fifth floor were a lifesaver, and the free luggage storage made my trip completely hassle-free. Even the cleaning staff in the elevator would greet me with a smile. Five stars!
