"A very pleasant stay in this hotel. Good facilities are provided for guests. Room is spacious and the settings are nice and very comfortable. The open wardrobe is simple but functional. They use Peter Thomas Roth for toiletries. Breakfast is also good and a variety of food is served and replenished quite quickly. Those ladies at the front desk are friendly, too. Many thanks to the housekeeping team on the 11th floor, they responded very quickly to meet our needs."

It is only about 20 minutes' drive from Chaozhou high-speed rail station, and the transportation is very convenient, and it can easily reach various popular business districts and scenic spots in the city, so that travelers who come to Chaozhou, a famous historical and cultural city, can fully experience the "Free to be you" travel experience.
"The service was absolutely amazing [strong emoji]! It was Children's Day, and they had special activities like making sachets and a pool party with afternoon tea on the rooftop. It was a fantastic experience, and the sachets were beautiful. The room was super comfortable, spacious, and had a great view. The AC worked really well too. They also provided complimentary welcome fruits, and the gym equipment was quite comprehensive and effective. The highlight for me was the laundry room! It had both washing and drying facilities, which is a lifesaver when traveling in the hot summer. No more worrying about bringing a pile of dirty clothes home! I highly recommend this place and will definitely suggest it to friends visiting Chaozhou."

"The past few days in Chaozhou have been scorching, with temperatures at 36°C and a 'feels like' temperature of 43°C – absolutely sweltering! The hotel thoughtfully provided an extra power card, so every time I returned drenched in sweat from exploring, the best part was being greeted by a blast of cold air and a chilled bottled water from the mini-fridge – pure bliss! The reception area also had a fridge stocked with plenty of complimentary bottled water, which was a very nice touch. Inside the room, there were some local Chaoshan snacks, which were quite tasty. When I inquired where to buy them, the hotel even had an auntie bring us more to sample – I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is only about 100 meters from Kaiyuan Temple, making it incredibly convenient to walk to attractions like the Ancient City, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road. I even walked to Guangji Bridge three times in one day and didn't feel tired. There are also plenty of food options and souvenir shops nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the pillows were very comfortable. The lovely ladies at reception and the cleaning aunties were all very warm and provided excellent service. Because the heat was so unbearable, I decided last minute to have lunch at the snack shop right next door. I ordered Chaozhou braised platter rice and pig offal kway teow, and to my surprise, they were incredibly delicious – tasting just like traditional home-cooked Chaozhou food. The pig offal kway teow had a light flavor, and for only 15 yuan, it was packed with ingredients; adding black vinegar elevated the taste even further. This hotel is definitely worth recommending!"

"This is my second stay at the Crowne Plaza, and it's a fantastic hotel—clean and refreshing. It truly stands out in Chaozhou. This time, the account manager, Dave, provided excellent and friendly service. I chose a lavender pillow last night, and I slept wonderfully. The breakfast included handmade Kway Teow soup, rice noodle rolls (肠粉), and congee (生滚粥), which perfectly met my expectations for a Chaozhou breakfast. The river view room is absolutely stunning, both day and night. I'll definitely recommend it to friends and will be back again."

"I was so tired from sightseeing that I just crashed. When I woke up, I realized I was practically blind to the hygiene issues – it was absolutely appalling! The location is good, very close to the ancient city, but the cleanliness really put me off. It was so disgusting that I didn't even want to sleep. I understand paying more for a trip, but for this price, the lack of hygiene made it feel completely not worth it. I hope they seriously improve their cleaning standards."

AAnonymous User1) Location is superb. Right smack in the ancient city and 50m from the landmark guangji gate. You can walk everywhere to do your visits and taste street food & other gourmets . You can even get on a trishaw & do a slow sightseeing of the city among the interesting streets outside the non-traffic square
2) hotel is new about 6 months old. Clean and full amenities . The bed is comfortable and good. We are not familiar with the light switches so had trouble switching to dim lights at night

4) service is perfect . Our room came with breakfast. Breakfast is simple and fresh and wholesome . Well in chaozhou you probably wanna skip to eat the yummy snacks on the street. We had breakfast for 2 days. On the last day we skipped. We slept in till breakfast time was over. We had bought a rice dumpling and a rice snack the day before. We requested for them to heat up. They went beyond our expectations. Not only heat up, but gave us fresh fruits all serve properly on a tray like room service. Thank you
5) we booked a one bedroom suite on level 2. Ceilings are high. Room is airy. Soundproofing is good. Once the windows are closed. There’s minimal noise from street outside. By night 10pm it’s quiet . Morning noises only start around 9am plus from tourists foot traffic
6) Tip- as traffic are not allowed on that street. The nearest point is to get off at the Xia shui men (下水门） gate and enter the gate. From there you walk about 100-150m on flat well-tiled surfaces to the hotel

Ambiance: The decor was lovely and cozy. There was some street noise from cars at night, but they thoughtfully provided two pairs of earplugs. We're good sleepers so we didn't need them, but it's great for those who aren't – the host really thought of everything.
Facilities: The facilities were comprehensive, with both a bathtub and a shower. In addition to earplugs, they also provided sanitary pads, hair clips, hair ties, disposable toilet seat covers, and bathtub liners, so no need to worry about hygiene. These small details really show how much the host cares.
Service: The front desk service was excellent. If we had any questions, we just messaged them on WeChat, and they provided very detailed answers. When we arrived, they helped with our luggage and gave us a guide to local food and attractions. We wanted authentic Chaoshan beef hotpot, and they recommended Pan Ji Beef, which was indeed very authentic. On our first day, it rained heavily, and they even messaged us proactively to be careful.
Location: It's a five or six-minute walk to Han Wen Gong Temple, and Guangji Bridge is directly opposite the temple. We specifically chose a place close to Guangji Bridge to easily watch the light show at night. During the day, you can walk from Guangji Bridge into the ancient city. It's better value than staying inside the ancient city. When we checked out, the host even gave us a small gift box of Chaozhou San Bao. Overall, we were very satisfied; it was a pleasant two days.

GGuest UserChoosing this guesthouse for our first stop in Chaoshan was definitely the right decision! It's located right in the heart of the ancient city, so all the surrounding attractions are within walking distance. The parking lot is just a one-minute walk away, and at 30 yuan a day, it's excellent value for money. The room was spotlessly clean and came equipped with smart lighting, an air purifier, a washing machine, and a dehumidifier – perfect for drying clothes right in the room. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, treating us to a smooth, sweet Tianchi Dancong tea. The restaurants they recommended served authentic local cuisine, and they even helped us meticulously plan our entire itinerary for Chaozhou, Shantou, and Nan'ao. If you're staying in Chaozhou, this is definitely the place to choose!

The only minor drawback is that since the hotel is inside the scenic area, traffic control means cars can't drive directly to the hotel. We had to park at the nearby helicopter base parking lot and walk a few hundred meters. But honestly, strolling through the ancient city's alleys on the way was quite enjoyable. I particularly loved having a private courtyard; it felt like our own little sanctuary, and the kids could play without disturbing anyone. A pleasant surprise was receiving a souvenir gift upon check-out! ❤️ Highly recommended! 👈👍

GGuest UserArrived at the hotel at 3 AM and the front desk guy was asleep. Initially, there were no rooms available, but both the platform and the staff member helped us sort out the accommodation. We even got a free upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise! For the next two days, Ms. Orange was at the front desk, and she was super sweet and had a great attitude. The guesthouse's location is absolutely fantastic, right by Paifang Street, and you can see Hanjiang Guangji Bridge from the fourth floor. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit! Highly recommended!

There are lots of great local eateries nearby; the hotel's recommendations for food stalls were especially reliable and delicious! It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to the scenic spots, and ride-sharing services are readily available.
It's a standalone property with convenient parking! The hotel is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, and the room size is good. The breakfast is rich and high-quality, especially the kway teow noodles! 😘

The hotel isn't huge, but the facilities are complete and it's quite clean. However, the balcony was a bit disappointing; the walls are so high you can barely see outside. We booked a room with a hot tub, but the hotel didn't ask if we wanted it filled or anything beforehand. There's no hotel parking, and it's really hard to find a spot during peak season, especially during holidays when there's traffic control in the ancient city. We drove around a few times and couldn't even get to the hotel entrance... Overall, though, it was still pretty good!

Cleanliness: Spotless! I even told the cleaning staff it was clean enough, but she clearly has incredibly high standards for herself.
Ambiance: Very pleasant, a quiet oasis tucked away in a bustling neighborhood.
Service: I was quite annoyed with the room key issue. We were staying for consecutive nights, and after a tiring evening exploring the night market, we returned to our room on the sixth floor only to find the key card wasn't working. I sent my child to the front desk to get it reactivated. She came back saying it was fixed, but it still didn't work. I then had to go down *with* my child myself to the front desk to ensure it was properly reactivated before making another trek back up. It was genuinely exhausting.
Suggestion: It's quite inconvenient to have to reactivate the room key at the front desk when extending a stay. Most hotels allow guests to simply continue using their existing key without this extra step. I hope this process can be improved, especially given how busy the elevators already are.

She saw that we were going to stay there for 4 nights and took the initiative to upgrade us to a larger room with one more extra bed and closer to the laundry facility. That was a pleasant surprise when we checked in. Straight after checking in, she made some Chinese tea where we sat and she briefed us on the places to visit. Gave us her WeChat which we can contact her anytime if we needed any help.
Everything was great and the kids loved it so much. They have electric bikes where you can rent and it was awesome. We rented the bikes and rode all over the old quarters (highly recommended). I did not check the price of others but my wife told me the rates that they charge are cheaper than the E-bike rental shop at Xima Road. They sold Chinese tea as well which turned out to be pretty competitive as far as pricing is concerned. You'd pay alot more if you purchased tea at the pedestrian shopping strip (Ancient City) nearby.
Location was fantastic! Near to the entrance of Xima Road where you could either turn left and walk towards the Ancient city or right where you can walk to Xinqiao Road (many boutique shops there). There are a tonne of food stalls and restaurants there all within short walking distance and a 24hr minimart nearby.
Note that this is a homestay where everything is more relaxed and informal so don't expect hotel type of house keeping. Amenities and mineral water are placed at the foyer and you can grab as much as you need. They use disposable towels which may take getting used to if you haven't used one but the up side is that hygiene is guaranteed, and I'm happy with that.
Overall, it was a great experience staying there and we will certainly stay there again on our next trip.

DDaizhuofagudalaohuI fell in love with this hotel after just one stay! The front desk staff, especially the gentlemen, were so gentle and patient, and check-in was seamless. The free tea in the lobby smelled amazing, and it was so relaxing to sit and enjoy a cup. The room was clean and tidy, with all the amenities you could need. The bedding felt like something from a five-star hotel – I fell asleep instantly and woke up feeling refreshed. The sink had great water pressure, the drain worked perfectly, and the hairdryer was powerful yet quiet, making it incredibly easy to use. The rice noodle soup in the second-floor breakfast restaurant was delicious and flavorful. The washing machines and dryers on the fifth floor were a lifesaver, and the free luggage storage made my trip completely hassle-free. Even the cleaning staff in the elevator would greet me with a smile. Five stars!
