"The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The location was convenient, and the front desk staff, especially the ladies, had a wonderful attitude. I'd definitely choose this place again next time and highly recommend it! The public area at the front desk is absolutely stunning for photos! Even though it was a rainy day when I visited, it was warm and cozy indoors, and it's very close to Duan Bridge. It was a really enjoyable experience! 🥰🥰"

"Jackie was very attentive and responsible. The room arranged for us was perfect – non-smoking and facing the sun. It was excellent. The room had a desk, which was very convenient for the kids to read. I'm especially grateful for the help with printing the kids' test papers; the service was truly superb. The robot delivery for our late-night takeout was super convenient. There's a piano in the lobby, and I never expected my child could practice piano even while traveling. It exceeded my expectations and was totally worth it!"

"The front desk staff demonstrated excellent service awareness and attitude. Any issues raised during my stay were promptly and effectively addressed.
I suggest the hotel invest in two commercial washing machines with automatic detergent dispensers and designate a clothes drying area. For laundry left in the machines without a room number or not collected promptly, either remove and hang it to dry or tumble dry it on a cool cycle for 30-50 minutes. (This advice also applies to guests who urgently need to use the machines and remove others' laundry for drying, as many modern garments made of cast synthetic fibers can easily deform or delaminate with high-temperature drying. For example, a single Descente shirt or pair of pants can cost around 2,000, and a jacket can be 3,000-4,000.)"

"The reason for booking the hotel was because of the river view. I read a lot of reviews before going there and was a little worried about the facilities of the old hotel. I was very satisfied after checking in. Although the room was not upgraded, it was a room with a front river view. The room facilities were basically complete. The service was very considerate. The cleaning lady was very kind. I told her not to pour out the tea in the cup, and she put a few more bottles of drinking water. The supervisor, Miss Ma Yanjiao, was very enthusiastic when checking out. It was really a very satisfactory hotel. Next time my family goes to Dandong, I will definitely book here again."

"Stayed here for one night. The room was excellent and so were the staff. I had to point out my visa free stamp in my passport as it’s only a recent change that New Zealanders get 15 days visa free access to China so I imagine I was the first New Zealander to stay there.
Overall the place was great and I would recommend it to everyone. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent with plenty of choice."

Downstairs, there are convenience stores and restaurants, so all your daily needs are covered. It's absolutely perfect for business travelers or independent tourists. Even though it's in a bustling area, the rooms are very quiet and completely undisturbed by outside noise. The room offers a wide, open view where you can overlook the city's nightscape – it's really pleasant. Next time I'm in this city, this will definitely be my top choice."

The hotel's overall design is incredibly tasteful, blending New Chinese style with modern simplicity. The public areas are spacious and bright, with art pieces and greenery perfectly placed to create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. The front desk staff's smiles and efficient, professional service instantly put me at ease. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, freshly renovated with no strange odors, and the details were spot on. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. Although it was a bleak winter scene outside the window, the room was warm and spring-like, with soft lighting and a well-thought-out layout, making for a truly relaxing and pleasant stay.
Then there's the tranquil beauty of the Yalu River in winter – I had a river view room, and the vista was excellent. Even though it was winter, with bare trees on both banks and a quiet, desolate landscape, it only highlighted the clear and deep beauty of the Yalu River. Under the winter sun, it shimmered with a cool, serene glow, creating a unique sense of calm and openness.
But what truly touched and delighted me was the thoughtful 'souvenir' the hotel prepared. It wasn't the usual candy or simple stationery, but a bone china plate featuring illustrations of the Yalu River Broken Bridge and the scenery of North Korea across the river. It was full of local character and historical significance – a keepsake I could take home. The bathroom is clean and toilet-style, so it is convenient for Koreans. The bed was good and the bedding was satisfactory.
The interior heating was good, so I visited in December, but I slept sweating. The location is right in front of the Yalu River Danqiao, so it is easy to go sightseeing and there are various restaurants from cheap restaurants to luxury restaurants around.
If you want to eat cheap and delicious, you can walk a little for 5 minutes instead of the riverside. If you go to the alley in the downtown area of Dandong Railway Station, there are many Korean restaurants run by Koreans.
Anyway, I am satisfied overall. I will come again next time!

The weather on May 1st is still strong. There are mountains and waters around. It is very pleasant. The boss said that the maple leaves in autumn are better-looking. You can consider coming again in October.
The cabin has a complete range of indoor appliances. Water heaters, smart toilets, geothermal air conditioning, hand-made coffee and tea in the stove are very pleasant. Of course, outdoor camping inevitably has some emergencies, such as small bugs, bad nets, or broken electric curtains 😂 Normal heart ～ Since you choose camping, you can feel another life!
The only uncomfortable thing is from breakfast. The breakfast is delivered by the eldest sister. It is very good. Each breakfast is heavy and full. But the two of us can't eat too much. We asked for a bowl of porridge, two steamed buns and some pickles. The eldest sister said that there are salted duck eggs. I said yes, the eldest sister asked a few and I said if I could come two. When the eldest sister was going to get it for me, a fat little brother next to her pulled his face and said no, he could give one. At that time, I was particularly defeated. Our accommodation, the electric curtains are broken, the net is broken, and there are small bugs. We all endured it because a salted duck egg depends on the face of people. Please standardize your breakfast, okay! If you can have one and a half salted duck eggs, please print them out and stick them in a clear position instead of asking us on the spot. Finally, say you can give one.
If the boss wants to do service for a long time, he has to keep up. It is fun to spend money. It is not to see other people's faces!

PpangkaAlright location but not as close to the river as the name suggests. There's no river view. Taxis had difficulty coming into the hotel lobby. The hotel is a bit old but maintained okay. The fader on the reading light didn't work. They gave us only two pillows for a Queen bed. On the plus side they have put in those great japanese style toilets with heated seats. Nice touch.

GGuest UserLocation was great 30 seconds walk to train station , pick up point right outside hotel for taxis, good view towards North Korea side and bridge from higher floors.
My room was very dated and old with musty smell and signs of age on walls and furniture.
The bedroom was no frills i.e. no tissue or tea provided in room. Sheets were clean and ok.
The bathroom has a slight smell of pee, and shower area is not separated from rest of bathroom so whole bathroom gets wet during shower. However bathroom is stocked with the usual necessities like toothbrush, soap, hairdryer, towels, toilet rolls which is good.
Overall, good value for budget travellers due to low cost. I would not stay here again next time I visit Dandong as there are other similar priced hotels 1-3 minutes further from the train station, but without the view to North Korea.

EExploring ForeignerDisappointing, and a little expensive for the quality (but I guess this is normally for Dandong). No water in the room (which I normally expect for anything over 100 yuan). The room, although had a window, was across an internal courtyard walkway, so didn't get much light. The room also seemed to have a fire escape in it. I was awoken at 5:45am by a young girl trying to open that door (I don't know if she was drunk or crazy or what was going on, but it was not a way to be woken up, and it would never have happened if there wasnt some weird locked door to the outside world at the back of the room). I informed the owner but I wasn't offered any insight. Obviously I didn't get back to sleep after this incident, so wasn't well rested the next day
