Dandong Hotels with Gym

I chose the Orange Hotel for my trip to Dandong, and my overall experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating! 📍 **Excellent Location:** It's right by the Yalu River Broken Bridge, so you can walk to the river for sightseeing. Restaurants, taxis, and attractions are all incredibly convenient, saving time and effort getting around. 🏨 **Ambiance & Decor:** The hotel's decor is simple yet stylish, with a refined and timeless design. The lobby and guest rooms have a great atmosphere. The overall environment is quiet and elegant, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle, making for a comfortable stay. 🧹 **Spotless Cleanliness:** The room cleaning was exceptionally thorough; tabletops, corners, and bathrooms were all impeccably clean. The bedding was neat and odor-free, and public areas were consistently tidy. Very friendly for germaphobes! 🙋 **Thoughtful & Attentive Service:** The front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in efficient. They patiently answered all my questions, providing detailed and heartwarming service. It truly felt like a home away from home. 🍳 **Amazing Breakfast:** The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, with hot dishes, pastries, porridges, and fruits – everything you could want. The flavors were authentic and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every day. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Dandong. Highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Dandong!

I was already feeling down because of the recent rainy season, and the room had a bit of a damp smell. But the hotel staff immediately upgraded me to a suite and actively resolved all issues right away, which instantly brightened up my trip! Dandong's tourism industry should really have other businesses learn from them. They even gave me a small souvenir when I left. So happy! 🥳

The hotel is quite grand and impressive from the outside, with plenty of parking. It's about a ten-minute drive from the airport, which is convenient. Although it's right by the river, it's almost a 30-minute drive from key attractions like Broken Bridge and the Memorial Hall, so you'll need to plan your itinerary accordingly. The service was excellent; all our requests were met. We got an upgraded room, and the bathroom was huge with very fragrant and effective toiletries. Overall, the cleanliness was good, but we noticed some marks on the table as soon as we opened the door, which was a bit off-putting and could be improved.

This is a very nice hotel with free parking, a gym, and laundry facilities. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Xiao He, the front desk clerk, was proactive and reassuring. During check-out, the front desk was equally attentive and thorough. They quickly checked the bill to ensure it was correct, which only further enhanced my impression of this hotel.

This is the second time I have chosen to stay in this hotel. The hotel has a very good location. The room is not small, with a double bed and a single bed, which is enough for a family of three. The overall environment is clean, tidy, comfortable and sanitary, and the front desk is also very good. In short, I am very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel next time I come.

Very good five-star hotel, the Chinese restaurant is very good. The concierge service at the door needs to be improved. When checking in, there was no concierge, only a cleaning man in a white shirt talking on the phone, who I mistook for a concierge. When checking out, the front desk lady ran out to help me move my luggage to the car, but the concierge turned a blind eye. I asked why, and the answer was: I didn't help you because I saw you were a man. In fact, my son (a primary school student) carried a big box by himself. It's okay if you didn't help me, but why don't you help the child move the box? Besides, can the concierge decide whether to serve based on his own understanding?

The hotel's location is decent, not far from the attractions, and super convenient for dining and shopping. There are plenty of parking spaces, which is great if you're driving, but it's totally unmanaged and chaotic! No one helped with luggage, which is pretty shocking for a supposed five-star hotel that can't even manage that basic service. Breakfast was quite good, and the room was spacious. Cleanliness was just okay, but the facilities were comprehensive. One thing really annoyed me though: when checking in, the front desk gave us complimentary hot spring tickets. I took my child, and no one mentioned at the entrance that children needed tickets or specified any age/height requirements. But when we left, they said my child had to pay. I asked the front desk, and they said the free tickets were only for adults. Honestly, it wasn't a lot of money, but it just left a bad taste. I paid over 700 for the room, and then to nickel-and-dime over a 29-yuan hot spring ticket for my kid? It just felt petty!

We booked two business king rooms! Like other Lavande hotels, the overall experience was good! The facilities were relatively new, the cleanliness was good, and the bedding was comfortable. It's worth mentioning that there was background music in the bathroom, which was quite interesting. The parking lot was large, making it convenient for those driving.

The hotel is very close to the railway station, 10 min walk to the promenade, Broken Bridge and Piers, there’s a small park next to the hotel with dancing fountains and illuminated street at night ( looks wow!), easy to reach restaurants, stores and shops, where you can buy goods produced in DPRK. Before talking to the receptionist , better get ready your phone translator if you’re not fluent in Chinese, they didn’t seem very friendly and hospitable, the house keeping lady was more hello-hi and smiling, helped me to find the dashboard in my room to switch the lights:). By the way , the toilet surprised me with warm mode and some more functions you’ll check by yourself ( especially ladies:)). Breakfast….even for Chinese locals and hotel rating it looked poor and not delicious.Perhaps, it’s only my opinion, but I was disappointed and left the hotel restaurant half hungry.The hotel room is quite cozy and spacious, the mattress is not soft , but comfy for sleeping.Recommend it for short stay, 2-3 days, but for budget travelers, it’s not the option. I was very satisfied with Ivy's service during my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Dandong. The hotel has been operating for many years, but the facilities are very well-maintained. Its location right next to a shopping district makes it very convenient for getting around, and the room was clean and tidy.
