AAndreas PtacekThree and a half hours by car from Shenyang, we arrived at a simple but very clean and individual hotel with exceptional charm and flair for China. The hike in the Hutangou Scenic Area in Qingshan Ditch National Park is one of the most beautiful nature experiences we have had in Northeast China in three years. The boat trip on the Hunjiang Reservoir is also a breathtaking nature experience. Definitely worth a several-day trip from Shenyang or Changchun.

GGuest UserReally enjoyed our stay at the Dandong Young hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even going so far as to refrigerate our leftovers overnight and reheating them for our lunch the following day. The hotel itself is a little quirky, with a second lift connecting the 6th floor and our room on the 7th floor. The room was very clean, modern and high-tech. The free gift on departure was a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again when we get back to Dandong.

The check-in staffs are polite and friendly. Efficient with their services. Room is clean and neat. The room even have a nice table with a proper table light for me to do my work. The main lobby also got a coffee table for coffee and water. Nice area for short meeting too. There is also a small tour desk available for you to book your local tour. Very convenient. Hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of Dandong Railway Station (High Speed Train Station). Going to see the historical broken bridge is also within walking distance of around 15-20 minutes. Very convenient. Overall, a nice and comfortable stay.

AAnton AshcroftA perfect hotel. The location of the hotel is really good, located very near to the broken bridge. You can even see North Korea from the hotel.
The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The boss is a really great person and she made me feel welcome. She is always smiling !

XXiaocuiairuikeThe front desk lady is pretty and gentle, with a good service attitude. My child had diarrhea, and she gave me medicine for free, thank you very much. The room cleaning lady on the fifth floor of Area A was very good. The refrigerator was not hot, so she immediately brought a new good refrigerator, thank you 😊. The children were also provided with free slippers and toothbrushes. The hotel parking lot is huge, which gives self-driving tourists a super comfortable experience, without worrying about parking anxiety. The hotel is located by the Yalu River, and you can enjoy the river view for free without leaving the hotel, which is great. A very good trip to Andong.

The weather on May 1st is still strong. There are mountains and waters around. It is very pleasant. The boss said that the maple leaves in autumn are better-looking. You can consider coming again in October.
The cabin has a complete range of indoor appliances. Water heaters, smart toilets, geothermal air conditioning, hand-made coffee and tea in the stove are very pleasant. Of course, outdoor camping inevitably has some emergencies, such as small bugs, bad nets, or broken electric curtains 😂 Normal heart ～ Since you choose camping, you can feel another life!
The only uncomfortable thing is from breakfast. The breakfast is delivered by the eldest sister. It is very good. Each breakfast is heavy and full. But the two of us can't eat too much. We asked for a bowl of porridge, two steamed buns and some pickles. The eldest sister said that there are salted duck eggs. I said yes, the eldest sister asked a few and I said if I could come two. When the eldest sister was going to get it for me, a fat little brother next to her pulled his face and said no, he could give one. At that time, I was particularly defeated. Our accommodation, the electric curtains are broken, the net is broken, and there are small bugs. We all endured it because a salted duck egg depends on the face of people. Please standardize your breakfast, okay! If you can have one and a half salted duck eggs, please print them out and stick them in a clear position instead of asking us on the spot. Finally, say you can give one.
If the boss wants to do service for a long time, he has to keep up. It is fun to spend money. It is not to see other people's faces!

MMartinLovesAsiaThe location is great and the price was reasonable for a 5 star hotel. However, there were some things that seemed lacking of a 5 star hotel.
The CONS - Rooms come with heavy smoke smell and ashtray even if asking for non smoking, and it was open smoking in the lobby and even elevators. I would have loved a bathtub instead of only a shower. The breakfast was very good for the price (48 rmb) but didn't include juices and their attempt at adding bacon was horrific as it was a fake street sausage type of bacon that's bright red and inedible. There was brand-name water bottles and then there was the hotel water bottles in the room and there was a menu charging 2 rmb to heat up water. I am not sure how they would know or if this is to charge for the people who steal the tea and coffee. But I would expect to boil water for free. Also the gym closed at 19:00 and it seemed a bit early.
The PROS - The beds were comfortable. The staff did their best to accommodate and even allowed picking up luggage later. The coffee shop inside had great coffee if you dont mind the smoke. The breakfast was a great value for 48 rmb. The location was great and convenient. The hotel was able to check us in to the room early with availability. The hot spring SPA was amazing as well since there was no pool but you need to be careful not to let them give you extra services (which are sub par) and just enjoy the hot water and sauna for free when you buy something.

PpangkaAlright location but not as close to the river as the name suggests. There's no river view. Taxis had difficulty coming into the hotel lobby. The hotel is a bit old but maintained okay. The fader on the reading light didn't work. They gave us only two pillows for a Queen bed. On the plus side they have put in those great japanese style toilets with heated seats. Nice touch.

GGuest UserLocation was great 30 seconds walk to train station , pick up point right outside hotel for taxis, good view towards North Korea side and bridge from higher floors.
My room was very dated and old with musty smell and signs of age on walls and furniture.
The bedroom was no frills i.e. no tissue or tea provided in room. Sheets were clean and ok.
The bathroom has a slight smell of pee, and shower area is not separated from rest of bathroom so whole bathroom gets wet during shower. However bathroom is stocked with the usual necessities like toothbrush, soap, hairdryer, towels, toilet rolls which is good.
Overall, good value for budget travellers due to low cost. I would not stay here again next time I visit Dandong as there are other similar priced hotels 1-3 minutes further from the train station, but without the view to North Korea.

GGuest UserThe hotel is just a five minute walk from the railway station which makes early departures and late night arrivals very feasible. I was out all day against low temperature, strong wind and rain and was therefore very pleased with the super hot water coming off the shower. Next to the elevator there are chairs and small tables where you can take your own coffee to in the morning and have a good bird’s eye view of the intersection outside.
