"Misty Guilin, truly lives up to its reputation! With a view right outside the window, stepping downstairs transports you into a picturesque scroll of mountains and rivers – distant peaks like painted brows, nearby waters hazy with mist, and swirling clouds that make you feel like you've entered an ink-wash fairyland. Choosing this place meant even a rainy day became a rare and beautiful experience.
What was even more delightful was the hotel's service. The one-on-one butler was thoughtful and meticulous, ensuring everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. In the morning, that authentic bowl of Guilin rice noodles, with its rich卤香 (lu xiang - savory braised flavor), left a lasting impression. The room facilities were comprehensive, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

"The hotel's location is pretty good, very close to the scenic area, just a few minutes drive away. My friends and I came to Guilin for a trip and after comparing several hotels, we decided on this one. It exceeded our expectations! The dry and wet separation design is very thoughtful, and the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard. I had a great night's sleep and felt refreshed. They also have a self-service laundry room, which is super convenient for lazy people like us, haha. The snacks and coffee in the lobby are good too!"

The service was absolutely fantastic; the staff were so energetic and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. It felt like a home away from home, so relaxing. The location is perfect too – step out and you're surrounded by local eateries, and major attractions are just a few hundred meters walk away. It was incredibly convenient to pop back to the hotel for a break whenever we got tired. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, every dish was exquisitely prepared and delicious – definitely no cut corners there! All in all, it's a hidden gem with incredible value for money and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Guilin!"

"The hotel's biggest plus is its excellent location. We booked a lake-view room and could see Rong Lake right across. Just a short walk from the hotel is the Rong Lake scenic area, complete with a winding bridge. A little further takes you to Shan Lake, where you can admire the Sun and Moon Pagodas. We saw them during the day and then returned in the evening to enjoy their night view. Past the pagodas, you can walk to the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area. From there, it's a short stroll to Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street, Dongxi Alley, Central Square, and Zhongshan Middle Road. We spent a whole day on a city walk, really soaking in Guilin's urban atmosphere. In the evening, passing by Rong Lake, we even stumbled upon an older brass band playing everything from 'Butterfly Lovers' to 'Woman Flower,' with people spontaneously joining in with square dancing – it was so much fun! The hotel breakfast offered rice noodles and oil tea, which was a great local experience. Another bonus is that each floor has a laundry room and dryer, and you can even leave a note for the staff to help with washing and delivery. No more waiting around for a washing machine!"

A stellar view of the city is found on the balcony on the 13th and 14th floors, but all rooms and suites offer good views of Guilin's spectacularly photogenic scenery.Thirteen restaurants serving both Chinese and Western foods won't disappoint. The large conference room (seating 400) will also come in handy if you happen to be in Guilin for business rather than pleasure and need to host a large meeting or function.

"My good mood in Nanning started with staying at a fantastic hotel! We arrived too early and our booked room wasn't ready, so the hotel kindly upgraded us for free. The facilities are brand new, and they even have an electronic scale and complimentary laundry service (wash and dry). The location is superb, very close to downtown attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, Jingjiang Prince City, Xiaoyao Tower, and Sun and Moon Pagodas. "Let's start with check-in. After I checked in, the front desk attendant personally escorted me to my room, added me on WeChat, and even provided a travel guide, which was great. The room facilities are truly excellent, and the room itself is very spacious, making for a fantastic experience. It's close to all the main attractions, so you can easily walk back to the hotel. Once back, they offer mung bean porridge, various teas, and fruits. It's genuinely worth recommending. I took a video of the hotel environment, but I can't seem to upload it."

The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

Before I dive into the review, I have to praise the service. It was thoughtful, warm, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly cherished. 🥰
The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, right by the Qinglong Bridge on the Yulong River. From the large floor-to-ceiling window next to our bed, we had direct views of the continuous karst peaks and the gently flowing Yulong River, with bamboo rafts slowly drifting by our window. Every glance offered a picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scene. The design is simple yet sophisticated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. The super-large floor-to-ceiling windows, courtyard lawn, and the rooftop 'sky mirror' all provided perfect photo opportunities. The environment is serene and peaceful, completely away from the hustle and bustle, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
I must commend the service again; it was exceptionally thoughtful, offering full butler-style service. Every front desk staff member was enthusiastic and meticulous, always ready to assist with any questions. The attention to detail was impeccable, making the entire experience relaxing and heartwarming. We initially booked for only two nights, planning to try another hotel for a different view, but we were so touched by the service that we extended our stay for another two nights. The service was truly exceptional.
The downstairs restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh and authentic. The Guilin rice noodles, beer fish, and braised chicken 🐓 were all delicious, and the eggplant 🍆 and green beans were incredibly fragrant. We had dinner there four times in a row, and each meal was satisfying and enjoyable; our whole family loved the food.
The hotel's infinity pool offers direct views of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Our children spent several afternoons playing there. The area around the pool is comfortable and well-equipped, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the scenery while the kids have fun.
It was a truly healing and immersive experience amidst the mountains and rivers. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all top-notch. Whether for a relaxing getaway or a family trip, this is definitely a treasure choice for a stay in Yangshuo!

GGuest UserFacilities: They have everything – an underground parking garage, a swimming pool, and a laundry room. The mini-fridge in the room was also very convenient. I came back late one night and did my laundry, and the front desk even helped me retrieve my clothes after they were dry, which I really appreciated.
Cleanliness: Both the hotel and the room itself were spotless. When I left the room to go out, they would promptly ask if I needed it cleaned, which was excellent.
Environment: It's right by the Yulong River. Seeing the view from the window when I entered the room made everything feel worth it. The location is also fantastic, very close to the pier, making it super easy to go bamboo rafting! You can even 'rush the dam' from this pier! And there are five dams to rush, making it incredibly good value for money! I chose to stay here instead of Yangshuo West Street because I prefer the scenery here. During the day, it's convenient to rent an e-bike from the hotel and explore West Street, then ride back at night to enjoy the tranquility of this area.
Service: All the hotel staff were very warm and friendly. They gave great recommendations for various attractions. On my return trip, it happened to be 'Sanyuesan' (a local festival), and they thoughtfully advised me to leave early. When I rented an e-bike, they even helped me ride it out of the parking lot first. And when I left, they gave me a souvenir, which was a lovely touch! If I come back again, I'll definitely choose this place!

AAnonymous UserA trainee checked us in and assigned #1005. Upon entering, we noticed a strong cigarette odor. The front desk was courteous and offered two alternative rooms, but both had similar lingering smells. Housekeeping provided an air purifier, which helped somewhat. We also observed guests smoking in the hallway, so the odor seems to be an ongoing issue. As non-smokers who are sensitive to smoke, this was a significant drawback and not something we typically encounter with international hotel brands.
There was also some confusion during payment. After showing us the rooms, the trainee realized we had not been charged and brought a POS machine to the room, which did not have a signal. We eventually had to go downstairs and complete three separate transactions via Alipay. Note that Alipay charges a ~3% service fee on transactions over ¥200 when using international cards, which may be inconvenient for some travelers. I have been using my Visa at global hotel brands for over a month and encountered no issues.
One frustrating moment was when housekeeping insisted there was no cigarette odor. We understand that perceptions may differ, but it’s important to acknowledge guest feedback, especially for those sensitive to smoke.
The bed was comfortable, and sound insulation was average. Despite being on the 10th floor, we could hear traffic noise as well as our neighbors talking and moving furniture. Wi-Fi was also quite slow (2.4 GHz only), with speeds in the teens for both upload and download. Light switches were complicated with options like London, Paris. New York, etc. The hotel isn't a new built and used to be another hotel as you can see from their mugs, towels, etc. Note to myself to book for newly built, not newly opened.
The hotel offered us a complimentary breakfast on the 12th floor. The selection was primarily Chinese (about 95%), with minimal Western options. None of the items were labeled, which could be challenging for international guests and those with dietary restrictions.
Laundry service is available, either self-service or through staff. However, communication was difficult and the interaction felt unnecessarily complicated. The staff who collected our clothes was talking so loudly that my husband thought we were arguing. In hindsight, we should have done the laundry ourselves
The hotel is within a 10 minute walking distance to a food street that has tons of eateries that locals go. It will be difficult to order in non Chinese.
Overall, the hotel does not appear to cater well to non-Chinese-speaking guests. Per my husband, despite using the translation app, basic requests (asking for an umbrella) were difficult without Mandarin, which made the experience more tiring.
During check out, the front desk offered some dried fruit as a gift and reminded us to give a 5 star rating on everything. This is a common request as we experienced it at a previous hotel. This is our 4th local hotel throughout the 6 weeks visit in China.
In summary, while the stay was acceptable, the persistent cigarette odor and communication challenges would prevent us from choosing a similar local hotel again.

The hotel's location is absolutely prime, situated at No. 36 North Road, Yangshuo County. It's just a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of West Street's commercial area, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and enjoying a drink at a bar. Yet, it manages to avoid the street's hustle and bustle, offering a wonderfully peaceful experience amidst the vibrancy. Transportation around the hotel is also incredibly convenient; you can walk to the Li River, ride an electric scooter to the Ten-Mile Gallery in about 15 minutes, and it's not far from Xingping Ancient Town or the Impression Liu Sanjie scenic area. It's ideal for both independent travelers and families.
Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by its New Chinese style. The ground floor features a traditional Chinese courtyard with beautiful bonsai and a pond, creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere perfect for photos. The public area also has a tatami tea room that offers complimentary coffee and tea, making it a delightful spot to relax, sip tea, and chat. The most surprising feature was the 800-square-meter sky garden on the 5th floor, boasting a 360-degree observation deck and an Instagram-worthy infinity pool. With Yangshuo's iconic karst landscapes as the backdrop, you can watch the Li River sunset on a clear day or admire the mountain mist on a rainy day. Every picture taken here turns out stunning; my friends couldn't stop snapping photos. In the evening, they even host open-air movie screenings here, which, combined with the gentle breeze, creates an incredible ambiance.
The room decor was equally impressive. The minimalist yet tasteful interiors are complemented by large, bright windows. Some room types even come with a scenic balcony and a separate bathtub, allowing you to enjoy the green mountains and waters while bathing. Our mountain-view king room was spacious and impeccably clean. The smart home features were very convenient to use, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep. For families, the duplex panoramic king room is perfect, featuring a private viewing terrace and a swing, spacious enough for the whole family to gather.
The thoughtful service was evident in every detail. The front desk staff were cheerful and enthusiastic, happy to answer all our travel questions, and even helped us book tickets and plan our itinerary. The hotel thoughtfully provides free electric scooter rentals – the pink and green scooters are super eye-catching on the road, and riding them to the Yulong River for rafting or through the Ten-Mile Gallery was incredibly enjoyable. The breakfast was truly generous, offering Guilin rice noodles, assorted grains, eggs, fruits, and soy milk – all plentiful and delicious, providing a perfect start to the day's adventures. Additionally, there's a children's play area, self-service laundry, and luggage storage, making it stress-free for those traveling with kids.
For just over 100 RMB per person, you can stay in a scenic room and enjoy so many high-quality services – the value for money is truly exceptional. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a trip with friends, or a family vacation, this hidden gem of a hotel nestled among the mountains and rivers will meet your needs. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Yangshuo!

GGuest UserLovely hotel with a rustic vibe. Amenities and activities are good but service doesn’t live up to the expectation. They only have one English speaking staff and she’s in charge of the reception, considering they have a huge number of foreigners checked in. Restaurant service was pretty bad. Staff didn’t get our order right and no one speaks English.
Photo service for room 508 was very good. I love the results and the photographer was amazing and very accommodating. SPA massage was excellent and the SPA itself has very calming feeling. Location is perfect, it’s solemn and quiet yet not far from main town.

The rooftop 'Sky Mirror' offers stunning panoramic views of the winding Li River – it's like a built-in filter for your photos, every shot looks professional! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to West Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. Plus, there's free parking, which is a huge bonus if you're driving.
They offer a complimentary buffet breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. I loved relaxing on the balcony sofa during the day, just unwinding and enjoying the mountain scenery, and then watching the sunset in the evening – it felt like time just slowed down. The room I booked even had a soaking tub, and bathing while looking at the mountains was incredibly relaxing! For anyone looking to escape the city for a bit, a weekend here is truly rejuvenating!

GGuest UserHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.
