"Location is near to airport, suitable for those who need transfer on the next day at somewhere around airport but distance travel to Mataram isn’t that far, with smooth traffic, around 40 minutes will reach. The unfavourable part is hard to secure Grab or Gojek during night time at airport. Better book airport transfer with hotel or at Trip.com before reaching there. We got charged idr 80k the moment we reach here, the hotel. At the airport he said charged us idr 18k, still get tested by them with asking where we came from, since we said Malaysia, they tried to play tricks at the price of fetching us. He still asked us to give him the balance due to he got no small cash notes. While we were trying to ask the hotel receptionist whether he got small notes, the driver rushed down from the car and communicate using their language. Doesn’t feel good at that time."

"This hotel offers great value for money on Senggigi Beach. The breakfast selection is quite good. Our room was very spacious, clean, and bright. From the balcony, we could enjoy views of the lawn, coconut trees, and the sea, and also hear the booming sound of the waves. The staff were very responsive to our requests. "Golden Palace Lombok was the most luxurious hotel we stayed at in Mataram. We spent one night here while traveling to the airport. The staff were extremely kind and helpful — we even used the laundry service, and the clothes came back smelling great and in perfect condition. The price was more than reasonable for a room with a double bed and a beautiful city view. You can also enjoy the rooftop, which offers a stunning view of the entire city. If you are planning to stay in Mataram and are looking for something truly luxurious, we can definitely recommend this place."

"This hotel is pretty good. The location is convenient, and the staff's English communication is perfectly fine. The room was quiet, and breakfast was decent, definitely acceptable for Chinese guests. Plus, there's a supermarket and an ATM nearby, which is very handy."

"The resort was pure luxury after island life! The hotel room was stunning and spotless, and it was wonderful to sleep in clean sheets. The open-air bathroom was amazing! I enjoyed the pool area and its views towards the sea. I had delicious meals at the restaurant while gazing at the ocean and listening to its soothing sounds. So relaxing! I also tried the hotel spa, and the massage was absolutely wonderful. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I truly enjoyed my stay here. I only stayed for one night, so I can’t comment on the location. 10/10."

Nowhere does this hold true more than on the stretch of Senggigi and Mangsit, Lombok's 'first beach among equals' and an exceedingly pretty stretch of golden beach with the island's best sunset and Bali views; all a few steps from your suite or villa at Sudamala Suites and Villas, Senggigi, Lombok. Here, the water is typically calm and clear and, while relaxed surfing is possible here, it is perfect for kids and those just looking to curl your toes in the sand and soak up the tropical sun.
"Unfortunately, I missed the sunset due to a flight delay, but having dinner right on the beach at night was also fantastic.
Breakfast facing the pool was very peaceful, and the greenery was well-maintained. The food quality was good, and the room was lovely. I had a very comfortable stay.
The staff were very attentive and helped us with various boat tickets.
The only downside is that it's an hour from the airport to the hotel, and 30 minutes from the hotel to Bansal Pier. It would be fine if you're staying for several days."

In our case, they quickly helped us resolve an issue with visiting the hospital; they literally walked us there, sorted everything out, and accompanied us back. The location is very convenient. We walked from the pier upon arrival, and for our return, the hotel arranged a horse-drawn carriage for us at the specified time. The excursions we booked departed directly from the hotel's jetty. The hotel beach is clean, and you can swim with turtles on your own. If you swim to the left, you'll see lots of baby turtles! 😊 The breakfasts are delicious! We ordered room service, and it was brought exactly on time, beautifully presented, tasty, and diverse! 👌👍 Out of 8 hotels in Bali, this one and one other had truly exceptional breakfasts! The rooms are clean! This was a huge plus! Also, there's a French press coffee maker in the room, which is a lovely touch; it's so convenient to start the morning right with a delicious cup of coffee. The hotel grounds are green and well-maintained! I enjoyed the massage, especially having a massage table in a separate spa area. I highly recommend this hotel!

GGuest UserExcellent location. It's a one-minute walk to the sea, and you get gorgeous sunsets right on your doorstep. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom is large and comfortable with a stylish interior. There are only 20 rooms, making it a small and cozy place.
Like most hotels in Indonesia, there's an issue with room cleaning; you often have to remind them to change the linen, and the towels can be stained.
Another downside is the window screen in the bathroom—it makes it very hot during the day, lets insects in, and loud music from Rabbita often blasts through.
Overall, it's a good, comfortable hotel. We stayed for 6 nights.

Housekeeping and grounds staff take pride in their work — the room was clean and reasonably well maintained, and the gardens and grounds are genuinely beautiful. This review has absolutely nothing to do with the staff; it’s about dishonest marketing that should be rectified by booking platforms.
Several aspects fall short of what is normally expected of a genuine 5-star resort. The staff-to-guest ratio and availability of English-speaking staff are limited, and the rooms lack adequate soundproofing; we could clearly hear neighbouring guests above us moving furniture, laughing, and having normal conversations.
Some standard in-room amenities were also missing. There was no iron or ironing board provided, requiring us to request an iron from reception and iron clothes on the bed. The minibar space contained an old, empty fridge, and the Wi-Fi was extremely slow — unable to load even the Netflix menu. This also may have been due to the +-15 year old TV connected to a budget digital box.
Most notably, there are no fitness facilities at all — no gym, no fitness room, and no alternative exercise facilities — which is a significant omission for a property marketed as a 5-star resort.
The advertised “private beach” is extremely misleading. It is a tiny section barely separated from the public beach, and is, in fact, still a public walkway shared with fishermen and, most annoyingly, local hustlers selling jet ski rides, jewellery, and other items, resulting in frequent interruptions that make relaxing difficult.
Overall, this is a pleasant property, but the issue lies with how it is marketed. It is sold and priced as a 5-star resort, comparable to nearby hotels such as the Sheraton, which genuinely meet that standard. While mostly enjoyable, this property does not deliver a true 5-star experience and should not be marketed as such.

VVery Curious ApeTotal 4 buildings. Deluxe Ultimate Rooms, in a 4-storey building at the back, are newer and very beautifully furnished. Deluxe Classic rooms (in 3-storey buildings) look rather old and worn and some of them (in the first building, nearest to the reception, are under renovation). Some construction work is being carried out now next to the reception and in the first hotel building - thankfully, I didn't hear any noise or disturbance from my room. Reception is very drab-looking and dimly lit and the tiny lobby is not a place you wish to hang around. Standard check in time is overly late, at 3 pm. Didn't use the 2 pools as I was there in the rainy season and most days, it rained on and off throughout the day. New hotel restaurant at the back is air-conditioned (there's outdoor dining area too), very clean and exudes great ambience! Buffet breakfast has lots of choices - some of the selections are good (pizza, finger food and some of the hot dishes) while others, like the pastries (limp and cold) and chilled items (pretty but excessively sweet desserts) didn't appeal to me. Wifi was painfully slow and frequently got disconnected in the room - the strongest signals are in the restaurant and reception. Overall, I love the spacious, beautiful and well furnished new Deluxe Ultimate room, the greenery all around and the friendly staff service.

Room felt a bit wet (cause of rain season) and as a following - full of mosquitoes. Bedding and towels are greyish which added to the a bit worn-out feeling.
Food in the restaurant is average although the idea behind it is quite nice, what’s lacking is the execution.
Breakfast is poor, on our last day they run out of eggs, all other food was some kind of a heavy processed food leaving none options to eat except for fruits.
Spa is good, clean and thoughtful massage for a reasonable price.

I don’t know if it was the way everything seemed to run so smoothly, or just the general vibe, but it made me feel comfortable in a way that surprised me. Everyone I interacted with seemed genuinely nice — or at least, it felt that way — which made the stay feel more personal and warm.
There was this sense of everything being thought through. I couldn’t necessarily point to one specific thing that made it stand out, but the combination of everything — the ambiance, the way things were handled, just the overall feeling — made it seem almost effortless. It’s like everything worked together quietly in the background to make the stay good without needing to shout about it.
Even though I can’t name exact details, I had this strong sense throughout my time there that I was being taken care of in a subtle, reassuring way. It wasn’t loud or flashy, just consistently good. The environment felt balanced, almost like it understood exactly how to make guests feel at ease without trying too hard.
I left feeling genuinely happy and strangely relaxed — the kind of feeling that sneaks up on you when everything just… works. And even if I can’t explain every reason why, I know I walked away with a really positive impression. I’d absolutely consider staying here again. Probably more than just consider, honestly.

The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the excellent and friendly staff, who were consistently welcoming and attentive. Their warm service made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They even upgraded our room to be right in front of the swimming pool free of charge, which the kids loved!
The general facilities at the hotel were impressive. From the spacious pool area to the lush, well-maintained gardens, the resort has a tranquil, traditional charm. We particularly enjoyed the sound of the waves gently rolling in throughout the day—it added a wonderfully calming backdrop to our stay. The sunset views from the restaurant and beach were simply stunning, offering a perfect setting for evening meals or a quiet moment of reflection.
Breakfast each morning was a treat, with a good variety of options that catered to both local and international tastes. The food prices across the hotel were reasonable, which made dining in-house convenient and budget-friendly.
That said, there were a few areas that could use some improvement. The furniture in the rooms felt quite outdated, which slightly detracted from the overall comfort. Additionally, there’s no iron provided in the rooms, which was a bit inconvenient for longer stays or guests attending events.
On Saturday evening, we found the music to be excessively loud, going on until about 10pm. While some guests may enjoy the atmosphere, it might not be ideal for those seeking a quieter evening, especially those with kids.
We also noticed some inconsistency in the food quality—what was excellent one day could feel average the next. Moreover, while the beach itself is beautiful, it was often quite dirty due to local fishing activity. To their credit, the hotel staff do make a visible effort to keep it clean.
Another consideration is the lack of nearby amenities. There aren’t any ATMs or money exchange options within walking distance, so guests should plan ahead. Lastly, the hotel does not have lifts, which could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. However, this also contributes to its traditional, resort-style vibe which many will appreciate.
In summary, Jayakarta Lombok offers a relaxing, friendly, and scenic stay that’s ideal for those looking to unwind by the beach. With a few modern updates and consistency improvements, it could be even better.
