"The General's Mansion is very impressive, and a guided tour is a must! Elderly guests would definitely enjoy the hotel's scenic surroundings. The staff quality is a bit inconsistent; some are very warm and positive, while others are completely clueless when asked a question – it really depends on your luck. I want to specifically commend Vicky Wu; thanks to her generosity, my daughter happily got to participate in a sand painting activity that was supposedly fully booked. The butler service was also quite good; although they weren't instant responders, they tried their best to fulfill all requests. The room lighting is a major flaw; it's too dark, perhaps to fit the old mansion atmosphere. The dessert soup was the same for two nights, and when I asked for a change, they gave me sour plum soup 😢, when I actually wanted tremella soup. Breakfast is very rich; I recommend the chicken feet, which are tender and delicious 😋, and they also have 5J ham. While it might not be the most extensive spread, the breakfast quality is excellent. Finally, is it possible to add an outdoor children's playground? I noticed there's a large lawn where they keep rabbits, which would be perfect for slides and climbing frames. Otherwise, the hotel is a bit weak in terms of parent-child activities. The hotel's travel photography service is good; the photographer is great at finding angles, and the photo editing is natural, not the kind that makes you unrecognizable. There was also no aggressive upselling. I actually really admire the owner's dedication to preserving ancient architecture and hope more guests come to experience this hotel."

"The hotel's overall environment is clean and comfortable, the room layout is practical, and the view is absolutely stunning! The bedding is fluffy, soft, and incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were warm and professional, and the check-in process was smooth. The facilities are well-maintained and clean, offering excellent value for money. My stay was a perfect 10/10, and this will be my first choice for future trips – I highly recommend it! My only suggestion would be to upgrade the air conditioning in the rooms; with the current weather, having only heating can make it a bit stuffy."

"When we came to Shaoxing, I suggested staying at an Atour hotel, but my wife wanted something more upscale, so we booked the Tianma Hotel. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helped us with the check-in process every step of the way. They even thoughtfully asked if we needed Wi-Fi. It's definitely a step above an economy hotel like Atour. The breakfast was plentiful, and while our older child exceeded the height limit and cost an extra 88 RMB per person, the food was excellent. We'll definitely stay here again next time."

"Extremely satisfied! I've stayed at the West Lake State Guesthouse and Xizi Hotel multiple times, and this time I visited Shaoxing Hotel, a state guesthouse in a tier-three city. I found it to have its own unique charm, and the check-in experience and value for money were on par with, if not better than, state guesthouses in provincial capitals. If you explore carefully, you'll discover many novelties. Plus, the enthusiastic staff shared many historical anecdotes with us. While the scenery might not have the natural advantages of a provincial capital's state guesthouse, the views near Dai Cafe are absolutely stunning, and Fushan Park is just a stone's throw away. Fan Wenlan's Former Residence is elegant and serene, exuding a pleasant cultural atmosphere. The hotel's Lingxiao Pavilion is classic and quaint, and the Duoshijinliang Bridge has a unique and beautiful design, maintaining an ancient, refined style. The sculpture in the center of the hotel lobby combines ancient and modern elements, making it very interesting. The crystal chandelier is also different from others, with a beautiful name: 'Listening to the Rain on Fushan'. The staff shared all these details with us as if they were cherished treasures. Shaoxing is a city rich in culture, and its state guesthouse is naturally a shining pearl within it. So, our two-day stay was a rich experience. The 68 RMB breakfast was incredibly rich, delicious, and nutritionally balanced. I bought a hotel package, which was great value, including a black-awning boat tour and a complimentary dinner. It also included three quick-edit photos from a travel photography session. The dinner was lavish, with a full sense of ceremony. The new travel photography service was also excellent. My scheduled date was fully booked, but the extended date brought rain and a significant drop in temperature, and I was due to check out. The travel photography customer service helped me arrange a session for 5 PM on my desired day, and the photographer efficiently captured beautiful photos before dark, quickly and skillfully. Both the photographer and the stylist were wonderful, working tirelessly and demonstrating high levels of skill and emotional intelligence."

"Highly recommended this hotel. The hotel is located in the city centre and convinces to the tourists. The room itself is clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet provides many options including western style and Chinese style, also available for local cuisine. The staffs in charge for the breakfast buffet are friendly and provide very good service. Definitely will be back again."

"Cleanliness is very important to me, and this hotel was wonderfully clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My checkout was originally at 12 p.m., but since my flight wasn’t until 9 p.m., I asked at the reception if I could stay in my room until 2 p.m. It was no problem at all. Afterwards, I was able to leave my luggage in the lobby. After a few hours of exploring the city, I came back to the hotel in the afternoon. At the entrance, there was complimentary coffee and tea for guests, and I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee there. I stayed at the hotel until around 6 p.m. and felt very comfortable the entire time. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. The selection was quite large, but it was mostly local-style food. It would be great if there were more Western or international options for guests. There is a beautiful lake near the hotel. Overall, my stay was very pleasant – a clean hotel with friendly staff and good service. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The satisfaction was beyond our expectations. After communicating our needs, the hotel upgraded us to a theme suite when there were no rooms that met our needs due to the full occupancy. We spent a pleasant two-day trip to Shaoxing in a quiet and comfortable manner. It is a short walk to the tourist attraction Lu Xun's hometown, and then you can go directly to Chen Garden. It is convenient to eat and play around. Our first choice is to eat buffet in the hotel, which has more choices. The breakfast is rich and the service attitude is enthusiastic. Come to Shaoxing, stay in Xianheng and have fun!"

"My overall experience was great. The day before check-in, Stephen (Xiao Wu) gave me a heads-up call and proactively upgraded my room. Although there was a minor hiccup right after check-in, the staff were incredibly prompt and efficient in resolving it, which was excellent. A slight disappointment was the absence of a bathtub in the room, and unfortunately, I couldn't make use of the spacious balcony due to the rain, which was a pity. The afternoon tea was excellent. The staff also enthusiastically showed me around the hotel's public areas, demonstrating genuine warmth. My only minor feedback is that the breakfast selection was a bit limited. It reminded me a bit of Atour hotels, but the service and overall quality of offerings were excellent."

"The temperature source hotel is very warm from the beginning of the stay. It tells you how to park for free. The waiting time for the check-in is active. Roasted sweet potatoes are also provided. I have a lot of luggage and help take my luggage to the room. The room is oversized and the area is rich. The room also provides free snacks and drinks. Free mineral water to drink casually, satisfying my little luck of drinking tea. Unlimited dining. Thinking of other hotels, sending (buy) a bottle of water has to be spent for a long time, and the mood is immediately happy, and it feels like picking up a treasure."

"This was my first time visiting the Shaoxing Dayu Kaiyuan Guantang Hotel, and I checked in with great curiosity. As soon as I arrived at the lobby, I was greeted by the warm and polite service of the ladies at the front desk. Check-in was quick, and they provided detailed information about all the hotel's facilities and services, patiently answering all my questions. During my stay, the customer service staff proactively inquired about my experience and needs, showing thoughtful attention that made me feel incredibly warm and comfortable. The hotel itself is a renovated ancient village, featuring small bridges over flowing water, a theater stage, long corridors, stone-paved streets, ancient trees and lush grass, and ancestral halls and courtyards... It perfectly preserves the traces of time, effortlessly evoking a sense of nostalgia and admiration. I absolutely loved everything about this place. The dining at Yujia Courtyard within the hotel was also remarkable. Basically, you can comfortably stay for several days without needing to leave the premises, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful life of a secluded paradise. I feel like I'll definitely be back!"
