"The bungalow was beautiful, thoughtfully designed with local touches, and reflected the property's strong commitment to sustainable tourism. It was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed, and provided a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The resort is design-focused and exudes a tranquil, laid-back vibe. We loved the stunning beach with its crystal-clear waters and the lush greenery surrounding the property. What impressed us most was how the resort consistently maintained a high standard in every aspect of our stay. The food was consistently excellent, with both breakfast and dinner offering a great variety of high-quality, flavourful dishes made from fresh ingredients. The service from the staff was outstanding. The entire Zuri team delivered impeccable hospitality. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. We can't wait to return and reconnect with some of the wonderful people who made our stay so special. Highly recommended!"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An outstanding stay from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with immaculate grounds, spotless rooms, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout. The pools are excellent, there’s always plenty of space to relax, and the beachfront location is stunning. What really made the stay special was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, friendly and genuinely eager to help, always greeting guests with a smile and providing exceptional service. They work incredibly hard and it really shows. The food offered plenty of variety, the facilities were excellent, and everything was organised to a very high standard. It’s clear the hotel takes great pride in delivering a first-class guest experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend RIU Palace Swahili to anyone visiting Zanzibar. A truly memorable holiday."

"After a safari, we spent a few days relaxing in Zanzibar, and this hotel definitely has its pros and cons. Pros: 1. All-inclusive package. You can pretty much eat at any of the 4 restaurants and 5 bars. There's also a free gelato shop and the minibar is complimentary. 2. The food is decent. Jua Grill is highly recommended, the food there is excellent. Unfortunately, when we wanted to order lobster for a second round, it was already sold out. The Asian buffet and the à la carte options at the main restaurant are also good. 3. The ocean water is fantastic, and you can see the private island across the way. Cons: 1. The staff's service attitude is inconsistent; some are great, while others... not so much. 2. Although the hotel has a private beach, it's a popular spot for dolphin tours. This means there are a lot of beach boys trying to sell things on the sand, which isn't ideal for introverts like me. 3. I'm not sure if it's because it's by the sea, but the bedding always seemed to have a faint smell."

"Riu Palace 5* The oldest hotel, If I'm not mistaken, it opened in 2018 with very beautiful grounds, in my opinion. The hotel's cascading layout may be a drawback for some. It's a low-rise building of two-story bungalows, designed in an African style, and townhouse-style houses in the modern style of the Rio hotel chain. The grounds are very beautiful. The landscaping is beautiful in every detail. The grounds are beautifully maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The descent to the ocean/beach is via stairs, but there are several beach areas above offering stunning views. And since this isn't Mount Everest, the stairs and the elevated location add a special touch. A stunning view of the ocean opens up. There are security guards on the stairs and on the beach who keep vendors and other people away, creating a certain privacy for your vacation. After the opening of the Riu Palace Swahili * Adults Only hotel, the concept of the Riu Palace 5* Adults Only hotel changed to a family-friendly hotel. 🙈 The hotel's entertainment: a relaxed atmosphere, a leisurely stay. There is daytime entertainment, but it's unobtrusive. In the evening, there is always music and entertainment. 11-11:30 am lights out. The hotel offers a wide variety of food options, so I won't list all the dishes and products. The aesthetics are everywhere: the table setting, the staff, the presentation of the dishes, the presentation. Friends stayed at the Rio Jumbo hotel, so we had the opportunity to compare the two hotels. The Riu Palace was, and remains, the top choice. Riu Swahili +18 is the third hotel in the Rio chain. It's an adults-only hotel. The buildings are the same high concrete structures as the Rio Jumbo hotel, and the only downside to this hotel is the lack of a full beachfront. The entrance to the ocean is a grand staircase. At high tide, there is no beachfront. It's completely hidden by the ocean, so you can only swim by diving into the ocean's depths from a cliff. Or you can descend the grand staircase to reach the water's edge. Riu Palace is our favorite. In terms of service and room quality, the only downside for us is that it's a family hotel, accommodating guests with children."

"The hotel fell short of 5-star standards due to inconsistent service. Key issues: • Our booked seafront suite was unavailable on the first night due to overbooking (later cited as maintenance), and we were placed in a family house with unused amenities like a kitchen and extra rooms. • Service was lacking: staff were friendly but unhelpful. One left us at the buffet without seating us, and another failed to explain the substitute accommodation’s facilities. Shower gel was missing on the first night. Positives include: • Beautiful seafront suite and restaurant. • Large swimming pool with a scenic view and an enjoyable coached workout session. • Varied breakfast and dinner options. • Manager Maurine was helpful, though she seemed the only one resolving issues. Overall, poor service significantly diminished the experience, falling below 5-star expectations."

"We stayed for two days, from February 13th to 15th. We booked rooms in different locations to experience different views, and both the garden and the ocean views were beautiful. The staff were all friendly and the food was good. However, we had to check out at dawn on the 15th, so we asked the reception, and the staff at the desk during dinner treated us very disappointingly. They made fun of our English pronunciation in a comical way, even though we live in a non-English speaking country. They also told us to go back to our room and get another card because the Mastercard logo was on the card machine, and when we asked them to try paying, they sarcastically asked if it was the right card. Of course, the card machine recognized the card and the payment was made perfectly. I didn't know that it was the management policy of this resort to make fun of customers who are not good at English and treat them like thieves. If I had known, I wouldn't have made a reservation, but except for that problematic staff member, all the staff were friendly and the facilities were satisfactory. I think I need to think more about whether it is worth enduring the ridicule."

"Hotel: Beautiful views and nice arquitecture. On our last day they let us do a free late check out and have dinner and stay at the hotel till 11pm which really shows that the hotel care about their guests. Food: The food is good. The cliff restaurant is very nice and with good dishes. Buffet is quite diverse and you have the BBQ night which is awesome. Something to improve: desserts. Service: All the staff is very nice and friendly. Pools: You have 3/4 different pools with 2 bars which is great to order some drinks. Room: big rooms and very spacious. Bed sheets, towels and matress are quite old. They need to be changed. Gym: Needs an improvement. To close it and are some fan/air conditioner. They should add some running and bike equipment. Beach: Beautiful beach with super crystal water. Something bad is the local people that wants to sell everything at all time. But I guess that is something normal in all Zanzibar. Score: 8,5/10"
