Mountain View Hotels in Yogyakarta

My experience at ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is truly impressive — the digital art installations at the reception area, well chosen art sculptures and paintings, the warm staff greetings, the scent, the atmosphere, the design, and the overall hospitality felt like a real piece of modern art. It sets very high standards for the ARTOTEL chain.

The hotel was clean and comfortable though the mirror was a little dirty when we came in. The location was perfect and convenient as it was near the train station, Sauton palace and right in front of Malioboro street, mall, and plaza. Their service was friendly but they didn't refill the hand soap, shampoo, or coffee until we asked. One day they also forgot to give us a towel so we had to ask them to come and give it to us. Their facilities were good for the most part, apart from the toilet that had no door, the sliding doors that nearly jammed our fingers, and the shower that was rather slippery. Overall the hotel was quite nice, but could do with a few improvements. I recommend it for a convenient stay.

Reasonably priced hotel. Across road, there is a pharmacy, supermarket, nasi padang local dish stall and 15mins walk to Maliboro Street. Hotel breakfast at 80rp...cheap but no variety. Everyday, same food. Hotel transfer 300rp. Reasonable. Overall, very gd for single traveller. Hotel staff very polite.

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The service quality was excellent, from a smooth check-in to check-out process. The room was clean, comfortable, and all the facilities worked well. All the staff were also very helpful and responsive to guest needs. Thank you for the exceptional service.

Everything went smoothly. I was quite satisfied. However, the phone wasn't working, and there were two phones in the room – one by the bed and one in the bathroom near the sink. The towels were also a bit dull and thin; they need to be replaced with better quality ones. The bed was quite soft. We got room number 802, which had a window, but the view was just another room's window directly facing ours. That's all, thank you.

It was comfortable during my 2 night stay. The accommodations have a swimming pool and the rooms are spacious and nice. A perfect contemplation if you just pay a little more attention to cleaning the bathroom.
