Mountain View Hotels in Koh Phangan District

A wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️

We stayed for 3 nights, which felt like more than enough time before heading to Koh Tao. We had plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and take photos everywhere without the crowds of day-trippers. It truly felt like we were on a deserted island! The room had everything we needed: toiletries, hot water, a fridge, a kettle, tea, and coffee. Housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was included, even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. For breakfast, they bring you a sheet where you mark what you'd like them to prepare (the menu is consistent, but you can choose how your eggs are cooked and your coffee – the coffee seemed to be instant). There are two restaurants on the island: one on the hotel premises where breakfast is served, offering European cuisine. The other is further down, near the 'spit,' and serves Thai food with more reasonable prices; day-trippers often ate there. Prices are higher than on Koh Tao for obvious reasons, as there are no shops. However, there's a free daily shuttle to Koh Tao and back, which is convenient for longer stays. For example, a 0.33L beer on the island costs 120 baht, a mango shake is 150 baht, and dishes start from 300+ baht.

Hostel 10/10 ⭐ The hostel offers a lot of activities. There's a shuttle that takes you to the beach at 1:30 PM and picks you up at 4 PM. The beaches change every day, which is a nice touch. There's also a shuttle for sunset viewing at 5:30 PM, returning at 7 PM. Each floor has common areas, which I found to be very clean. The 6-person dorm room was spacious, exactly as pictured. Plus, there's a pool at the hostel. On the downside, the location isn't very lively for nightlife; the parties are on the opposite side of the island. There's no Grab, only taxis starting from 200 baht per ride.

I really liked this hotel. The breakfasts were excellent. You order your main dish as soon as you arrive, and they bring it out in about five minutes. Everything else is buffet style. This hotel is only suitable for those who drive a car or moped. You can rent a moped right there, and the prices are good. They have a selection of Honda Click 125 and 160 models. We rented a moped for the entire week of our stay and got a discount. Just a heads up, the uphill climb isn't for beginners; assess your capabilities and weight, as a 125cc might struggle with two people. There's a path to the beach, but since we had a moped, we never used it. Because the hotel is located high up, we often slept without air conditioning. Our room had a mountain view, and the windows opened and had screens, so we had no mosquitoes. Plus, the balcony wasn't facing a courtyard, so we could relax there peacefully without anyone seeing us. The rooms on the second floor with a pool view have one drawback: you can't open the window in the room. The ones closer to the entrance are better and have openable windows, but people walk right past them, so you'd have to sleep with the curtains drawn. Unfortunately, rooms were only cleaned upon request. It was only towards the end of our stay that we realized we could get water and fresh towels ourselves. Trash by the pool was collected once a day, or even less frequently. Empty bottles and dishes could sit there until the next evening. It was very strange; the entire property was cleaned daily, but the pool area only every other day.

We booked a villa with a private pool for 3 nights, and it was the best decision ever! We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Initially, the jacuzzi wasn't working, but we called reception, and they had someone fix it within 5 minutes. The pool was always sparkling clean, even though stuff was constantly falling from the trees – we still don't know how they managed to keep it so pristine. The breakfasts were delicious, and the beach had beautiful white sand. It was also my birthday during our stay, and the hotel first congratulated me at breakfast, then surprised me by decorating our villa! It was so touching and sweet – that's real attentiveness and care for guests! I wish the hotel all the best and continued success!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was great very modern and clean but the room was very far from the main road and nightlife and restaurants - they did warn on the booking that this room is the furthest away from the beach and they didn't lie. Luckily they have golf carts that can take you to the main road and back 24h but is a bit inconvenient. The pool near my room was very luxurious. I would definitely recommend this room if you're just looking for a place to lay your head while you're taking your time in the day to go snorkeling and diving.

This is a wonderful hotel with a large property featuring several buildings along a path lined with beautiful plants leading to the beach. The grounds include a pool, cafe, bar, and laundry facilities. The property is well-maintained; they sweep fallen leaves and flowers from the paths every morning and tend to the plants. The beach is nice for sitting on the sand and sunbathing, but perhaps not the best for swimming. If you're traveling with small children, it's best to choose a ground-floor room. On the second floor, there are large openings through which a child could fall. Our child wanted to spend a lot of time on the balcony and sometimes even climbed under the bench while playing, and there was just a hole leading outside without a railing. Thankfully, the management was accommodating and switched us to a ground-floor room.

It was ok size for 4 people. Overall comfortable but lack of few details that would have make our stay more enjoyable. There was no: - soap holder - so soap stay on counter being wet - No hand towel or other towel size than bath towel - no hook to hang towel. - No place to dry clothes after the beach. No drying rack on balcony, no clothes line, no nothing - Don't count on having hot water- you can either have hot water or pressure, not both... Overall - the walls of the hotel are so thin, you can hear your neighbors sings, talk, shower, etc... Since people party a lot, they come back late to their room, so with 2 small children, it was very bad as they kept waking up in the middle of the night...Our neighbors were drunk and really noisy...we did not have luck on this one. Will not come back with kids for sure, but maybe with adults only.

The hotel liked the island itself, convenient location, there is a transfer to the pier, in the tide perfectly to swim right opposite the hotel, water and shore clean, in the room clean, large rooms

Hotel was very clean and staff were brilliant, very helpful and close by to everything you need, the pool is also very good.
