Environment and atmosphere:
The hotel is located in Zhuxi Valley, hidden in the sea of bamboo, with independent villas in the north and south. It is like a fairyland in the morning after the rain, and every corner is full of oriental Zen.
Room experience:
The room is 153 square meters, spacious and comfortable, with a hot spring and a swimming pool. The MINI bar is free, and Guangxi Bama 1000 ml mineral water is standard. When checking in, the housekeeper Xiao Guo (Guo Chengxiang) arranged a petal turndown service in advance.
Catering service:
There are many varieties of Western and Chinese breakfast. The package booked by Ctrip gave two meals. I thought the catering would be perfunctory, but it turned out to be amazing! Seasonal bamboo shoots, river shrimp, yellow croaker, Liyang special black rice, etc. are super delicious and memorable.
Details and highlights:
The front desk, restaurant, and room service staff all serve with a smile. Special praise should be given to the 24-hour private butler Xiao Guo (Guo Chengxiang), who was very considerate and responsive. I have to give him a thumbs up.
In short, Zhuxi Valley is worthy of being the top luxury hotel in Jiangsu Province, and it will be the first choice for the next vacation.

11396148****When we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!

Since we don’t speak Chinese, her help was absolutely invaluable—from check-in to handling any requests. She was always available, assisting with translation, recommending restaurants, and even helping with minor everyday issues. Thanks to her, our vacation was completely stress-free and incredibly comfortable.
The hotel itself was also wonderful—clean, with cozy rooms and a great location—but it was the assistant’s attentiveness and professionalism that truly made our stay special. A huge thank you for such a warm welcome!
Not too much westerns food at breakfast, mostly local food.

GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western，asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious.
Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery.
Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy.
Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad.
Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

Practical Comforts: The iron and ironing board were a lifesaver for attire/wrinkled clothes.

Breathtaking river views from the window—especially magical at sunrise and night.

Highlight:The fluffy, made-to-order pancakes were divine—some of the best I’ve had!

Spotless throughout-housekeeping deserves applause.
- Staff were attentive and friendly, always quick to assist.
Final Verdict
This hotel is a gem, whether for business, romance, or a solo getaway. The thoughtful design, gorgeous views, and delicious breakfast make it worth every penny. I’ll absolutely return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Tip: Request a high-floor room for the best river views!

GGuest UserI was so shocked by how big my room was for such a cheap price! The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. Very clean. The staff don’t speak English but it’s no problem as we could use translation apps. They helped me to order food on the delivery app. The location is quite convenient as it’s near to a metro station. I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel and I would definitely stay here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Tianmu Lake Yuhu Peninsula Hot Spring Hotel (天目湖御湖半岛温泉酒店). From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming.
The room was beautifully clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding nature. The hot spring facilities were fantastic — relaxing, clean, and a true highlight of our stay.
A very special thanks to 御湖半岛管家曾怡 (Butler Zeng Yi), who provided outstanding service throughout our stay. She was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her professionalism and warm attitude truly made our trip memorable.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Liyang. We are 100% satisfied and will definitely return in the future!

AAnonymous UserRecommend this hotel. Don't underestimate the old hotel, the service is first-class, much better than many new hotels.
Hygiene: After staying for a few nights, I will do a good job of hygiene every day, change new towels, supplement toilet paper and toothbrushes.
Environment: Sleep quietly at night, pillows have different softness options. It is about ten minutes walk from the subway station and not far from the large shopping mall.
Service: I originally booked a triple room, but in maintenance, we changed a very good large suite, and a double standard room, no extra charge. Four bottles of mineral water will be added every day, and the service is very good.
