GGracjaService: Absolutely perfect, a perfect 100% rating! We were incredibly fortunate to have our butler, Zeng, with us for these three days. He not only upgraded us to a more comfortable and spacious room and suggested travel routes, but also offered a great deal of assistance. For example, when we couldn't hail a taxi on the bridge, he generously came to our rescue and drove us back to the hotel – like a ray of sunshine breaking through the gloomy rain. Furthermore, all the staff, including those in the restaurant, front desk, and housekeeping, demonstrated exceptionally high professionalism throughout these three days. Without exaggeration, based solely on this high-quality service, I would recommend this hotel to anyone in my area who is considering traveling here.
Cleanliness: Although the hotel is probably a bit old, it is very clean and tidy, and I didn't find any hygiene issues.
Environment: Located right on the shore of Tianmu Lake, the sunset over the lake is truly breathtaking, and the surroundings are very quiet. The hot spring water temperature is very comfortable, and cycling is also possible, making it perfect for a vacation or relaxation.
Facilities: The breakfast selection is plentiful; the rice and pork ribs are the best. I suggest adding Western-style breakfast options, such as European-style bread, cheese slices, and ham slices. Due to time constraints, I only experienced the hot springs, which were quite nice. The outdoor hot springs are divided into several different medicinal baths, and hot tea and fruit are provided. However, the outdoor water surface inevitably has some dead branches, fallen leaves, and other impurities floating on it, and you also need to be careful of flying mosquitoes.

Their warm and professional demeanor made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. Song's attention to detail was remarkable, as they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was arranging special requests or providing insightful recommendations, Song's dedication to guest satisfaction was unparalleled.
What stood out the most was their genuine hospitality and the personal touches they added to our experience. It’s rare to encounter someone who takes such pride in their role, and Song is truly a credit to their team.
We wholeheartedly recommend staying here and will certainly return, thanks in large part to the exceptional service from Song Likun.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, nestled among green mountains and overlooking the shimmering Tianmu Lake, giving it a tranquil and comfortable ambiance. It truly is a great spot for relaxation and wellness. We booked a Deluxe Lake View Room, and the hotel even upgraded us for free to a Luxury Lake View Room. The hotel also offers a variety of fun amenities for children, making it perfect for families with kids. What's even more appealing to visitors is the Cloud Top Observation Deck, which offers panoramic views of Tianmu Lake's beautiful scenery, with lush mountains and clear waters as far as the eye can see – truly a feast for the eyes. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast restaurant is grand and situated right by Tianmu Lake. You can enjoy your breakfast while taking in the stunning lake and mountain views, which really enhances your appetite. The Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, with plenty of choices, and the prices are quite reasonable. However, there was one minor disappointment: we wanted to rent the electric scooter with a sidecar located at the entrance of the children's playground. After a series of complicated scanning procedures, the screen displayed that we were over 65 years old and denied us use. How wonderful it would have been to explore the beautiful scenery around the hotel on that electric scooter with a sidecar! We had no problems driving 260 kilometers from Shanghai to the hotel ourselves! We understand that the hotel's concern for the safety of older guests is valid, so we suggest that it would be more accommodating to allow older individuals with a valid driver's license to use it. Overall, this hotel is still very good. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Tianmu Lake in the future.

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserFood: Breakfast was varied, with western，asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious.
Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery.
Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy.
Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad.
Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean.

GGuest UserOverall, it was great! We went during a less busy period, after the holiday rush. It's definitely a business-oriented hotel. The first room we were given had a slight issue, but I reported it to the front desk attendant, Julie, right away, and she quickly resolved it by getting us a new room – big thanks to Julie! There aren't many dining options within walking distance, just one or two, but we didn't get to try them this time due to time constraints. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for a family vacation with my elders in the future! The West Taihu Lake scenery nearby is absolutely stunning, and the hotel breakfast was good too. I'll be back!

MMa1akasOverall, my stay was extremely satisfying. The hotel has a lot of open spaces, perfect for relaxing when you have some downtime. LILY arranged a room for me with excellent natural light, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also great – very quiet and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The late-night noodle dish they recommended was also delicious! Thumbs up!

GGuest UserI was so shocked by how big my room was for such a cheap price! The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. Very clean. The staff don’t speak English but it’s no problem as we could use translation apps. They helped me to order food on the delivery app. The location is quite convenient as it’s near to a metro station. I was really pleasantly surprised by this hotel and I would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hotel room is not big, and it is just around the university town. The transportation is very convenient, and you can eat when you go out. However, the several sockets in the room may have been damaged by someone plugging a hair dryer. I hope they can be repaired as soon as possible.
