GGuest UserThe rooms are tastefully decorated and well-equipped, and the views are absolutely perfect. The restaurant quality is also good, and watching the sunset at the fish bar was a fantastic experience. The staff are all incredibly well-trained, enthusiastic, and professional—it's not just a few individuals, but every single employee is welcoming and ready to assist with anything you need. Marriott's hotel training really shines through here. If I had to nitpick, the hotel sofas are a bit dated and starting to yellow slightly, and while the bed sheets are clean, they also show a bit of age with a slight yellowish tint. On a positive note, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable; I rarely sleep this well in a hotel. This is definitely a highly recommended top-tier hotel in Fiji.

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though. Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available. There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops. The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling! My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

GGuest UserWished we’d stayed longer! We used as a quick 1 night stay before departing for an island stay ferry. However after staying here, we’d recommend staying here and doing day trips to islands. Great location only 10 mins coach journey to the ferry port. One of the best breakfast selections we’ve had anywhere in the world - variety & freshness. Fantastic spacious & clean room, loved that specially filtered meant tap water was available, and the free reusable drinks bottle was a nice touch. Didn’t get to use the pool in such a short time, but it looked lovely. Would highly recommend!

GGuest UserConsidering the price point for Fiji, the accommodation was standard, and I appreciated the bug-proof strips under the room doors. The pool with a slide was a fun bonus. The restaurant food was surprisingly good, and even though there were only one or two servers for orders and delivery, one male staff member was particularly excellent. The three kitchen staff were also very friendly. The location is super convenient for the airport, just a ten-minute walk. You don't hear much airplane noise inside the rooms, but if you're outside when a plane takes off, you'll definitely smell what I assume is exhaust or jet fuel. They offer a free 24-hour airport shuttle, and if you prefer a taxi, there's a taxi company stationed at the front desk, making it easy to hail a cab.

GGuest UserA very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice! The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes. The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible.

EEmanuel ChowWe stayed with Hilton Fiji for our Christmas celebration . We were welcomed with good room service, Christmas cookies, surrounded by nice restaurants and water sport. Awesome live music is played at the restaurant during the weekend night when we were there.

Llp_948Overall, the hotel is beautiful and offers a very pleasant setting. The facilities are well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing. A special mention to the staff, who are always present, smiling, and genuinely willing to help at any time, their service is definitely a strong point of this hotel. However, there was a significant issue regarding the room booking. I had reserved a room with an ocean view, and the photos clearly showed this. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room set far back, with no real ocean view. After speaking with reception, I was told that the photos were inaccurate and that the issue came from Trip. Regardless of whether this is the responsibility of the platform or the hotel, this situation is simply not professional and creates unnecessary disappointment. For those specifically looking for a nice ocean view, this may not be the right place. The water itself is not particularly appealing, as it appears green and not very clear. Access to the hotel is quite unique, as you need to take a small boat (about one minute) to cross from one side to the other, which can be a nice experience but may not suit everyone. Lastly, if your room is located far from the reception area, you will need to rely on golf car to get around the property. Unfortunately, these are not always readily available, which can be inconvenient. In summary, the hotel has great potential thanks to its setting and excellent staff, but some aspects, especially booking accuracy and logistics could be significantly improved.

GGuest UserNo major issues with the stay, and the staff were genuinely lovely and helpful. However, the hotel itself has clearly seen better days, and the aging infrastructure is starting to show. What was most disappointing is that the small details that usually make Mercure a reliable, universal brand were consistently letting us down. For example: Pillows were clean but desperately need replacing — one was purely decorative, and the other was so hard it could have doubled as a car jack. Door handle and its protective plate were loose. Broken light bulbs in both the corridor and the room. Towel rack barely hanging on. Fresh paint stains visible everywhere, including on furniture. Anti-slip mats in common areas (especially the breakfast area) were dirty. Hedges around the pool were untrimmed. Small rubbish and paper left around the pool garden and not cleaned up. Room service trays left in the corridor for over 12 hours. Arrival porch not properly cleaned. Individually these are minor issues, but together they create a strong negative impression. The hotel is showing its age, and it feels like management isn’t doing regular checks to maintain the expected standard. Small things matter — and unfortunately, they added up.

SSerDrePROS: Budget friendly. Located right next to a MacDonald's and multiple shopping spots from Supermarkets, boutiques & restaurants. Walking distance to Bus Stops, and 14 mins drive to Port Denarau. Parking & Gym is complementary. The gym is quite small. Friendly staff and don't forget the roof top bar & pool, spectacular view. CONS: We had a room with a broken shower, water leaked through the bottom tap while the shower head was in use. One of the bath towels provided was not properly washed. WiFi was utterly useless. Mobile Network only worked near the balcony so cannot use your 4G/5G network anywhere else in the room. NOTE! Do not leave your parking spot during events at the hotel, parking was not prioritized for in-house guests, first come first serve basis.

MMeglou28The hotel is in a good location, however the WiFi doesn’t reach the room. The curtains didn’t shut all the way so it was hard to maintain privacy. There also isn’t any food available to buy at the hotel. Bed was comfortable and I had a restful nights sleep.
