Guestrooms are designed to provide an optimal level of comfort with welcoming decor and some offering convenient amenities like complimentary tea, towels, complimentary instant coffee, television LCD/plasma screen, mirror. Entertain the hotel's recreational facilities, including canoe, snorkeling, outdoor pool, fishing, spa. DoubleTree by Hilton Sonaisali Island is an excellent choice from which to explore Nadi or to simply relax and rejuvenate.
"Overall, the hotel is beautiful and offers a very pleasant setting. The facilities are well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing. A special mention to the staff, who are always present, smiling, and genuinely willing to help at any time, their service is definitely a strong point of this hotel.
However, there was a significant issue regarding the room booking. I had reserved a room with an ocean view, and the photos clearly showed this. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room set far back, with no real ocean view. After speaking with reception, I was told that the photos were inaccurate and that the issue came from Trip. Regardless of whether this is the responsibility of the platform or the hotel, this situation is simply not professional and creates unnecessary disappointment.
For those specifically looking for a nice ocean view, this may not be the right place. The water itself is not particularly appealing, as it appears green and not very clear.
Access to the hotel is quite unique, as you need to take a small boat (about one minute) to cross from one side to the other, which can be a nice experience but may not suit everyone.
Lastly, if your room is located far from the reception area, you will need to rely on golf car to get around the property. Unfortunately, these are not always readily available, which can be inconvenient.
In summary, the hotel has great potential thanks to its setting and excellent staff, but some aspects, especially booking accuracy and logistics could be significantly improved."

MM327818****The InterContinental Golf Resort is quite a distance from the city center and the airport. However, if you're not planning to visit the outer islands in Fiji, the InterContinental is probably the best choice. The sea views are much better compared to city hotels, making it a great place for a relaxing vacation.
The breakfast was the highlight of our stay – incredibly varied, and they were always quick to replenish everything, so there were always fresh options available.
The environment was also beautiful and comfortable. The front desk and shuttle bus service provided the best experience.
Lunch and dinner felt a bit less impressive compared to breakfast. On our last night, we got caught in a heavy downpour. The restaurant initially started to leak, and then we had to move to the middle section. We didn't even finish our meal and got wet. The drainage system seemed inadequate; the floor was quickly covered in water, and we had to brave the rain to get back to our room. We asked the restaurant to call a shuttle bus, but they said they were too busy and couldn't help, which resulted in us getting completely soaked. Our shoes were still wet the next day. I hope this can be improved. Overall, it was a good experience.

JJasminlyI loved the luxurious lobby and our room with a beautiful pool view. The beach at night is stunning, especially with the fire decorations. The location is very convenient, being close to the airport, and the food is also good.
However, there were some issues. We called twice for extra towels and to replace a dirty vanity kit in our room, but no one came. Some staff also seemed to take advantage of travelers. For example, we had to wait a long time to get a refund for a drink we bought at the pool bar and could only receive it after repeatedly asking. Additionally, we tried to book an early morning taxi to the airport, but the staff claimed it wasn’t possible because taxis weren’t available at that time. Later, we saw a taxi at the hotel front dropping off a passenger. The staff then quickly came out to say she can book one now.
Overall, while the property and amenities are lovely, service issues affected our experience.

GGuest UserThe rooms are tastefully decorated and well-equipped, and the views are absolutely perfect. The restaurant quality is also good, and watching the sunset at the fish bar was a fantastic experience. The staff are all incredibly well-trained, enthusiastic, and professional—it's not just a few individuals, but every single employee is welcoming and ready to assist with anything you need. Marriott's hotel training really shines through here. If I had to nitpick, the hotel sofas are a bit dated and starting to yellow slightly, and while the bed sheets are clean, they also show a bit of age with a slight yellowish tint. On a positive note, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable; I rarely sleep this well in a hotel. This is definitely a highly recommended top-tier hotel in Fiji.

AAnonymous UserI originally thought that the renovation in 2014 would be very old, so I was very nervous before setting off. But when I arrived, I found that it was much better than the photos. Spacious, bright and comfortable, perfect for our family. The villa and Sheraton Golf share a front desk, and all hotel facilities are also shared. Everything is great and very suitable for vacation. The hotel staff are all warm and friendly. Emele. Tamani, who cleaned our room every day, carefully prepared enough water and tea bags for us. The cleaning was very meticulous and clean, allowing us to have a comfortable holiday.

The service was warm and attentive, with a friendly attitude; both check-in and check-out were smooth. It was great value for money, and I felt relaxed and at ease during my stay. GGuest UserThis is not up to standard with a 5-star resort. Overall it’s a nice stay, but overpriced and don’t go expecting 5-star luxury. It unfortunately has not kept up with the maintenance it has needed over the years.
Negatives
- had aircon issues and slept without aircon, they moved us rooms to fix this
- had a leak above our shower in both tooms
- fridge was broken in both rooms
- lack of pool towels for number of guests, tried getting a pool towel on multiple occasions to be told they were out. When we eventually got some they were stained.
- lack of snorkle gear for guests, we unfortunately couldn’t snorkle because they were always out. We spoke to other guests who went and bought some because they couldn’t get any either
- aircon in rooms is very loud
- internet access drops out constantly
- we couldn’t watch tv as the internet was down for netflix on the tv and we were told we could only watch it on phones or ipads
- food menus in the room are dirty and falling apart

- most of the staff is really friendly
- adults only pool is calm and quiet
- good assortment of activities and things to do in the hotel
- staff is mostly helpful when you need things
We actually tried to refund the end of our stay so we could leave. I wouldn’t recommend it to people and just know if you do stay here it is more like a 3 to 4 star resort.

I arrived at the hotel at 9am, because of the room not yet ready, we wait until at 1pm, the staff said the room is almost check out, will be ready at 2:30pm, we wait for almost 6 hours, until after 3pm, it's the check in time, the staff said the room still not yet ready. OMG... but at last, thank you to Trip.com for resolving the problem; we got a refund for the first night.
2. Room service is really bad; the box of tissues, the shampoo, and the body lotion all need to wait for a day to refill.
3. The lobby is very, very small, does not look like a 5-star hotel, and many people sleep on the sofa; they also wait for a long time to check in.
4. The Fiji Airlines counter is not open all the time, so we had to take the luggage by ourselves and check in at the airport at last.
5. The only good point to stay is that the port is very near, it's convenient for island hopping, and the restaurants are not bad.

LLow Siong Lye 27052025I recently stayed at Gecko's Resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. I especially appreciated the little touches like free DVDs available to borrow – a nice bonus for quiet evenings in.
The location is great too – just a short distance from the beautiful Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Pacific Ocean, so there’s no shortage of things to see and do nearby.
One downside, however, is the Wi-Fi. Access requires a voucher, and if you're streaming videos (like on YouTube), the data only lasts around two hours. This was a bit inconvenient, especially in an age where connectivity is expected to be seamless.
Overall, Gecko's Resort is a great option for a peaceful getaway with a few nice extras. Just be prepared to manage your internet usage or consider unplugging and enjoying the serene surroundings.

GGuest UserThe dorm is on the first floor of the hotel with 22 bed. The dorm room and bathroom are clean and has small lockers to lock your stuff away. The beach is a few steps away from the hotel.

MmoeuIt takes about 2 hours to walk from the airport, so it's better to take a taxi. There is no shampoo, so you need to bring your own. There is an Indian restaurant nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding food. It seems that the security situation is not very good at night, so you will need a taxi to go out.
