Great
AAnonymous UserStaff are friendly & helpful. Location of hotel is a bit hard to get in and out to town bcos of the condition of the road. For about 600 metres, it is bumpy, winding & slopish road. Nice view of MT Kinabalu from hotel. Toilet only has a bottle of 2 in 1; so advisable to bring own shampoo & body wash.
FFlorian63A small stop in mountain near by the Kinabalu mountain. Very simple hotel, old style.
Our night was a bit noisy due to rain, neighbours speaking, some karaoke music somewhere and some baby dogs crying during night. Not our best night during our trip in Malaysia. Small water leak from roof also due to the rain.
The breakfast is very simple, and they were not able to cook eggs because sold out... Need to buy some stuff to the small shop like milk etc for our kids.. disappointed on that point.
It's ok for one night but we would not do it again.
AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent — conveniently located near the main road, making it easy to find and access. Each room comes with its own private balcony, perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning mountain views of Kundasang. We especially enjoyed our time there as we brought along our own camping table and chairs, which made the balcony experience even more enjoyable.
Parking was a breeze — we could park our car right in front of our room, which made unloading luggage super convenient. The on-site café also offered a good variety of food and drinks, whether you’re after a light snack or a satisfying meal.
Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway in Kundasang!
GGuest UserThe hosts are wonderful, friendly people who made our stay comfortable. Our room was a small room with a bed, a table, air conditioning and a combined bathroom. The room is clean. You can order food delivery and it will be delivered fairly quickly, the food is delicious. You can buy coffee, tea, and drinks on site. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrance to Hot Poring Springs, but they can give you a ride for free. There is a transfer to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan. More expensive than Grab, but you can't call a Grab from there. Grab cost us 200 ringgit from Kota Kinabalu, the transfer back cost 300. Don't expect luxury from this place (or from others nearby). It's like visiting your grandmother in the village). Very soulful.
GGuest UserOverall the room is clean, complete with basic kitchen amenities. The room has a spacious balcony which we enjoyed the sunrise view. We can see the Mount KK from main entrance and the back of the resort. Their staff are friendly and helpful. However, the only challenge is to control the water heater temperature 😆.
JJagtish RajendranThe resort offers a quiet, peaceful atmosphere thanks to its scenic location among misty hills and well-maintained gardens. The accommodation provided a clean, functional space with reliable hot water, embodying a simple, rustic mountain aesthetic. While the units are not luxurious, they fully meet the requirements for a comfortable and practical stay. Staff interactions during check-in and check-out were courteous and efficient.
In summary, Fairy Garden Resort serves as an entirely adequate and quiet base for travelers in Kundasang who prioritize essential comfort and a nature-centric setting over extensive modern amenities.

I would like to start my review by complimenting all the staff ,from the receptionist, kitchen staff, to the housekeeping team. All of them truly deserve a 5-star award for their excellent service.
The receptionist, Ms. Liza (if I’m not mistaken), was very kind and welcoming. I arrived at the resort around 2:00 PM without making any prior reservation, yet she patiently showed me every type of room the resort offers. After viewing all the room options, I made my decision, and the check-in process was smooth and easy with clear explanations given.
The room was quite spacious, and an additional bed could be added with a small extra charge. Whenever I needed anything, I just had to make a call, and the staff responded quickly and efficiently.
My stay included breakfast, and the food provided was good. For dinner, the restaurant also offers a variety of dishes, which is very convenient as guests don’t need to drive out to look for food.
That said, I do have a few suggestions for improvement to make the stay even better. The beds could be upgraded, as they felt a bit old and not very comfortable. The Wi-Fi coverage also needs improvement, especially since the CelcomDigi network coverage in the area is quite weak. In addition, the television system could be upgraded. While the resort offers beautiful scenery to enjoy, sometimes the weather doesn’t allow guests to go outside, so having better in-room entertainment would be appreciated.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and truly appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality , I hope to visit again in the future.
NNanaSyakinahWe just wanted to try doing it in a capsule.. but this is the first time we've done it in a capsule.. the place is a bit scary.. but we'll try doing it in a tent later.. everything else is ok..
NNick小叶Mount Kinabalu at 6am will really surprise you😲
We live on the highest floor,
When you open the door and look to the left👀, you can see the whole Mount Kinabalu, and there are no wires or anything else blocking your view of taking photos😍😍😍
When you open the door and look to the right👀, you can see a sea of clouds, and the wind is really comfortable and cool🥶
But there are a lot of small insects in the room, and the bed sheets are not very clean, so they itch..😂
NNorbert JohnThe view is magnificent. You can see the mountain very clear at early morning. The road condition to this place is quite challenging for 2wd vehicle. Extra cafeful during drive is a must cause some of the road is steep and visibility during night is limited especially when its raining. Overall im satisfied with my stay.
