Great
GGuest UserI came here for white sand beach. But in fact beach is so dirty... during 5 days I've been here all days were so many seaweed and plastic in the water. One day I even couldn't swim. Snorkeling is poor as well.
Hotel is clean and nice. But there some things, I didn't like.
1. No shower at the beach.
2. Security doesn't do anything with annoying sellers at the beach. Literally every 3-5 minutes I was distracted by locals selling something. I came here for peace and calm. This is annoying so much
3. I asked at the reception can I take phone and pocket to the beach, they said NOOOO it's not safe. Keep all your things with you. How can I relax in such environment? What exactly security do there then?
4. The price for this hotel equal to Marriott, but quality is not the same. I feel economy through everything. Very thin toilet paper. Diluted soup in washroom. And breakfast ... First time in my life I saw cheese cold cuts size 2×2 centimeters. Literally. I paid a lot for this hotel and don't want feel economy vibe.
5. Evening buffet doesn't work everyday. Yeah, it cost not much... but anyway meat there was with bones or soooo hard to chew. Again this economy vibe🙄 was it hard to take a normal meat? Not the cheapest one
6. Check out at 11 am.... what? I've been at 25 countries and hundreds hotels. This is first time check out so early. I asked for late check out and what they gave me is 1 hour more. So basically just a normal check out time. Insane
7. The quality of drinking water is very bad.
8. Ice for drinks probably made from tap water. It's too bad.
9. I feel pressure from sign near elevators. ”Using the stair promotes good health”. I've got a knee injury, I can't use stairs. Didn't I pay enough to use elevator? Or again you wanna save some electricity? Why to put this sign? Again this economy vibe...
So faithful for this place is 6.5/10
But any sense to come here? Beach is so dirty...
GGuest UserWow - Super hotel. Best hotel I have visited in years. Staff polite, efficient and attentive in a polite way. Room was very large, with some free mini cookies and a few free juices. Food and drinks reasonable. Breakfast had a great range of food. The steak at the restaurant was super They even notified breakfast group I could not take milk. Lots of couples but as a solo traveller felt cared about. From start to finish flawless. Even twice a week one hour of free cocktails. When it rains the staff already start wiping down tables and once eases gardeners are out sweeping the leaves off the pathways to help maintain its beautiful appearance. Seriously impressed
GGuest UserA very good place to stay with good parking area.
The property has a gym, a pingpong table, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, mini collection of books that you can borrow and an elevator.
I enjoy my stay here.
GGuest UserHidden Gem!
I recently stayed at this hotel and was genuinely impressed with every aspect of my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the modern yet warm aesthetics of the property. The design is tasteful, elegant, and incredibly inviting—every corner feels thoughtfully curated, making it a pleasure to walk through the space.
The cleanliness of the entire hotel stood out immediately. From the spotless lobby to the pristine rooms, it's clear the staff takes great pride in maintaining high hygiene standards. The room itself was cozy, fresh, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
One of the best surprises was the affordability. For the quality and ambiance offered, the rates are very reasonable—excellent value for money, especially compared to other places in the area.
The staff deserves a special mention. They were approachable, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether I had questions about local attractions or needed assistance with my booking, their service was top-notch—warm and professional.
Despite being in a peaceful and quiet location (ideal for relaxation or remote work), the hotel is surprisingly accessible. Shops, restaurants, and public transport are all within easy reach, so I never felt isolated or inconvenienced.
All in all, this hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil yet well-connected place to stay. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!
JJia lyonsThis was a nice hotel with a very pleasant staff. The staff were super friendly and always greeted you with a smile. The breakfast was good. The location was in walking distance from a lot of food places. Very affordable and for a decent price they offered a shuttle tour package as well. Would recommend to others. Thanks to all of you we have a very memorable vacation. From Mr and Mrs Lyons
YYellowheadThe hotel is not worth the money. Everything needs renovation. The bed is uncomfortable. The breakfast was COLD and tasteless. I only stayed for one night and I can't recommend it.
UUknowsuke tripFirst of all, the service is perfect. They were very kind. I had to go to the port early in the morning, but they arranged a tuk-tuk for me. I was very grateful for that.
The location is also close to Alona Beach, and if you take a motorbike taxi, it will cost about 50 pesos.
You can also walk there, but it's a bit difficult at night, so I recommend taking a motorbike taxi. There is a very stylish cafe restaurant near the hotel, so please try it.
There were quite a few ants in the room, but it didn't bother me. If you are concerned about them, please use another hotel.
The water pressure in the shower is a little weak, but hot water comes out!
GGuest UserOur family trip was amazing .. very accomodating and friendly staff. Clean and tidy rooms. But 1 thing more, they should have intercom phones in the room so if the guest has any concerns or requests no need to go outside and go to the reception.
Ccharlene maePros:
-Beautiful swimming pool w/lifeguard
-clean room
-Gugma Restaurant serves delicious food
-friendly staff except for that one female front desk in the morning as well as the no show manager
Cons:
-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management
-tricycle/tuktuk will cost you 100 pesos per way PRICEY
-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white strip that were posted on the website
-corkage fee so better to buy at the restaurant at the hotel or eat outside
**AGAIN THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT HOTEL BRANCH WITH DIFFERENT ADDRESSES AND AMENITIES, SO BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING ESPECIALLY IF YOU TRAVEL FOR WORK AND NEEDS WIFI IN THE ROOM.
EEKATERINASkyThe hotel is large, but everything looks like it is being renovated, the furnishings are not new. The staff is responsive, they offered tea, coffee, showed where to get it. It is far from Alon, but there was nothing to choose from.
