This was my first time experiencing such attentive, 'nanny-style' care from a hotel. On our last night, they even specially delivered some local gifts to us. It was truly warm and thoughtful. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Xiao Yi from Guest Services for the meticulous care she provided to my family. This trip to Shantou felt absolutely perfect. Beautiful scenery, delicious food, and then, to top it all off, we encountered such excellent service. It's truly a rare find."

"The hotel room was very clean and cozy, and after checking in, they even offered a complimentary serving of licorice fruit. It's just over a 10-minute walk to Longyan South Road, perfect for a relaxing stroll after dinner. The hotel is conveniently located opposite MixC, right in the bustling city center. The front desk service was excellent; upon arrival, they provided a list of popular local Shantou snacks, and anything I needed was delivered promptly. It's a well-established five-star hotel, and I'll continue to support them as always. (It's also very convenient to get to Xiaogongyuan and the ferry). When in Shantou, you absolutely have to try Xinghua Wuji Beef Hotpot."

"The past few days in Chaozhou have been scorching, with temperatures at 36°C and a 'feels like' temperature of 43°C – absolutely sweltering! The hotel thoughtfully provided an extra power card, so every time I returned drenched in sweat from exploring, the best part was being greeted by a blast of cold air and a chilled bottled water from the mini-fridge – pure bliss! The reception area also had a fridge stocked with plenty of complimentary bottled water, which was a very nice touch. Inside the room, there were some local Chaoshan snacks, which were quite tasty. When I inquired where to buy them, the hotel even had an auntie bring us more to sample – I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is only about 100 meters from Kaiyuan Temple, making it incredibly convenient to walk to attractions like the Ancient City, Guangji Bridge, and Xima Road. I even walked to Guangji Bridge three times in one day and didn't feel tired. There are also plenty of food options and souvenir shops nearby. The room was spotlessly clean, and the pillows were very comfortable. The lovely ladies at reception and the cleaning aunties were all very warm and provided excellent service. Because the heat was so unbearable, I decided last minute to have lunch at the snack shop right next door. I ordered Chaozhou braised platter rice and pig offal kway teow, and to my surprise, they were incredibly delicious – tasting just like traditional home-cooked Chaozhou food. The pig offal kway teow had a light flavor, and for only 15 yuan, it was packed with ingredients; adding black vinegar elevated the taste even further. This hotel is definitely worth recommending!"

"The Shantou Seaview Hotel is a rather large hotel. The rooms are decorated in a typical old-fashioned star-rated hotel style and are quite spacious, clean, and tidy. Currently, it's undergoing renovation, so the lobby is quite messy. However, the hotel staff's attitude is exceptionally good, which makes up for all the hardware shortcomings."

"Plans change unexpectedly. My trip to Jieyang was switched to Shantou, and I booked the Shantou Imperial Hotel on Trip.com just half a day in advance. This isn't my first time staying here; it's a well-established five-star hotel, close to the high-speed rail station and not too far from popular food spots. After booking, I quickly contacted Linna, the butler I'd added on WeChat previously, to arrange a pickup from the high-speed rail. She responded promptly, asking for my train number, arrival time, and the number of people (very reliable!). She told me to just keep an eye out for her call upon arrival. To my surprise and delight, she also arranged a free room upgrade. Plans truly do change. While waiting at Puning high-speed rail station, I was informed that my train would be delayed by about 40 minutes. I contacted Linna immediately to avoid having the hotel car wait unnecessarily, but she informed me that the hotel's pick-up vehicle had already departed. She instructed me to look for a staff member in a red uniform upon arrival. I actually felt a bit bad about the delay. Once the train arrived at Shantou Station, as I exited the gate, I saw a sharp-looking young man in a red uniform standing at the exit, looking directly at our train's exit. We made eye contact instantly. He politely asked for my surname and confirmed some basic check-in information, then enthusiastically helped us with our luggage and guided us to the parking lot to get in the car (it felt quite fancy having a dedicated escort! 😜). During this time, he even called the driver to move to a more convenient pick-up spot to minimize our walking distance. After a few twists and turns, we finally arrived at the hotel. We quickly checked in, dropped off our luggage in the room, and began our culinary adventure. Given that it's an older five-star hotel, I must admit the facilities are a bit dated. The room also had some older fixtures and a faint smell of smoke. While the air conditioning seemed to help, an air purifier would have been even more effective in improving the room's scent. On a positive note, the water pressure in the room was excellent, making for a very comfortable and refreshing shower. The next day, when I contacted Linna to arrange a ride to the high-speed rail station, she was very proactive in communicating and coordinating with hotel management, even though our departure time was quite early (outside the hotel's normal shuttle hours). In the end, she ensured we arrived at the high-speed rail station safely and on time. To sum it up, while the hotel's hardware might not be the absolute best, the attentive and thoughtful service from the staff truly surprised and impressed me. This kind of warm service makes every guest feel genuinely cared for. For future stays in Shantou, I'll most likely choose the Imperial Hotel again. Such excellent service undoubtedly makes every guest feel comfortable and at ease."

"The size of the room very well met the needs of our family of three. The scenery of the 270-degree sea view is nothing to say. The butler service attitude is also good. If there is a problem, it will be solved in time, and the needs raised will be responded quickly. The location is very good to find, except for the far side. But downstairs is the beach, and the surrounding food recommended by the housekeeper is also very cost-effective! So it is very convenient and it is recommended."

"Hands down, the best hotel I've stayed in recently! I consider myself quite picky when it comes to hotels, but this one was simply perfect! First off, it's right by the sea with unbeatable ocean views! As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by a subtle herbal scent. Many hotels use artificial fragrances in their lobbies, but this one has a pleasant, oriental Chinese herbal aroma – it's really soothing. The room was very spacious, clean, and had floor-to-ceiling windows. The front desk service was excellent. They gave us complimentary breakfast and drink vouchers. The executive lounge on the 25th floor offers beautiful views, a great spot to relax! They also have a laundry room, gym, and yoga room, all of which are very clean and spacious. Originally, we stayed for two nights and planned to go to Chaozhou on the third day and stay there. However, this hotel was so comfortable that we ended up coming back from Chaozhou to continue our stay here! If this hotel were in a big city, it would be very expensive. But here, you can enjoy a top-quality hotel at a very reasonable price – excellent value for money. Overall, I highly, highly recommend it! I hope they can maintain this standard, because I definitely want to stay at this hotel again next time I visit Shantou!"
