Barcelona Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"We had a wonderful stay at Catalonia Sagrada Familia. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were polite and always ready to help, which made our stay smooth and enjoyable. The location is great, with easy access to transport and the main attractions. Everything worked perfectly, and we didn't face any issues at all. Overall, it was a relaxing experience, and we would definitely stay here again."

"Slightly over rated but good hotel. Cleanliness, decoration room lightings are 4 star or even better. Big room, big bathroom and garden view was awesome. Breakfast was fabulous. Delicious, tasty and healthy food. Receiption staffs are not very professional probably need training. Guest are not feeling comfortable in the reception area. Lift is narrow for a four star hotel. Kitchen staffs lack of English communication skills cannot match a 4 star. Bed, bed sheets, towels are very good quality. Room and bathroom fittings, Decoration, lights are classy. A good quality iron and iron board was provided as fixed room amenities. Water bottles or drinking water was not provided in the room. That should disqualify 4 star rating."

"The hotel's location is a bit far from the city center, costing around 15-20 euros by taxi. The surrounding area is very quiet, with a large hospital nearby and a bus stop. The hotel offers good value for money."

"I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Barcelona. It's super convenient with the metro and train stations just downstairs, about 100 and 200 meters away respectively. You can get to all the sights and the airport really easily. It's in a proper residential area, and while it might not look as upscale as the Eixample, it feels very safe. There are delicious family-run restaurants nearby, a breakfast spot downstairs (cheaper than the hotel!), and a convenience store. The hotel itself is quite traditional; not super new in terms of decor, but very clean, and the hot water works great. What's really important is that normally in Europe, if you're changing rooms, you can't move your luggage in early and have to repack everything and wait until check-in time. But here, if you just tell the front desk, you can move your bags into the new room the next day – it's brilliant! There's also a small rooftop pool with a pretty nice view. Highly recommend it, ladies! The pictures show the hotel room, the breakfast place downstairs, and a nearby family restaurant (so good 😋)."

"The rooms aren't very soundproof. There's a subway station right downstairs, and taxis are almost always parked near the entrance. There are many different restaurants nearby, and several attractions are within walking distance. The beach is less than a kilometer away."

"I have requested a room in higher floor, far from lift. However I was allocated a room on 1st floor next to lift. The noise in the corridors is loud and some you can hear clearly in late night. Also you can see nothing through the window as it is a wall outside the window. The view is quite bad as you can’t see anything. The location is good, close to Espanya underground station. Airport shuttle bus stop is outside hotel as well. A good restaurant is 1-min walk from hotel. The reception lady and gentleman are very good apart from one wearing glasses. Room service is done pretty well and it is clean. Shower water is hot and strong, which is good. Free luggage storage."

"1970s style hotel, located in a business district, is a prime candidate for renovation. While its surroundings are limited to a few shops and it is far from public transport, the property has good fundamentals. The guest rooms are well proportioned and include a minibar—a welcome amenity, though prices are notably high. It serves as an acceptable, if basic, option for a one or two-night business stay."

"A cozy hotel located in a wonderful neighbourhood of Barcelona. The best aspect of the hotel is the breakfast - one of the best breakfasts I have had in spanish hotels. The swimming pool and jacuzzi is great consisering the small size of the hotel. The soundproofing between rooms could be improved but in general its okay. the beds are comfortable. Workers are helpful."

"This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Barcelona. The breakfast was superb, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the facilities were top-notch. The pool area was a definite highlight, with plenty of handsome guests! Plus, it's conveniently located right next to El Corte Inglés department store. The rooms were excellent too. I'll absolutely be staying here again on my next visit."

"We booked this hotel because it had good reviews and was a good offer price through Trip.com in the off season ( March ) . The hotel is in an excellent location of the Marina and very close to the train station for access into Barcelona. The Hotel is very nice, clean and staffed really well. We were a little disappointed to find that there were additional charges ( 14E per night) for underground parking for 3 nights and the spa facilities were including access to the indoor pool were 12E per day each person. Both these additional costs were not clear when booking and added considerably to the overall cost. The rooms are very well fitted , modern, light, airy and very clean with coffee maker and mini bar fridge. Excellent toilet and shower facilities and we had a sea view ( although it was over the small shipyard with some background electric tools noise during the morning and daytime but only noticeable when the balcony door was open. The biggest issue we had was the hard surface noises from adjoining rooms which were loud and affected sleep. Because the floors and rooms have lots of hard surfaces and foot movement in shoes or placing of things on hard surfaces or items dropped or placed on hard surfaces and doors slamming shut resulted in the noise carrying through. Unfortunately we had people in the next room who weren't very considerate late at night and into the early hours. We cant comment of the food in the hotel as we prefer to miss breakfasts and ate out in Mataro and Barcelona in the evenings but the food and restaurant looked very nice I write this review to give people an informed choice and heads up. Would we use the hotel again ? Probably YES , as we would be aware of the extra charges and would hopefully get a room with more considerate people in adjacent rooms. We have given 5/5 for the hotel in most aspects but only 3/5 for facilities because we felt that access to the indoor pool and sauna etc should have been included in the price of the hotel as it made no difference to them at the off peak period. The indoor pool had hardly anyone using it and the underground garage had half a dozen vehicles parked in it as many people staying at the hotel arrived without cars."
