"I stayed at this small but nice GH for three days. This GH has three four-bed rooms, which is always neatly maintained. Above all, the owner is a very good-natured man with an excellent command of English, who always tries to help his guests with travel tips. I have stayed at many guesthouses around the world over the past four decades. I think the Hostelone is fully worth being recommended. I hope there will be any vacancy when I come back to Ulaanbatar after my trip around Mongolia."

"Conveniently located along Ulaanbaatar's central avenue, near the Bayanzurkh district. Nearby are E-Mart, Narantuul, and Sunday. Parking is available for the hotel's guests (pay per hour) on the building's - 2nd ground floor. The breakfast selection is very limited during the off-peak season."

"I had a pleasant stay at the Ramada Hotel overall. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience smooth from check-in to check-out. The location is a major highlight for me, as it’s very convenient. I had to pick up my husband early in the morning from the airport, and it only took about 45 minutes, which worked out perfectly. There is also a lounge on the top floor, which is a nice feature, although it felt a bit old-fashioned. In fact, the hotel overall has an older style and could benefit from some modernization. The room itself was on the smaller side but still comfortable enough for a short stay. One issue I noticed was with the bathroom ventilation. Even though I was on a non-smoking floor, when I turned on the ventilator, cigarette smoke seemed to come through. Once I turned it off, the smell disappeared. Additionally, we stayed two nights, and housekeeping did not come to make up the room, which was a bit disappointing. This is an area the hotel could improve. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, I would still recommend this hotel for its great service and excellent location."

"Aurora Hotel is a relatively new hotel in Ulaanbaatar, located along Peace Avenue in the western part of UB City. It is about 15mins walk to an Emart and it is also pretty easy to book a taxi/cab using UBcab mobile app to get around as visitors. I highly recommend Aurora Hotel for short visits to Ulaanbaatar, despite it's non-central location. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a decent variety and quality. Khulan Restaurant on the 2nd floor also serves good Mongolian cuisine. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served breakfast in our room during the Tsagaan Sar festival and it was a generous portion. Unfortunately during our visit, the gym and sauna were closed and we weren't able to use them."

"The order was for the entire apartment in a residential complex. The apartment had a washing machine and iron, a kitchen with a stove, oven, and small wine glasses, and a projector in the bedroom. Smoking was allowed on the balcony, and the landlord had placed an ashtray. The apartment smelled nice inside, probably from several types of aromatherapy. Disposable bedding was also provided. I didn't expect that Ulaanbaatar already had heating in October, so it was super warm and hot inside. Overall, it was a good place."

"The hotel was located right across Sukhbataar square and 1 km from State department store which made it really convenient to go around walking. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and the breakfast Buffet had a nice spread of local Mongolian cuisines as well as western options. The Hotel also features 3 bars and a lounge on 23/F with amazing views of the city and nice food. Highly recommended for stay in Ulaanbaatar."

"The reception staff and all the other employees were truly friendly and kind. They were quick and efficient with everything. The bathroom was very clean, and the room itself was spacious. Compared to other hotels of the same category, the price was more affordable, yet the room was larger and more comfortable. This is the first hotel, in my experience, that has handled every aspect of guest comfort and service so thoughtfully and well. Even though I have stayed at many hotels, this one stood out as the friendliest. They were also very understanding and flexible when it came to extending the room during checkout time. Many other hotels tend to rush guests or charge extra immediately, but that was not the case here. I will definitely choose this hotel again whenever I return."

"I was planning to check out the day before, but I liked it so much that I ended up staying for a few nights. The location is great. Also, this is a room in a regular apartment, so the surrounding area is full of regular homes. You can hear the sounds of your neighbors' daily lives, so it's not exactly quiet, but it was nice to get a feel for how Mongolians live up close."

"Firstly, this hotel is Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's highest-rated luxury hotel, and most of its services are of a very high standard. For example, the two male managers who served me on the night of my check-in were professional and friendly, which prompted me to extend my stay for another day at my own expense. The hotel's dining service is also top-notch, both in terms of staff quality and food excellence – truly fantastic. However, on the last day of my extended stay, there were a few incidents that I can't quite get over. Firstly, a female manager, in front of several staff members, questioned whether I had paid for the first two nights. This was not only bad luck during the Chinese New Year, but such an inquiry in public, without regard for the guest's dignity, is truly debatable. Secondly, I trusted the hotel to help me call taxis, one for sightseeing in the morning and another for the airport the next day. The cost was significantly higher, but they explained it, and I accepted. The taxi for sightseeing went smoothly as I booked it on the spot. When I returned to the hotel at noon, no one informed me whether the taxi for the 6 AM airport transfer the next day had been confirmed. I couldn't help but go downstairs to ask if there was a taxi available to the State Department Store. After a staff member made a call, they said the taxi company had no cars available due to the holiday, and I could only walk or try my luck on the street. I was dumbfounded at that moment. I was supposed to leave at 5:50 AM tomorrow, and no one had informed me whether the taxi booking was successful, nor was there a contract or notification. What was I supposed to do? So, I quickly arranged a car through a travel agency for an airport transfer at 5:50 AM the next morning. When I checked out at 5:30 AM the next day, the receptionist told me a car had been booked. It was a very passive situation, and I also had to explain the issue with the room fees from the previous two days. Fortunately, the receptionist that day was very professional and understood my urgency to catch my flight, helping me resolve each issue professionally. Highly commendable!!"

"I stayed at the ibis because I was looking for an international hotel. The hotel was nice. The area the hotel is in is still significantly under development. So there didn’t appear to be a lot of options for going outside and eating. Therefore, I went to the hotel restaurant, which was quite nice. Food was good price was reasonable. The only drawback on this hotel at all is the location if you’re interested in being able to go outside and walk around and see things."
