I booked this hotel after reading the reviews, and it was super clean! The front desk lady was really nice; we arrived early in the morning and she saw how tired we were, so she let us check in ahead of time. I booked a windowless double room, and it was tidied up every day. You can tell the owner puts a lot of effort into running this place. The hotel is very close to People's Square Line 2, Exit 9, just a 5-minute walk. All the popular attractions like Nanjing Road East, Nanjing Road West, The Bund, and Lujiazui are on Line 2. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the International Hotel next door always has a queue. For this price, there's nothing to even think about – just go for it!

The hotel was easy enough to find for a hotel the has a reception on the 4th floor and no signage out front. The location is prime for access to the pedestrian road. Lots of sightseeing and shopping in this area. Short drive to all the key tourist hotspots. Beds were comfortable, staff were great to foreigners like us, breakfast was fine. The only thing of notes was we had no luck using the dryers and resorted to hanging out our clothes in our room. But this is a minor issue and may be operator error. We would stay at the Yitel premium again.

This was our first time in Shanghai, and we stayed at three budget-friendly hotels near Pudong Disney, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and Baoshan Cruise Terminal. This one was, without a doubt, the best value for money among them all.
What impressed me the most was the service. The front desk lady was incredibly kind and patient. When we unexpectedly needed tape, she immediately helped us find some. After checking out, we accidentally left some luggage behind, and the hotel promptly contacted us and proactively assisted with shipping it back. It put our minds completely at ease.
In terms of facilities, it also exceeded our expectations. Although it's a two-star hotel, the room was spotlessly clean, and every detail showed thoughtfulness, easily rivaling three or four-star chains. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. The water pressure was strong, and the hot water was stable, making for a smooth shower experience without the usual water pressure issues common in budget hotels. Additionally, the hotel has a laundry room on the fourth floor and a sunroom for drying clothes on the sixth floor, so there's no need to worry about laundry during a multi-day stay.
If you're traveling to Shanghai and looking for a comfortable stay with attentive service within your budget, I highly recommend this hotel.

It took me a long time to choose a hotel for our first stay in Shanghai, and I am so pleased with Chalet Hotel as our stay! The location is so convenient and close to many shops and The Bund. The hotel itself is comfortable and full of amenities. The shower was nice and had plenty of hot water. Honestly, one of the best stays I’ve had while traveling in a major city considering the price, location, and service. The hotel staff were always accommodating and Lin Feng at the front desk made sure our check out and hotel pick up for the airport went smoothly. I don’t think I’d want to stay anywhere else near the Bund after experiencing Chalet Hotel. And the food delivery robot was a cute plus!

the hotel’s location is relatively convenient and very accessible to location like nanjingroad. the staff here also also very friendly to help. though the history of this hotel is long but the room is clean and comfortable. i also ordered delivery and it will be sent via robot and buy taobao to this hotel, where they can help receive the parcel. overall is a very good experience.

This year, we decided to book our New Year's Eve dinner at the Radisson, and to save ourselves the hassle of traveling back and forth, we decided to stay there as well.
JUDY called me a day in advance to ask about my room preferences, which eased my anxiety and built up my anticipation for the stay.
We booked a Deluxe Suite, facing south towards People's Park, offering a really great view. The room was very tidy, with a living room and bedroom, and a standard double bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, but no bidet. Although the hotel isn't new, it's clear that the room facilities are very well-maintained. The shower brand is Radisson's own, and it worked quite well.
Room service is also worth mentioning; their response time was very quick, and they offered turndown service. We also received complimentary welcome fruits.
The hotel's location is excellent. You don't even need to go outside to access New World City directly, making shopping and dining very convenient. We had lunch on the 8th and 9th floors of New World City for the past few days.
Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is right outside. On New Year's Eve, we went to Nanjing Road and the Bund, experiencing Shanghai's New Year's atmosphere up close, which was a rare treat.
The breakfast was very plentiful, and I was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite crystal cakes.
The lack of free parking was a bit unexpected. While it might be due to the location, other hotels I've stayed at recently, like the Conrad and Peace Hotel, also have excellent locations but offer free parking. However, the parking garage entrance is very narrow, and the turns are quite tight, which could be challenging for less-skilled drivers. So, it's probably best not to drive if you can avoid it.
This was my first stay at a Radisson Group hotel, and it left a very positive impression on me.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Metro Line 1, literally just a glass door away, which is incredibly convenient. It's only one stop from Nanjing Road, two stops from the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the Bund is also very close. The service was excellent too; they even gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room, and there's complimentary late-night supper. The entrance is a bit unassuming, but inside, it's really nice, spacious, and very clean. Ordering takeout is also super easy. Definitely recommend!

This was our first family trip to Shanghai. We are Thai tourists traveling as a family of 8 people and stayed at Ji Hotel for 4 nights based on online reviews.
When we first arrived around 11:00 a.m. to leave our luggage, we met a male staff member. He was difficult to understand and did not seem to make much effort to communicate clearly. His attitude also appeared somewhat unhappy to provide service (I observed this from how he treated me and others). However, there was a female staff member who kindly helped us with communication and assisted with luggage storage.
Later, when we returned to check in, we met a new staff member named 阳坤. His service was excellent—polite, well-mannered, and professional. Even though communication was not easy, he always tried his best to find solutions and understand the customers. He helped us in every possible way, from room services to assisting with applications.
On the last day, when we checked out, we met 阳坤 again, and he continued to provide great service until the very end. I purchased 4 pieces of hand soap from the hotel, and he also helped me get a good price using my WeChat membership.
Everyone in our group was very impressed with 阳坤. I would like the company to recognize him as an excellent example of outstanding service for all branches. I also want the company to know that if I return to Shanghai and choose to stay at Ji Hotel (Shanghai People’s Square Branch) again, it will be because of 阳坤.

Overall Experience:
My stay was defined by a feeling of tranquil escape. The hotel's greatest strength is its atmosphere. Being in a historic building tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighborhood just off the famous Nanjing Road created a perfect balance. I could easily walk to the buzz and shopping, but returned each time to a serene, garden-filled sanctuary. It felt more like a peaceful retreat than a standard city hotel.
Service:
The service was consistently attentive and polite. Staff were professional and quick to help with requests. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. While the service wasn't overly familiar, it was reliably good and matched the hotel's calm, understated style. I felt well taken care of.
Facilities:
The facilities are well curated but compact, focusing on quality over quantity.

WWOK666First off, being pet-friendly is a huge plus! The exterior has a vintage feel, while the interior is beautifully decorated in a French style. The bed was super comfortable, and the butler was very welcoming and responsive. There's complimentary coffee in the lobby, which tasted great. We also received two cocktail vouchers for the rooftop bar; the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. It's clear that OPARTMENT's management and team put a lot of effort into everything. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai.

GGuest UserWe booked this homestay for our family for our child's birthday party. The experience was super good, the pictures and text matched. We will stay here again next time!
✨[First glance when entering the room] Very spacious, good lighting, good ventilation, north-south transparency
🙋[To the landlord, I want to say] The reply was very timely. He patiently accompanied me to find my lost items, but it turned out to be a mistake. Thank you🥹
💡[A little surprise from the B&B] The bed is very comfortable and very suitable for a family trip
📍[Regarding the convenience of the surrounding area, I would say] It is very convenient. Nanjing Road is just downstairs. It is convenient to go anywhere in this area where every inch of land is valuable.
🛏[I must mention the house facilities] The sofa is very big and the table is very spacious. The whole family is satisfied with the stay. It is a very comfortable experience

NnadjoysThe hotel is conveniently located near Nanjing Street, making it easy to get around and explore the area. There is a convenience store close by, which is very handy for quick purchases. For Muslim travelers, there is a halal restaurant nearby called Nizam, which is a big plus.
The room was quite small and really only suitable for sleeping. The walls are not soundproof, so noise can be an issue—light sleepers may find it uncomfortable. Overall, it’s an okay option for a short stay if location is your priority

HHuangyiWe stayed at a hotel apartment with my child during the summer break. We chose the nearby Plus Hotel, which has a great location. The soundproofing was excellent, so it was completely quiet. Our loft room was very spacious and had ample storage. Overall, it offered excellent value for money. We'd definitely prioritize staying here again if we visit the Bund in the future.

TTian_tianThe room was clean, the service was warm, and the surrounding environment was very quiet. I would definitely stay here again next year. The main reason is that the front desk staff were very welcoming and didn't talk too much; I really liked the place. I didn't take any photos at the time, but the room was basically the same as the pictures the hotel had posted.

GGuest UserBeing located close to Nanjing East Road, it's incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Given its prime location, we didn't expect a huge room, but it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable – you could tell the cleaning was done with great care. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful, patiently answering all our questions. Accommodation is such a vital part of any trip, and this charming little place truly made our stay even more delightful.
