Hotels in Pudong International Airport Area, Shanghai

They offer shuttle service to and from the airport. My flight arrived at Pudong past 11 PM, so I called the hotel and they told me to wait at Gate 29 on the 3rd floor for the 12 AM shuttle. They even gave me the license plate number and took my phone number, saying the driver would contact me. There's also a convenience store near the hotel, which is super handy, highly recommend! And the front desk staff, especially the young lady working the night shift on August 27-28, was absolutely wonderful! Her service was excellent, very patient. Give the boss a raise! I'll definitely stay here again. Great value for money!

This is an excellent transit hotel under the InterContinental brand, perfect for a layover before an early flight or after a red-eye, thanks to its complimentary shuttle service to and from Pudong Airport. The rooms are simple and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is stable. It offers a breakfast buffet and a self-service laundry room, making it a great value for money for a stopover.

The hotel's location is excellent; after collecting my luggage, it was easy to find by following the signs. Even though it was late at night, every hotel staff member I encountered on the way in greeted me warmly and asked if I needed help with my luggage to the room. I was very pleased with their attitude and service. Check-in at the front desk was also very quick, clearly to allow guests to get to their rooms and rest as soon as possible, which was very thoughtful. The hotel environment was clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, and the breakfast staff were warm and friendly. Food items were replenished promptly. Overall, I was very satisfied. It was a great experience for a business stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

This hotel is quite convenient; you can walk to both Pudong Airport terminals. There are also plenty of dining options downstairs. Getting around is a breeze. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the service is professional. It's definitely my top choice for business trips when I need to catch a flight.

Vienna International Hotel has been my go-to hotel for many stays. As an established chain, it consistently maintains its standard: a generously sized desk, ample counter space for toiletries, conveniently placed power outlets, and a separate tea station all contribute to a truly comfortable stay. Perhaps due to its older construction, there are a few design elements that could be improved. For instance, while the room isn't small, there isn't a suitable spot for large luggage. The clothes rail is installed too close to the wall, causing hangers to lean awkwardly. Also, the toilet paper holder isn't in a very convenient position to reach. These are minor points that could be considered during the next renovation. Of course, the friendly staff (front desk, customer service, restaurant) and the abundant breakfast always make for a pleasant stay, and that's definitely worth mentioning.

Had a fantastic stay! Arrived very late, but the front desk staff, especially Ms. 10, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She even upgraded me to a quieter and more spacious room, which was a lovely surprise. The driver was also very kind and responsible, helping with my luggage. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-designed, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel breakfast was also excellent with a great variety of options. I'll definitely be rebooking here on my next trip to Pudong!

They offer free airport pickup, and the driver even helped us with our luggage. The hotel staff, including the management and front desk, were very welcoming and helpful. It offers great value for money. As soon as we arrived, the driver even poured us hot water. All the hotel staff greeted us with a smile, which brightened our trip. There's an elevator, and it's very secure; you need your room key card to go upstairs. The room was comfortable, and the disposable amenities were complete. There's even a screen on the window.

If it's not too crowded, the service and staying in the room are generally quite good. However, it seems they don't really consider room preferences. If you need a quiet space, they might put you on the same floor as families with children, and you can hear their crying and screaming (which is incredibly disruptive). In the mornings, you can hear people opening and closing doors, and even adults yelling at their kids very clearly. In the middle of the night, you can distinctly hear people shouting loudly outside the hotel from the bar on the first floor (even with the windows tightly shut). Nonetheless, for a business trip, the environment and price are indeed quite good. It's just that these situations can make it hard to get a good night's sleep. In terms of cleanliness, it's generally good, but I did notice a very slight dip compared to my last stay. When the cleaning staff were cleaning other rooms with the doors open, they'd gather together and talk loudly, and they'd make a lot of noise when putting things down. There was some yellowish grime on the bathroom floor, and the rinsing cup was cloudy (though a quick rinse with water fixed it). If you report issues, they are handled properly. Sometimes delivery robots bring takeout, and other times it's a person, which can feel a little awkward.

I can't speak about location because I arrived at night and it was my first time. It felt very far from the airport but I had a free shuttle so that's a win. The hotel is SPOTLESS. The room was amazing. For the price, in the US I'd pay a minimum of 150 a night. 4 bottles of water in the room, 2 room temp and 2 in the fridge. A TV with your name on it! It was just overall a VIP experience to be honest. The breakfast is a standard holiday inn breakfast. There's a variety of things. A little section with American food but obviously mostly Chinese food which was awesome. I don't remember the names of stuff I had but I dabbled and had fun. Would stay again in the future for sure coming from the airport. I think it's close to Disneyland but again I don't know for sure. And they have free shuttles going there too.

The staff is exceptional, they offered us a packed breakfast before we even asked, knowing that we would depart to the airport before breakfast would be served. They also accommodated our request to change rooms, due to the issues I expose below, and made sure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The only problem is building 2, namely the horrible smell in the corridors, and the room layout. The common areas smell like vomit, cat urine, and spoiled milk. I don’t know if it’s the old carpet, but the stench is unbearable. Another problem is the bathroom without walls. There’s a toilet literally in the middle of the room…. We requested to be moved to a different room, which was in building 1. Much better and much more normal.
