"I chose this hotel because I had heard it offers great views and is conveniently located near many attractions, including Tunjungan Plaza.
However, despite booking a non-smoking room, I was informed upon arrival that only smoking rooms were available. Unfortunately, the cigarette smell throughout the corridor and inside the room was very strong and difficult to tolerate. I considered moving to another room, but since I was only staying for one night, I decided to stay. The staff offered to spray the room with air freshener, but it did not help much.
I also tried to adjust the room temperature but could not find the AC remote. It think the hotel uses a central AC system, and the thermostat in the room was missing some buttons, which did not look good.
On the positive side, the breakfast was great, with a lot of options, and the view was indeed very nice."

Guest UserHotel is connected to a mall. Great location. Room is clean. Breakfast at Magnolia has an extensive spread. Quality of food is good, nice presentation and service by staff is excellent. Ambience at Club lounge is nice. What stands out most in this 5* hotel is the world class service rendered by all staff consistently. There is no staff that isn’t polite or helpful. Many go the extra mile to ensure that the hotel guests needs are well taken care of. Special thanks to Evan of the Club Lounge who attended to us when we checked in and Tian when we checked out, Bayu and colleagues (Conceige) who assisted us with ordering of Spikoe lapis cake and Bu Rudy, Lita and David (Magnolia) who served us at our table and Bastian and team for keeping the room clean. We highly recommend this hotel.

The environment is stunning. I had expected rain for my trip, but the weather turned out to be perfect, and I got to see some beautiful scenery.
The hotel has a pool, which is fantastic for anyone who loves to swim. I was on a business trip, so unfortunately, I didn't have time to enjoy it.
The staff's service attitude was exceptional. What impressed me most was that every morning at breakfast, they remembered my name when they saw me.
It was a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely be back here the next time I visit Surabaya.
Breakfast was also delicious.

Guest UserI had an unexpected overnight stay and requested a non-smoking room. When I checked in around midnight, the service was quick, and I was immediately given a room. Thankfully, the room was clean and didn't smell. The next morning, check-out was also swift, so the online taxi waiting for me didn't have to wait long.

JoereenThis is always our preferred hotel whenever we visit Surabaya. We love the unique jungle-like atmosphere in the middle of the city—it feels peaceful, relaxing, and is a wonderful escape from the busy surroundings.
The location is excellent, with easy access to many places. Although the hotel is a little older and some areas could be better maintained, it still has its own charm that keeps us coming back.
For us, the relaxing ambience is what makes this hotel special, and we always enjoy staying here.

Very good hotel. The service and staff are some of the best i have seen so far. The taste of the food included in the breakfast is very good to. Rooms are clean and the housekeeping doesnt mess with your stuff when your not there.
The only stuff i can think of this hotel could improve on is stuff others mentioned before already:
Very loud traffic,some of the drivers think they are valentino rossi.. so some more soundproofing would be recommended. The airconditioning is ok in deluxe premiere and higher rooms,i booked a deluxe double wich ment me and my girl were being cooked alive but the staff upgraded our room to deluxe premiere for free wich was absolutely very nice of them. The water pressure is ok but could be a little higher. And the food despite tasting very good is being held warm on electri hotplates but they need to set these to a higher temperature for some of the food so that its still warm after it has left the kitchen.
Final verdict: 4.5 stars out of 5 and would recommend this hotel to others but as foreigner who struggles with indonesian temperatures i recommend you book a deluxe premiere or better room.

A very good vintage hotel in Surabaya Old Tiown. Loca yes just across Taman Sejarah and near Jembatan Merah.
The service is excellent, when I got a warm welcoming letter and a plate of chocolate cake.

QinggaosuzenmezoudaozhongdianIt was decent. Hot water was hard to come by at night, usually just lukewarm. The hotel's ground floor restaurant had good food and was reasonably priced. It's in the city center of Surabaya, close to the mall, which is convenient for shopping.
