The bed was very comfortable! Furthermore, we had a great time here together and slept well!❤️"

GGuest UserThe staff was amazing, helping everywhere they could. The place itself is awesome, and the beach and the wharf being this close is very cool.
The pool's tiles are a bit dirsty and aometimes you can see mold between them, that would be nice to get rid of, and even though the place is pretty expensive, kayak or boar or stand-up paddle are for rent for pretty high prices (1000php an hour), and not just free for guests of the hotel like is usual, making my head tilt. Massage prices about 5times the normal rate as well. Strange.
It would also be amazing if we could enter the rooms with the room key from the pool side when it's a pool view, but that ship has sailed when they built the place, hah.
As i said though, staff auper nice and helpful about anything. Place really nice and cozy. Beach super pretty and sky amazing at night.
Recommended for some luxury stays :)

They surprised us by singing 'Happy Birthday' without any of us knowing, and it caught us completely off guard. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back in the future. AAizzyCleHad a great experience in Astoria. Was welcomed by their friendly and helpful staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and everyone is willing to help may it be with queries or directions and even with taking your great photos in the resort. The rooms were clean, and homey. Rooms are equipped with microwaves and table wares for when you order room service. The resort has great amenities and you will not get bored with activities you can do during your stay. Their breakfast buffet is something we look forward to every morning. They serve delicious and freshly cooked food. They have fast and reliable WiFi for those who work on the go. It was a stay I would remember and recommend all the time.

BBlade.around.the.worldUniversity /University dorm partially turned into a hotel with minimal investment. The result is mostly positive. The hotel is very photogenic so it's easy to get the impression that it's much more swanky than it actually is.. I enjoyed my stay, the staff is friendly, it's clean, surrounded by greenery and nice views. Don't let the name Hotel Palacio fool you, don't expect a palace, the hotel is modest but comfortable. Location wise, it's out of town which was no problem for me as I had prearranged a motorbike during my 7 days stay. For those pending on jeepney public transport or tricycle taxis, places like the baywalk are far away. The van I had organised to the airport early morning with the receptionist was punctually waiting for me. Everything was good. Expect a 3 star property and you won't be disappointed.

AAnonymous UserThis place is fantastic! Location-wise, it’s really great. It’s very near the city’s commercial establishments and great restaurants - 5-minute drive on average. It’s also near the airport. The neighborhood in which it is in is very quiet and peaceful. So if you want a place that’s very accessible but still in a quiet location, this hotel is for you.
I also would like to commend the staff - they’re all very warm and friendly. They were very accommodating and gladly answered all our questions about our travel.
This hotel has a resort vibe so you really get to relax. It has great amenities, a lovely pool, and a relaxing main reception hall with a billiard table and comfy couches. It also has an in-house restaurant which is great for those who don’t want to go out to dine. Our room was very clean, cozy and surprisingly large for its price.
We would definitely book this place again when we visit Puerto Princesa in the future. Definitely worth the price! 🫶

LLupereaThe toilet is very old and had no water pressure. The food in their restaurant is expensive and not very abundant. The decorative figures are too much, too many wooden animals statues, but okay, it’s 15 minutes away from the airport and we only stayed a night. The staff is very kind.

PPeter KunzlerBasic hotel at reasonable cost on Gabinete road. The Rovia hotel is quiet, has no restaurant, however, you will find plenty of local eateries in the Barangay Bancao-bancao. About 600 metres from the fishing port. You can swim in the sea there.
Nobody told us:- Rovia hotel swimming facilities are best in the area, partially shaded by overhead screens. Adult pool great for practising technique and stamina. Kiddies pool bigger than most local hotel adult pools. Lots of local children pay to swim in the pools on weekends.
Air conditioning works fine, bathroom sink has no drain plug, shower is quite nice. Kettle in the hallway for coffee. Wi-Fi disappears during the night, though. No fridge in our room, but great balcony facing the morning sunrise. TV is average. Ideal for small families with many excursions. We booked a second stay of 11 days in February 2024.

GGuest UserThe beach view is definitely amazing that was the only reason I think why Microtel excel from different hotel in palawan. The facilities is very old, rooms are dark, the aircon is very loud and noisy same with the exhaust fan in the comfort room which is very disturbing. I hope management will take a look in the renovation of the property, the view and excellent and having a good facilities will complement it.
Also, the hotel concessionaire is really not good, menus for breakfast is only limited and yet not all are available, only few menus and choices. ”CANTINA” Please improve your services is too bad.

VVanCitadel (the name of one of the owners) is probably the ”best for the money” mini-resort in Puerto Princesa! My room had a king bed, was comfortable and included satellite TV, a fridge and sink area. The grounds a pool are clean, neat and look great. The pool is amazing for a property size. Even though the Citadel is located 1.5km away from one of the main roads and the Robinson's Mall there are small food stores nearby for basic needs. It's easy to get a tricycle from the road near the property to just about anywhere in the Puerto area. Do ask one of the locals what the fare should be to the placey you want to go.
Francois and Citadel, the owners are very nice and helpful. You will enjoy your at the Citadel!
BONUS TIP: Just up the road (north) to the left is a food store and cafe on the right side of the road. Inside is a dental office run by Dr Joy Zapanta. She offers a full range of dental services. I got my teeth cleaned for about US$20. I could see dental tourism as a future business for Dr Joy. Enjoy your stay at the Citaldel and get all your dental work done!
