Facilities: The hotel is a bit old, so the room door wouldn't stay open when pushed, which made it inconvenient to enter or exit with luggage. The facilities and equipment definitely need careful maintenance.
Service: When I first booked, I already noted that I wanted a room far from the elevator and requested a baby bed rail and a footstool. When I checked in at the front desk, I forgot to ask again. When I entered the room and found they weren't there, I called to request them. Initially, I was told that due to high demand during the holiday, the bed rail wasn't available. After I explained that I had already made a note during my advance booking and had even reconfirmed these needs when the hotel called me a few days prior, they managed to resolve it for me. So, 'busy holiday' isn't an excuse; the hotel needs to improve all aspects of its service to match the holiday price.

The rooms are spread out, but electric carts are always on standby, saving you the hassle of walking, especially with luggage.

Had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip with my good friends and their families.
Regarding service: Our butler, Cindy, was always online and ready to help. The engineering uncle braved the heavy rain to set up the projector for the kids and greeted us warmly the next day. Xu Chenhao from the activities department was a warm and engaging young man, teaching us kayaking techniques, sharing the resort's development story, and taking beautiful photos for every family. The children's club staff were also very welcoming, inviting us to try out various fitness equipment.
Regarding cleanliness: Housekeeping was prompt and thorough.
Regarding dining: The Chinese restaurant was quite good. However, breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options. By 10 AM, they almost stopped restocking food.
Suggestion: Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but then told the third room was locked, effectively making it no upgrade at all. They only reluctantly opened it after we complained. I suggest training the front desk staff on what a room upgrade actually means. I am very satisfied with this trip. The young couple runs this homestay. They love cleanliness very much, so the room is very clean. The interior design is very simple and generous, yet avant-garde. The toilets in the bathroom are all equipped with automatic ultraviolet disinfection, which is not necessarily possible in many high-end hotels. The beautiful and petite young lady is enthusiastic and capable. She also took many beautiful photos for us and secretly recorded a short video for us, which is very touching. The handsome young man is very efficient, caring, and has good eyesight. When we came, the elderly had difficulty walking and needed to adjust the room. He helped to move all the luggage down. When we left, he helped to help the elderly go up and down the stairs. In today's society, being able to do these things is very touching. The breakfast is also very rich. Although the journey is less than two days, the whole family is very happy, especially the two 85-year-old elderly people. They can't put down the beautiful photos taken by the young lady. On October 3rd, unsure where to go, my friend and I decided on a staycation at Le Méridien Suzhou Bay. It rained for both days, so we spent the entire time relaxing at the hotel.
**Facilities:** The room was quite spacious, and we even got upgraded to a lake-view room with panoramic views of Taihu Lake right from our window. The bathroom was also large, with a double vanity and a well-designed three-section separation. The overall decor had a French flair, which felt more atmospheric than the business-like style of a Marriott. The pool wasn't huge, but there was a children's hot spring pool, which was enough for kids to enjoy. The gym also overlooked the lake, offering a pleasant environment, though the billiards table required a fee and a wait – 68 yuan per hour.
**Hygiene:** Overall good, but the room might have had a slight damp smell due to its proximity to the lake.
**Environment:** Le Méridien is right on the Taihu Lake in Suzhou Bay. As a resort hotel under Marriott, its facilities are quite impressive. The lobby is on the third floor, and upon entering, you're greeted with unobstructed lake views. Even though it was rainy, it was still very calming.
**Service:** During our stay, we noticed some dust on the headboard, which was problematic for someone with dust mite allergies. The duty manager, Patrick, came to inspect it. He was proactive in resolving the issue without deflecting blame, offering us complimentary lunch and a small cake for the day, and also extending our check-out time to 3:30 PM. The hotel offers three types of accommodations: the villa area, Wanghu Tower, and VIP Tower! Wanghu Tower and VIP Tower are closer to East Taihu Lake, but the villa area is very quiet, each having its own advantages. The breakfast for the villa area is separate from the other two. Honestly, for a hotel in this price range, the breakfast offers very poor value for money because the variety is limited and the taste isn't great!From€101

My stay at W Suzhou this time completely exceeded my expectations. The location is definitely the biggest highlight, as it's connected to Suzhou Center, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of Jinji Lake. Watching the lights come on in the evening, with the Gate of the Orient against the lake's nightscape, was incredibly soothing.
The design isn't just a collection of '网红' (internet-famous) elements; it cleverly incorporates traditional Suzhou elements like window lattice patterns and ink wash paintings into a modern style. You can really see the attention to detail.
The bed was very comfortable, and the room had good soundproofing, so I wasn't disturbed by hallway noise.
As for the service, check-in was smooth, and when I needed extra amenities, the response was very quick. The breakfast selection was extensive, with freshly cooked Suzhou-style noodles that tasted very authentic.
The hotel also has a pool and a gym, and WOOBAR in the evening had a fantastic atmosphere.From€130

I booked this hotel last week, and I stumbled upon it by chance. I thought it would be a very ordinary old hotel, but I was shocked as soon as I walked in. The facade is incredibly grand, truly on par with established five-star hotels.
I arrived at the hotel before noon, thinking I wouldn't be able to check in, but to my surprise, the front desk enthusiastically informed me that there was a room available, and they processed my check-in right away. They even upgraded me to a business floor.
The hotel has three elevators, which are very efficient. I stayed on the 10th floor, and it was incredibly quiet. I slept soundly until morning. The room's curtains also blocked out light very well, and the room itself was large and spacious.
There's a laundry room and a gym on the 5th and 4th floors. I have a small suggestion: it would be great to add two more washing machines to the laundry room, as there were quite a lot of people doing laundry on the weekend, and I had to wait a long time without getting a turn. However, this wouldn't affect someone staying for just a day or two.
When checking out, the front desk kindly offered bottled water. It was truly a very satisfying stay!From€31

I've stayed at four Park Hyatt hotels in China, and while I appreciate the brand, the quality varies among them. Recently, I visited Suzhou and stayed at the Park Hyatt Suzhou. The personalized service, starting from the butler, to the front desk, housekeeping, and the pick-up/drop-off at the entrance, was all satisfactory. Interacting and communicating with them left me feeling very pleasant, which was excellent! The room layout was unique compared to other standard hotels, feeling especially spacious and comfortable. It was easy to move around and had a distinctive style. The furniture and equipment layout showcased exceptional craftsmanship, truly providing a wonderful space. What I liked even more were the numerous art sculptures within the hotel, especially the cute and interesting small fish, snails, and dragonflies at the entrance of each room. Inside the rooms, there were also lively small birds and chubby, endearing birds, which enhanced the hotel's artistic ambiance and highlighted the unique qualities of the Park Hyatt brand. The hotel's breakfast quality was also quite good; I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was very fond of and satisfied with the Park Hyatt Suzhou, and I will definitely return! The environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying.
What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.From€48

I was lucky enough to stay in a Ferris Wheel View Executive Suite for 3 days and 2 nights during the National Day holiday, and it was a very enjoyable trip!~
1️⃣ **Location:**
The hotel's location is super convenient! It's close to Exits 3 and 4 of Times Square Metro Station. Across the street, there's also Shin Kong Place and Eslite Spectrum.
2️⃣ **Room Experience:**
True to its 110 square meters, the living room is really huge.
I especially loved the bedroom; it's practically a 180-degree view. Lying on the left side, you can see the Ferris wheel and the traffic, and lying on the right, you can see Shin Kong Place and the Gate of the Orient – absolutely fantastic!~
The minibar's drinks and capsule coffee machine were good 😌 and they provided plenty of Nongfu Spring water. During turn-down service, they didn't proactively offer to refill the water, but the attendant noticed two or three bottles had been consumed and immediately helped replenish them. Thank you 🙏
3️⃣ **Club Lounge Afternoon Tea and Dinner:**
This trip was primarily a staycation, so we mostly ate at the hotel. I was initially worried that dinner wouldn't be enough, but the dishes were plentiful and varied, and they were refilled very quickly! I'm not sure if the variety and quantity are limited to holidays, so please keep that in mind for reference.~
**Club Lounge Afternoon Tea 15:00-17:00**
Salad, fruit, fries, popcorn chicken, and desserts. On the first day, there was sushi; on the second day, it was cucumber bread with tuna.
The snack jars contained cranberry cookies, chocolate cookies, kaki no tane (persimmon seeds), and rice crackers.
**Dinner Happy Hour 18:00-20:00**
6 hot dishes, 6 cold dishes, 2 soups, 2 steamed dishes (millet cakes or dumplings/buns), bread, sushi, salad, small cakes, as well as freshly squeezed juice and alcoholic beverages.
The menu was different on both days and very rich. The slightly peppercorn-flavored 'shui zhu niu rou' (boiled beef) and the very sour tomato vegetable soup were absolutely delicious 🤤🤤
The overall design of the Club Lounge is also very beautiful. If you arrive ten minutes early for meals, you can usually get a window seat, offering a distant view of Jinji Lake at night. I was even lucky enough to capture the Gate of the Orient during a pink sunset!~
4️⃣ **Breakfast:**
The 2F restaurant offers a wide variety, including freshly made noodles and rice vermicelli, pan-fried buns, doufuhua (tofu pudding), and yu tiao (fried dough sticks), etc. – all steaming hot and very appetizing. I highly recommend the smoked mackerel and seafood congee!
The 'currently occupied' signs on the tables are a thoughtful touch! You don't have to worry about your seat being taken when you leave to get food.
5️⃣ **Service:**
The staff are all very friendly and greet you with a smile. When going down the elevator, they intentionally didn't share it with guests, which was a very considerate and humbling detail.
Check-in only took a few minutes, and red date tea was offered nearby. I was unsure if the Executive Suite included breakfast at 2F, so I asked, and to my surprise, the front desk staff immediately offered it as a complimentary extra. I forgot to check his name tag, but I'm truly grateful!~
The pre-arrival phone call was a thoughtful touch. Thanks to Susu for the quick response and for arranging for the attendant to clean during a specific time slot!~

This is an older 5-star hotel located in the old town. While the facilities are a bit dated, the service is still excellent. The hotel breakfast offers a great variety, and both the swimming pool and gym are very good. Since I was traveling with my elderly family members to Suzhou, I made a few requests when booking the room, and the front desk went above and beyond to assist us, which I greatly appreciate 🙏. I would definitely choose to stay at the Marriott again if I have the chance to visit Suzhou in the future!From€69

I initially thought that traveling during the holidays would mean a limited experience due to the crowds. But after one night's stay, oh my goodness, I absolutely recommend it!
The room design was great, and the open-plan bathtub was incredibly comfortable. When I inquired about a bathtub liner, the hotel explained it was due to environmental protection initiatives from 2020, discontinuing single-use items, which I completely support and understand. The in-room amenities like toothbrushes and combs were genuinely eco-friendly. It's rare to find a hotel that truly commits to being green these days! I'm sure some people might not understand this, as it might feel like an inconvenience to them.
Later, when I went to the front desk to extend our stay for another night, I met Manager Aimee. She was absolutely wonderful and incredibly professional, making my family feel so warm and cared for. She helped us with the extension process and also introduced us to the hotel's facilities and restaurants. Following her recommendation, we tried Xi Yuan – which I heard received Michelin recognition this year – and the dishes and ambiance were indeed very satisfying. I think the dining service could improve its flexibility and efficiency a bit more, though!
Special thanks to Aimee for giving us such a unique and wonderful stay experience, and also to all the friendly staff members who greeted us throughout the hotel. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance!From€100

The hotel is quite new, and the family rooms even have a kids' play area on the same floor. The hygiene is excellent. It's located right across from the high-speed train station, just a 5-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel service is exceptionally thoughtful. We had to leave at 6:20 AM to catch our train and would miss breakfast, so the front desk packed us breakfast for two adults and one child. Took my kids to Suzhou Tongli Lake Hotel for a weekend stay. Their logo is a hoopoe bird, and the experience exceeded our expectations!
The room was new, spotless, and thoughtfully detailed, making our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The family-friendly facilities were fantastic: outdoors, you can feed bunnies, and the kids' play area was clean and safe – my child didn't want to leave! The heated pool had crystal-clear water, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy.
The buffet offered fresh, diverse, and delicious food with plenty of choices.
On Sunday morning, we did a travel photoshoot in the Suzhou-style garden right next to the hotel. With its white walls, dark-tiled roofs, winding corridors, and ornate windows, every step offered a picturesque scene.

I brought my daughter to Suzhou this weekend and stayed at a hotel again. This time, we chose the Nikko Hotel in Shishan, and the actual experience was fantastic, highly recommended! Even my daughter said she wants to keep staying here in the future. Parking was very convenient for self-driving, with plenty of spaces, and there were several fast-charging stations on the ground level, which was handy for charging. As soon as we entered the lobby, the hotel's scent was very refreshing. The room was spacious, and the view from the window was superb. The shower had great water pressure, and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel's pool and sauna facilities were also excellent. Plus, there are plenty of attractions and dining options nearby. great little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.From€66
