"My family had a mixed experience at this hotel for 7 days of visiting Amsterdam in June 2026.
We were cordially greeted by receptionists and the first impression of the room was clean and spacious, although there was a distinctive odour coming from the shower booth, probably due to a plumbing issue.
We purchased the breakfast and it was well prepared from the kitchen. The breakfast buffet menu was same in the last 6 days.
One problem has occurred with shredded glasses in the room. I suspect that the care taker dropped glass cups onto the floor while my family went outside of the hotel. It was briefly cleaned up and caused many debris of glass pieces remaining onto the floor, inside of my family’s shoes and even shower. The incident was not reported to us, no messages at all. My spouse and I accidentally stepped onto the glass pieces, unfortunately. The safety protocol was not professional, but the receptionist changed our room immediately. There was no communication from the manager, thought it was reported through the receptionist.
The location was great as the bus stop is two minutes away from the hotel. There is a grocery store called Lidl in front of the hotel.
In the last day, Thursday June 25th, there was a huge social party happening at the ground level of the hotel, and the music was playing until the night. My kids were not able to sleep due to the excessive level of noise."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very convenient. It is within walking distance of most tourist attractions in the city center. The hotel staff are very polite and the room is cleaned every day. It is a hotel that I highly recommend. I will definitely stay here next time👍
HHypnoseWaldorf Astoria Amsterdam. The location is perfect, right by the Herengracht, in an old European house. It is 1.2-1.5 kilometers away from several major museums, and within 20 minutes' walk (the three-story canal and the cute little bridges every few steps and the chocolate-like little houses on the shore make the journey even shorter). The service is first-class, the breakfast is very good, the smoked salmon and ham are all made by themselves, and the taste is very good, but the room meals are hard to describe 😭; the room hygiene is also absolutely standard, there is no trace of uncleanliness on the floor, bathtub, shower room, countertop, or anywhere in the light white bathroom, and the cleaning staff are still so elusive (just like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); the bathroom is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, just placed there; basically, except for the price, there is nothing wrong with it ~ I will consider staying here again next time I come to Amsterdam.

Great
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam. The location is excellent — very convenient and close to many attractions, restaurants, and transport options, making it easy to explore Amsterdam.
The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel very welcomed throughout our stay. The room was also very clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Unfortunately, we missed the chance to try the hotel breakfast this round, but we will definitely be back again to experience it on our next stay!
Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Jjujurizthis hotel is a lifesaver if you have a concert at Ziggo Dome until late at night! The breakfast spread is quite limited, not many savoury options, its just pastries and make ur own yogurt mix and make ur own omelette with an automated coffee stand. And its also expensive (£45 for two pax, its probably because we didnt opt for it tgt with our booking as we decided last minute to go down for breakfast). The room is very cozy. Overall nice stay.
SShay_xI would definitely come back here again! The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and the amenities were great. The room had a yoga mat, full size ironing board and an iron. On the rainy days they even offered umbrellas to take and use for the day. We needed the heating turned up in our room and within minutes it was resolved. Location is great being a few minutes walk from Amsterdam Central station
Wwilson yeuI hope this message finds you well. My wife and I together with a boy, recently had the pleasure of staying at NL Hotel for three days and two nights, and we wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity during our visit.
After enduring a long holiday journey that resulted in leg injuries for both of us, your thoughtful gesture of upgrading us to a room with lift access truly made a significant difference to our comfort and well-being. Your attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed, and we deeply appreciate it.
The hotel’s convenient location near Leidseplein, with its vibrant selection of dining options, made our stay all the more enjoyable and memorable. Your efforts not only enhanced our experience at NL Hotel but also left us with a lasting impression of your exceptional hospitality.
Thank you once again for your kindness and support. We look forward to staying at your hotel again in the future and will certainly recommend it to our friends and family.
WWayne GardenOn arrival at 12.00 midday, we were told the room was ready which we didn’t expect. We were quite excited until we were told we had to pay 30 euro if we wanted to check in then. We said no thanks we’ll come back at 2pm and pay nothing. What a rort!! Never experienced that before!
When we finally got to room it was very nice. Good location. You can either walk 30 min or catch tram into city from down the road.
GGuest UserWe spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserGood location for centre of Amsterdam stay. The stairs are really narrow and steep but that's normal for Amsterdam! There is an old lift available but I didn't use it.
It is really run down but it's cheap and ideal for one or two nights.
€50 security deposit required when you check in and pay the city tax, they refund you within 24 hours of checkout. I gave them cash so I got it back straight away.
GGuest UserThis hotel's breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of options, and you can also order items. The food was delicious and it was my favorite breakfast restaurant on my European trip. I miss it so much!
The hotel was originally a converted 18th- or 19th-century ship ticket and warehouse building. It's full of character and a sense of history.
The hotel is about five minutes from the center of town, with a small canal next to it and a large river flowing in front of it. It's perfect for me, who prefers a city-friendly lifestyle without the crowds.
I forgot to bring an adapter this time and asked to borrow one from the hotel. They only sell it, not lend it. This was a first for me. However, when it rained, they were happy to lend me an umbrella.
In front of the hotel, on the river, there's a Chinese restaurant that looks like a palace on the sea, with exquisite decor.
