We had lunch and dinner at Gutai Restaurant, and ordered meals through the WeChat group and the butler. If you want to try Qiandao Lake Couchfish, you must make a reservation one day in advance because it is limited in supply and I didn’t get to try it. I recommend the baked pumpkin with mayonnaise, the braised pork with quinoa, and the homemade sauerkraut and fried pork intestines.

Negatives: 😕 Location 📍you can’t hike or explore anywhere around this hotel. You are essentially stuck to this property. All activities are at least 30min-2 hour drive away. Room design 🛏️ I included this in the photos, the bed is on a wooden stand with sharp edges and it’s very easily to run into it and forget it’s there. My bf and I both hit our shins pretty hard on it, it was painful. Drinks🥂 it was my birthday and I wanted to enjoy some cocktails or champagne with this view, but you are limited to beer 🍺 only. Just bottled Budweiser and Tsingtao. Overall, I’d stay again if I wanted to relax in peace for the weekend. Bring your own alcohol.
