This is a stunning guesthouse, nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery of Qiandao Lake. And it truly is a picturesque lakeside retreat! I discovered that due to an extended bay, when the wind blows, two sections of water merge, creating two shimmering reflections on the surface, a serene and beautiful scene. The courtyard is spacious and well-designed; the owners clearly put a lot of thought into it, perhaps not just to attract tourists, but also to please themselves, as everything is incredibly comfortable. I spent two nights relaxing on a poolside lounge chair, gazing at the stars, enjoying the cool evening breeze – pure bliss. Dinner tasted like home cooking, with carefully selected ingredients and methods. The nearby rafting is fantastic; the owner's wife gave me an unbeatable tip – the water ladle is definitely the best weapon! 😂 I'm already looking forward to bringing my family back!

All accommodations are private villas, offering spacious interiors and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame the lake views. The lakeside bathtub adds a touch of luxurious ambiance, and the amenities are thoughtfully selected. Privacy is excellent. Our butler, Eva, provided meticulous and attentive service, responding promptly to all our needs. The resort offers a shuttle service for getting around the expansive property, and the infinity pool is stunning for photos. Guests can also enjoy water activities like paddleboarding. The hotel is a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle; wake up to misty lake mornings and enjoy peaceful sunsets over the water, fully immersing yourself in the quiet serenity of nature. For our self-driving trip from Hangzhou, the large size of the resort meant waiting for the shuttle to get around. Overall, it's an ideal place for a relaxing getaway, and perfect for couples and families seeking a peaceful retreat. 👍

I'm so glad I chose the Intercontinental Qiandao Lake, Shilin for this stay. Our two-day hotel trip perfectly met the vacation needs of my entire family, from the youngest to the oldest. The hotel's location and environment are superb. Although it's a bit far from the high-speed rail station, its exclusive spot on the Xianshan Peninsula allowed us to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. We ate all our meals at the hotel for two consecutive days. The Chinese restaurant's flavors were unexpectedly delicious, and the breakfast quality at the all-day Western restaurant was also very high. Ordering noodles and coffee by scanning a QR code was a very thoughtful touch. During our meals, staff members even came to ask about our dining experience and handed out small gifts, making for a great interactive experience. The hotel offers a rich schedule of activities throughout the day, including hiking, sound therapy, and lake tours, so there's never a dull moment. Our butler, Jolie, provided attentive and thoughtful service. She patiently answered all our questions and requests, making it the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Eleven people stayed for five days and the overall feeling was very good. Facilities: The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Environment: The trails on the island are quiet and the air is fresh. Outside the window, the lakes and mountains are panoramic. Hygienic: The indoor and outdoor environment is clean, and the living is comfortable and comfortable. Service: Thank you very much butler! The attitude is very kind, the service is very warm and thoughtful, no matter day or night, on call to solve the problem in time, let us spend a pleasant five days in Qiandao Lake.

First off, the hotel room was very clean, and the bed was huge, 1.35*2 meters. It could be combined, perfect for two adults and two children! The King Koil mattress made for a wonderfully comfortable sleep. The hotel environment is excellent, offering lake views and featuring a large lawn, an outdoor pool, and a super-sized indoor kids' play area. There are also many parent-child activities, like making traditional Chinese medicine sachets and baking bread in a kiln, which were fantastic! Even on a rainy day, we weren't bored staying at the hotel. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful; knowing we had a baby, they provided a bed rail and upgraded us to a lake-view room. The breakfast was plentiful, and both my older and younger kids loved it. The hotel is very close to the Southeast Lake Scenic Area, the Botanical Garden, Tianyu Mountain, and Lan Yue Secret Realm, which is super convenient! The only slight drawback is that the on-site Chinese lunch and dinner could be a little bit better.

We took our child to Qiandao Lake, and initially booked the Fairfield. To our surprise, it had issues with safety and hygiene. We reluctantly stayed one night and then decisively checked out early. We then found the Novotel, and as soon as we entered the lobby, it felt much better. It was spacious and clean, and Xiaoxiong, who checked us in, had an incredibly good attitude. The room also felt great. Xiaoxiong modestly said our room didn't have a lake view, but it actually did! Our child needed to do summer homework and check in afterward, so we asked Xiaoxiong for a chair and a lamp. She brought them very quickly. She proactively and patiently answered any questions we had – thank you! The Novotel's pool also deserves high praise. It's large and very well-maintained, clean and free of debris. The water depth is 1.5m, which is a bit deep for children, so kids who can't swim can go to the 0.5m splash area downstairs. The kids' club is also bigger than expected. Even if it rains and you can't go out, kids can play there for an hour or two and won't get bored at all. If I had to pick a flaw, it might be that the breakfast could be slightly more abundant. However, for this value for money, we really can't ask for more! (Avoid Fairfield Qiandao Lake! Influencer recommendations really aren't reliable, absolutely don't go! Unless you don't mind dirty toilets and bath mats; or your child falling off the bed in the middle of the night because the bed and frame aren't secure and slide around; or your rhinitis acting up because the pillows smell bad!)

The hotel is on Wenxin Island, an independent island in the middle of the lake, surrounded by water on all sides. You park your car at the pier and take a shuttle bus to the island. I was immediately struck by the scenery upon arrival: a 270° lake view, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a spacious balcony. The sunset in the evening painted the lake in shades of orange and pink. There's no need to jostle with crowds at scenic spots; you can capture stunning photos right from the hotel terrace. The art-style lobby, old movie theme, spiral staircase, and art installations create a strong ambiance and are very photogenic. 🛏️ Rooms and Hardware: Views are Top-Notch, Facilities are a Bit Old • Pros: The room was spacious, the bedding was soft, and there was a large bathtub on the balcony. Opening the window revealed the lake, and on rainy days, snuggling in the room to watch the misty Thousand Island Lake was peaceful and therapeutic. The service attitude was good, the shuttle bus was available on call, and basic requests were quickly addressed. • Cons: 1. Facilities are noticeably old: The decor, furniture, door locks, bathroom fixtures, and TV all show their age. There are clear signs of wear and tear, and some details look quite dated. 2. Heavy dampness: Being on an island and with frequent rain during Qingming, the room, hallway, and carpet all had a musty smell. Clothes didn't dry, and the duvet felt a bit damp to the touch. 3. Gym is practically useless: The space is small, the equipment is severely aged, chipped, and makes loud noises, making it virtually impossible to get a proper workout. 💰 Price Complaint: Severe Holiday Surcharge The Qingming holiday surcharge was outrageously high, nearly 500 RMB more per night than on weekdays. The price doesn't match the hardware, and the value for money plummets. Recent reviews over the past month also frequently complain about the steep price hikes on weekends/holidays, suggesting that only off-peak prices are reasonable. 🍽️ Dining and Surroundings Breakfast was decent and filling. Spring is rainy, and the island is humid, so bring dehumidifier packets and quick-drying clothes. 3. Be sure to choose a lake view room when checking in; the scenery is vastly different. 4. Strongly recommend going off-peak; the value for money is much better on weekdays.

I have always wanted to experience the beauty of Qiandao Lake. It was my birthday so I rewarded myself with a trip to Qiandao Lake. For such a leisurely vacation, the choice of homestay is so important! Yungu Songjian Homestay was planted as soon as I saw its pictures. It is surrounded by mountains and has a white two-story building. It has a unique atmosphere even on rainy days. It also has a large swimming pool. It is also very good for taking photos at night. The afternoon tea is exquisite and delicious. They can also provide full meals. They are all authentic specialties. They are delicious and tasty. The staff of the homestay are very enthusiastic. They will take the initiative to ask about your needs and everything is arranged properly! You can feel the kindness and warmth. This really gave me a great experience of the trip to Qiandao Lake!

I specifically chose the Brettonwood Resort for my trip to Qiandao Lake this time, and the overall stay exceeded my expectations – it was absolutely fantastic! Our butler, Mei Mei, was incredibly attentive and deserves a special shout-out! The hotel's location is excellent; I could enjoy the stunning lake and mountain views right from my window. In the mornings, there was a beautiful mist, and in the evenings, gorgeous sunsets. The scenery was truly breathtaking. The front desk staff were warm and patient, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Any requests were handled promptly. The resort grounds are serene and elegant, with lush greenery and even a petting zoo. The kids absolutely loved feeding the peacocks, ducks, bunnies, foxes, raccoons, and piglets. It's also very pet-friendly. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety, especially the noodle and vermicelli station with a wide selection of condiments. They even had homemade chili and ginger, which was a real treat for spice lovers. Parking for self-drivers is convenient, and it's particularly well-suited for family vacations. This will be my top choice for Qiandao Lake; I'll definitely be back!

The most delightful surprise of our entire trip to Thousand Island Lake was our stay at Burrett. The hotel boasts prime lakefront views, lush gardens, and picturesque scenery everywhere—it’s far from the hustle and bustle of the city and incredibly peaceful. The grounds are well-maintained, and the environment is clean and elegant. Zhang at the front desk was warm and welcoming, providing thoughtful and attentive service while efficiently handling check-in and check-out. The guest rooms featured first-class views and met high standards of cleanliness. Falling asleep to the sights of the lake and mountains made for a perfect and relaxing vacation.
