Guest UserOkay, so we went during the national holiday so I appreciate that the prices were higher than normal but I really feel like for the amount paid, it just wasn’t worth it. The room amenities were lacking and didn’t include basic things like conditioner (which were listed as included on Trip) so when we asked for some, the very lovely staff rallied to find us some small travel bottles but they weren’t great so we ended up buying our own (limited options because it’s far out). The breakfast was okay but the choice was limited and the tables were always a bit sticky and unclean- and the coffee machine was terrible... It’s a shame, the staff really were very nice and helpful but the hotel prices just don’t match what you get. The pool was closed, the bed was loud and squeaky, the tables in the room were different from the photos- balcony was half the size, sofa was stained and dirty…again not terrible but really not worth the high price paid.

ECNU-My three-day, two-night stay was the perfect introduction to a resort-style hotel. Both the hotel's facilities and services were impeccable! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
✅ First, let's praise the hotel's excellent location: who knew the exclusive access to Xan Shan Peninsula was such a privilege?!
(Pictures 1-16 show the hotel facilities and surroundings, unedited photos)
The hotel also boasts a very large garden and surrounding attractions perfect for photoshohoots. It's just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Within a few minutes' walk, you can reach Xan Shan Botanical Garden (honestly, not much to see, but there are daily parent-child activities), Lover's Gorge (great for couples to take photos), the hotel's exclusive lighthouse (Picture 7, very atmospheric), and the hotel's seasonal fruit orchard (high parent-child interaction, with different fruits available for picking in different seasons).
When the weather is good, you can take many beautiful scenic photos. When it's cloudy or rainy, you can experience the unique humidity of the Jiangnan region and the fresh air provided by the lush vegetation.
✅ Next, let's talk about the hotel facilities.
The hotel is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C. Building B offers the best lake views, with a complete panorama of the lake's beauty. The layout is very reasonable, with convenient connections between all areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design.
The indoor and outdoor pools are regularly disinfected with chlorine balls, and the water is clear and sparkling, perfect for children to play in. The hotel also has a swim shop with affordable items, which is very convenient for guests who haven't brought all their swimming gear.
Every day, the hotel has an activity schedule listing the names and locations of various parent-child activities at different times throughout the day. There's a wide variety to choose from.
There's also a super large indoor children's playground, which is cleaned very, very thoroughly. I really want to thank the cleaning staff for their hard work here.
✅ Dining (Pictures 18-19)
The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant, offering a rich and diverse selection. Set meals can also be purchased in advance on your phone. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to nearby farmhouse restaurants (PS: the prices are very, very, very affordable, and the vegetables are freshly grown and incredibly fresh).
The most commendable aspect of the dining is the complimentary breakfast buffet. The variety is incredibly extensive, and they even adjust the dishes daily to better cater to different guests' preferences. Soups, desserts, freshly squeezed juices, freshly made guokui (griddle cakes), mini-hamburgers, and more! You can also scan a QR code to order noodles and freshly made wontons. I always end up eating too much every day, darn it!
❗️They even consider the need for liquid food for infants and provide various flavors of rice cereal.
In addition, whether it's the minibar in the room and the complimentary welcome drinks (Qiandao Lake beer), the incredibly seasonal, crisp, and sweet fruits, or the thoughtful turndown service, every detail showcases the hotel's humanistic care. It's truly commendable (Picture 17).
✅ The absolute most praiseworthy aspect is the high-end, meticulous, and thoughtful service staff. Special thanks to: Ada and Joey at the front desk for check-in, Connor and Cindy from concierge, and our butler Landy.
As soon as we got out of the car, concierge Cindy greeted us warmly and proactively helped with our luggage, leaving a deep impression. The young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was also very enthusiastic in confirming our booking and upgraded our room for free.
Throughout our stay, Connor drove us to and from nearby restaurants, the lighthouse, and Lover's Gorge. He was practically on duty all day until 10 PM, driving steadily and with a truly excellent attitude. He was super cool!
Finally, and most importantly, our very, very responsible butler, Landy. She first introduced us to the locations and functions of the different venues, and informed us of the breakfast times. From the moment we added her as a friend, she consistently upheld her initial message: ”Please contact me anytime with any questions.” Whether it was day or night, she would respond and answer immediately to any query, booking vehicles, and even introducing nearby attractions and routes (with accompanying pictures for us to decide whether to visit).
During our stay, there was a miscommunication during the cleaning staff's shift change. We had requested no cleaning the day before, but someone still entered the room and tidied it thoroughly. This unannounced entry made us a bit anxious when we returned to the room in the evening. Our butler immediately called us to calm us down and quickly contacted housekeeping. Soon after, we learned it was a thoughtful turndown service. We had initially considered contacting the duty manager to investigate, but we declined. This butler Landy truly, truly deserves praise. Her immediate contact and quick resolution smoothed over the issue, and left us with an extremely satisfying three-day, two-night experience.
Her warm and thoughtful greetings every evening and morning made us deeply feel the hotel's excellent staff training and abundant humanistic care! 👏🏻
See you next time, Freedom Intercontinental Palace!

Guest UserWe stayed in a twin room, and it was quite spacious. The hotel is very well-maintained, living up to its reputation as a family-friendly hotel; we didn't even need to leave all day. In the morning, before it got too hot, we went to the non-powered playground, then to the pet park to feed the animals. We also happened to catch a clown show, which the kids loved! Afterward, we went swimming in the pool; there's both an indoor and outdoor one, catering to both younger and older children. The lobby had various welcome balloons, and they even gave us little gifts like mosquito repellent bracelets. We'll definitely be back!

Guest UserFirst off, let's talk about the location. The hotel is in an extremely remote area, to the point where you can't even get a taxi. Several times, drivers asked for an additional fee for the return trip, and later a driver told me that no one wants to go there because they'll definitely have to return empty. Delivery services can't reach it either, so if you're craving bubble tea, coffee, or any other drinks, you're out of luck and can only rely on what the hotel offers. If you absolutely have to go, it's only suitable for self-driving, but even then, it's a 20km drive to the city center, which is very inconvenient. Plus, if it rains, the roads leading there are prone to falling rocks, making it a bit dangerous.
Now, regarding the hotel's pool. For such a large pool, there are only 6 chairs in the adult section and just 2 in the kids' section, so most people end up standing. After someone uses a chair by the pool, no cleaning staff immediately comes to tidy up, so cigarette butts and water bottles are left on the ground. Also, for some reason, there's a persistent, unpleasant smell near the adult section of the pool. The only positive point is that the overall service attitude of the room service staff was quite good.

Traveling with family, I booked one standard room and one king room, on different floors. Both were originally balcony rooms, but the front desk said they upgraded us. However, the standard room was changed to one without a balcony, only adding a bathtub, and it was still on a different floor. I felt it wasn't worth the change. The king room with a balcony had a great view, where you could see the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake. The hotel breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Our butler, Zhang, was also very enthusiastic and responsive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel to my friends!

Loved our family room—amazing lake and island views, quiet, with a great balcony. Big towels, clean bedding, and a fridge were nice touches. The lakeside dock, restaurant and picnic areas were perfect for swimming, eating and relaxing.
Downsides: The pool (filled with cloudy slimy lake water) and its rundown messy area weren’t appealing. Hallway carpets and elevator had mold, needing deep cleaning.
Still, great value for the location. Don’t really need the pool with the lake so close. We’d return but hope they address the maintenance issues.

My overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing. All the bathroom amenities were provided, hot water was consistent, and the WiFi was smooth. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even helped upgrade my room. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, and the common areas were neat and orderly. It offers great value for money, suitable for both business trips and leisure travel.

Guest UserMy stay at the Qiandao Lake Cozy Island Resort was a fantastic experience. The hotel facilities are well-equipped overall, and the guest rooms are clean and tidy, with housekeeping doing an excellent job. The staff were thoughtful, warm, and very friendly and attentive.
I even received a complimentary fruit platter, which was a lovely touch. The in-house dining was delicious; the Chinese-style fish head soup I tried was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The daily amenities are also extensive, with a wide variety of free breakfast options in the morning and a pleasant outdoor BBQ experience available in the evening.
The hotel is located on an island, offering a tranquil and peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle. The overall atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing, making it an ideal choice for a leisure vacation.

GuoguiThe price they offered on the second-to-last day of the National Day holiday was excellent, and they even upgraded my room for free to a non-street-facing room with a balcony. The experience exceeded my expectations for the price. The room and bed were comfortable and spacious. There was a small to medium-sized underground parking lot with easy access. The hotel is located in a bustling area, making it convenient to drive anywhere, including restaurants and shopping. It's also lakeside, making it easy to visit the neighboring Greentown Sheraton Hotel for scenic photos. The breakfast was average, but filling enough. They also offered freshly made chicken rice noodles, which weren't very good; you had to season it yourself.

This hotel's location is absolutely amazing! It's right by the central lake, so you can just step out and start exploring – incredibly convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was so soft and comfy; I felt completely refreshed after a good night's sleep. Standing on the balcony, enjoying the lake breeze and the view, was incredibly relaxing. The front desk staff, especially the lady, was super nice and patient, always helping me with my questions – truly thoughtful service!
