"This time we chose the親子套房 (family suite) at Greentown Resort Hotel in Qiandao Lake. The room facilities were complete, and the front desk staff, especially a young man, was very responsive to all our requests. The lake view was absolutely stunning. The hotel's location is also very convenient, close to major attractions and food courts. The hotel has its own underground parking, which is free for guests. We stayed in Building 3, and there's a convenient shuttle service to the swimming pool in Building 1. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very rich and delicious! 👍"

"Every experience here was fantastic; I'd simply call it the 'Haidilao of hotels' [Haidilao is a famous hotpot chain known for exceptional service]. The service is incredibly warm, making you feel completely at home. The entire hotel's environment, ambiance, and layout are all very comfortable, and I felt completely at ease bringing my kids. Our butler, Anne, was truly reassuring and made us feel so comfortable. She even checked if our pillows and duvets were comfortable and was always quick to respond to any questions. Thumbs up to her! The next day, we paid to upgrade to the room in picture four, which my kids absolutely loved. The hotel's location is also very convenient."

"This was my first time visiting Qiandao Lake, and I spent a while choosing a hotel before finally settling on Blue Bay, mainly because of its excellent location. The room was surprisingly spacious, offering a very comfortable feel. We were given a room on the 20th floor, which had an expansive view of the beautiful Qiandao Lake in the distance. A special thanks to the auntie who cleaned our room the next day – she was incredibly diligent. Breakfast was also very diverse, and my child thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time, I'd like to try a room in Building 2; I'm sure it will be even more beautiful."

"This hotel is huge, and every corner of the property offers a beautiful view. You could easily spend a long time just enjoying the hotel itself. Since our stay wasn't on a weekend, there weren't many guests. The front desk lady was super thoughtful and gave us a small room upgrade. We also added the 'Mia' concierge on WeChat, so any questions we had during our stay could be directed to her, and she replied really promptly. Overall, it was a fantastic surprise and a great experience!"

"Overall, the hotel package offered good value for money, including food and drinks.
The biggest drawback was the room itself, which was very ordinary. Neither the view from the balcony nor the in-room hygiene lived up to a five-star standard; it felt more like a budget hotel. There were also mosquitoes.
Fortunately, the Guest Relations Manager had an excellent service attitude. They changed our room, and when we still had mosquitoes, they arranged for pest control. They didn't stop until the issue was resolved. They answered all our questions and even prepared a small gift for us at check-out.
Breakfast offered a good variety, but it finished too early. I haven't stayed at a hotel where breakfast closes at 10 AM in a long time. The fish head lunch, which was part of the package but prepared by an external restaurant, was delicious, and they provided a golf cart to take us to the restaurant within the resort.
The GO (Guest Relations Officer) team was generally friendly, and the kids' club and recreational facilities were decent. The resort environment is quite good, suitable for outdoor activities."

"Had a heavenly two-day stay here. The environment is incredibly clean; you won't find a speck of dust even in the bathroom corners. The hotel has exclusive access to a lake bay, offering serene and expansive views. Sitting in the lakeside tea room, sipping tea and just daydreaming, was utterly therapeutic. The facilities are well-maintained; the gym equipment is new, and the book bar has a great vibe. What touched me most was the service. "Traveling during the May Day holiday, I chose the Holiday Inn for its better value for money. The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the pier and attractions. The breakfast was plentiful, and there are many restaurants nearby, making dining convenient. The front desk staff, particularly Manager Man Yangyang, provided attentive service and responded promptly. The 26th floor has a scenic balcony, perfect for taking great photos. JJOOZWAYI have always wanted to experience the beauty of Qiandao Lake. It was my birthday so I rewarded myself with a trip to Qiandao Lake. For such a leisurely vacation, the choice of homestay is so important! Yungu Songjian Homestay was planted as soon as I saw its pictures. It is surrounded by mountains and has a white two-story building. It has a unique atmosphere even on rainy days. It also has a large swimming pool. It is also very good for taking photos at night. The afternoon tea is exquisite and delicious. They can also provide full meals. They are all authentic specialties. They are delicious and tasty. The staff of the homestay are very enthusiastic. They will take the initiative to ask about your needs and everything is arranged properly! You can feel the kindness and warmth. This really gave me a great experience of the trip to Qiandao Lake!

KKuishouEach room at this hotel is a standalone villa, all facing the lake. The interiors are incredibly spacious and each comes with a terrace and a full range of amenities. The bathroom, in particular, is huge and very comfortable. The hotel's public areas are beautifully landscaped, with plenty of cherry blossoms. I'd initially hoped to see cherry blossoms in Qiandao Lake, but they had all withered outside the hotel. Luckily, there were still many within the hotel grounds, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities; the staff even added me on WeChat before check-in to send over the options. However, the room itself was so comfortable that I didn't end up participating in any. The hotel's location is very close to Qinchuan Ancient Village, which is a lovely place. The only downside is that the water level in the lake area where the hotel is located can vary significantly with the seasons. Visiting in April, the water level was quite low, making the lake view less impressive compared to the areas closer to Qiandao Lake Town. Additionally, it's a bit far from the main attractions in Qiandao Lake Town, about an hour's drive. This hotel is ideal for guests looking for a relaxed getaway, but perhaps less so for those primarily interested in visiting the core attractions.

GGuest UserI guess I'm a loyal customer of this hotel in Xian Mountain, Qiandao Lake. I've been there twenty times, and every time I visit Qiandao Lake, I still choose this hotel. There's a unique sense of appropriateness here – they don't seem to be merely providing service, but rather 'taking care' of you, making you feel like entering the hotel truly marks the beginning of a vacation: free, comfortable, pleasant, and warm!
I felt it the moment I arrived.
The car had barely stopped at the entrance when the bellhop scurried over to open the car door, greeting us with a smiling 'Hello, welcome home.' After we checked in, a bellhop proactively helped us with our luggage, introducing himself as he led us to the elevator: 'If you need anything these next few days, just call the concierge. My name is Henry.' He was a bright and efficient young man with a constant smile. Just hearing him say that, and seeing his smile, made you feel like he wasn't just completing a task, but genuinely inviting you to reach out, all to put your mind at ease!
On the day we checked in, I casually asked if there were any good running routes nearby and what fun things there were to do. Henry actually took the time to draw me a map, explaining the hotel's layout, where I could run, where I could cycle, where I could hike, where I could pick bayberries, and where I could eat. He even reminded me, 'Before 6:30 AM, the boardwalk is less crowded. If you like photography, you can go and take pictures of the sunrise; it’s really beautiful.' The next morning, we indeed went to the lighthouse and the camphor tree forest. When we returned, dripping with sweat, we ran into him again in the lobby. He enthusiastically asked, 'Finished your run? The weather's great today, how was it?' – just like an old friend I'd known for ages. It feels wonderful to be remembered!
Another time, our group of ten went to the hotel. In the evening, he led us to chase the sunset. We walked cheerfully along the path on Xian Mountain Peninsula. He walked in front, constantly describing the surrounding scenery and sharing stories of past guests, occasionally turning back to make sure everyone was still with us. In that moment, it didn't feel like staying in a hotel; it felt more like being shown around by a local old friend, listening to him share everything about the area…
The hotel is now called InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort, and everything is still as beautiful and comfortable in that resort style. The moment you step into your hotel room and open the door, the entire Qiandao Lake unfolds before your eyes. You can't help but think: 'This is exactly what I wanted!' The mist and mountain breeze intertwine, a gentle drizzle, so comfortable you don't want to move. The bedding was just the right firmness, and I swapped my pillow for a buckwheat one, sleeping soundly until my alarm went off – which is quite rare in a hotel. The breakfast restaurant is also the most extensive among similar hotels, with a vast array of dishes prepared meticulously. There were six or seven kinds of green leafy vegetables for the salad alone, and a variety of dressings. There was also a young man making fresh squeezed juice, busy but with a good-natured smile on his face all morning long…
So, what does staying in a hotel mean, you ask? Is it just staying for two nights, looking at the lake, and eating fish head? Actually, it's about enjoying the service the hotel provides, not just the 'hello, thank you, sorry' routine, but feeling that someone truly cares about your feelings, your needs, and your mood! InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort doesn't feel like staying in a hotel to me; it feels more like visiting a friend's home who truly understands you. You want to go back every now and then to see your old friend and everything you hold dear! The lake view is beautiful, but what makes me want to keep returning are those warm moments I remember…
The lake views will stay in our photo albums and on our phones, but those people and those moments of being treated with kindness will always remain in my heart…

GGuest UserThe room was very comfortable and spacious for the family of 4 of us. Unfortunately the weather was against us and rained everyday whole day during our visit and couldn’t go do sightseeing by foot.
The “guest bathroom” drain was releasing a very unpleasant stinky smell throughout our visit. Highly recommend to spend a few RMB and buy the drain smell problem solver (see picture attached). Promise it will solve the problem!! Installed it in all our apartments where we lived in China that had the same issue.
Our daughter (and us) enjoyed the playroom even though the a/c systems did not allow warm air to heat the room (setting was on hot= 35 degrees Celsius, high speed, but never went over 15 degrees Celsius). Cleanliness could be looked at, lots of human hair lying around.
Reception could possibly take an English course to accommodate non-Chinese speakers, but the language translator came in handy.
Breakfast was mainly Chinese like. But good variety, shouldn’t go hungry.

GGuest UserStaying at the Longting Hotel was a pleasant surprise. Right from the entrance, you're greeted by a prominent 'Lucky Horse of the Year' display and a wishing tree. Further inside, by the elevators, there's a unique gourd-shaped photo spot. Once in the room, the decor exudes a wellness vibe, complete with a massage roller and a foot massager to help you relax and de-stress. Hotel parking is also very convenient, and there's a large Intime shopping mall just a few hundred meters away. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

GGuest UserHad a fantastic stay! We were super lucky to get an upgrade to a single loft family suite. Xiao Ye at the front desk was incredibly patient and kind, especially friendly with the kids. She was also super responsive on WeChat and even helped us arrange a late check-out when our competition ran longer than expected. Tony's service was excellent too, always smiling and speaking softly, and he brought a fruit platter right after we checked in. When I went to get my car from the parking lot, the lobby manager even came along to help. (A big plus: the parking lot connects directly to the hotel lobby, which is great for cyclists!) I'll definitely consider staying at Novotel again for my next competition.

YyadoouFor its price point, this hotel is unbeatable in Qiandao Lake. The facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Parking is also convenient. On the day of our stay, there was a large group, but the restaurant was very prompt in refilling food during breakfast, so we were all well-fed. The only drawback is that Qiandao Lake is quite large. If your activities aren't around Qingxi or Beer Town, it's about a dozen kilometers to the central lake area. Plus, with more traffic on holidays, travel time can be quite long.

GGuest UserThe location was good if you are planning an early boat trip, as it is only a 2 minute walk away from the pier. But if you want to sleep in, you hear the boat horns as each one departs in the morning. Is is not walkable distance to the center, but a quick didi ride away only. My initial room that I booked (single room), despite being promoted as a non smoking room, smelled horrific when I entered. They immediately changed my room when I told them about it. The shower had mould stains, but I am assuming they might have been older stains as even my highly allergic nose did not have any trouble. I did not try the breakfast as I was looking for something with protein, but breakfast was included. I believe I saw boiled corn, steamed sweet potatoes and a type of bao bun. Not fully sure. When I had trouble renting ebikes without local ID, the staff were very helpful and spent 30 minutes handling it all for us. Was given slippers on arrival, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. The room had showergel and shampoo, but no handsoap. There was a bottle of slimey something in the bathroom, maybe that was handsoap, did not want to risk it. But overall, was a nice stay.

Upon entering the hotel, the Chinese Sui and Tang style decor was elegant and grand. The lobby was spacious and bright, filled with a subtle, refreshing aroma. The staff warmly greeted us, and the check-in process was efficient and smooth. They were all smiles, patient, and meticulous throughout, and even proactively introduced us to the hotel's facilities and surrounding attractions. The first impression was simply perfect.
Originally, I had booked a basic lake-view room for the client, so imagine our surprise when, during check-in, the staff informed us they could provide a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe lake-view king room! This unexpected pleasant surprise instantly brought immense joy! The upgraded room was more spacious, with a well-designed layout that showcased thoughtfulness everywhere. Opening the window revealed an unobstructed view of Qiandao Lake, with its clear blue water and scattered islands. Every photo taken was a therapeutic masterpiece. All sorts of toiletries were readily available, and every detail reflected the sophistication of a five-star hotel. What's more, the room's cleanliness was noteworthy – from the floor and desktop to the bedding and bathroom, everything was spotless, even the nooks and crannies were sparkling clean, ensuring the client had a very comfortable and reassuring stay.
Beyond the impressive room, the hotel's amenities also earned high praise from the client. In the morning, they enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the Milan Western Restaurant, which offered a rich and diverse selection of Chinese and Western dishes. Freshly baked bread, local Chun'an specialties, fresh fruits, hot porridge, and pastries were all available, with fresh ingredients and excellent taste – a perfect way to start the day. During their leisure time, the client experienced the hotel's wellness hot spring pools. The 7 unique hot spring pools nestled among the pine trees each offered different benefits. Soaking in the warm spring water while gazing at the scenic beauty of Qiandao Lake was utterly relaxing for both body and mind. The hotel also boasts a gym, outdoor pool, and cycling trails. For families, the children's playground, pottery studio, and 3D children's cinema are sure to keep the little ones entertained, satisfying the needs of various guests in one go.
The service throughout our stay made us truly feel the hotel's dedication. Whether it was the patient answers from the front desk staff, the meticulous attention of the housekeeping team, or the thoughtful guidance from the restaurant and hot spring area attendants, every staff member maintained a professional and enthusiastic attitude. They responded promptly when needed and proactively offered all sorts of thoughtful assistance. The client mentioned that during their stay at Brilliance, they not only experienced the natural beauty of Qiandao Lake but also felt the warmth of being truly at home.
As a business booking, this experience far exceeded expectations. The complimentary room upgrade not only showed the hotel's sincerity to our client but also highlighted the Brilliance Resort's dedication to every guest. From the environment and facilities to the service and details, everything was impeccable, making it an excellent choice for a trip to Qiandao Lake. I've already added this hotel to our top list for business trips and personal vacations and will highly recommend it to friends. This hotel 🏨 is GORGEOUS. Absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t decide which photos to use for my photoshoot because there are so many great pictures. The hotel is perfect for instagram or social media.
The service 👨✈️ was amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
The food 🍱 was delicious! There are many different choices and set options. We especially loved the fried pork.

Location 📍you can’t hike or explore anywhere around this hotel. You are essentially stuck to this property. All activities are at least 30min-2 hour drive away.
Room design 🛏️ I included this in the photos, the bed is on a wooden stand with sharp edges and it’s very easily to run into it and forget it’s there. My bf and I both hit our shins pretty hard on it, it was painful.
Drinks🥂 it was my birthday and I wanted to enjoy some cocktails or champagne with this view, but you are limited to beer 🍺 only. Just bottled Budweiser and Tsingtao.
Overall, I’d stay again if I wanted to relax in peace for the weekend. Bring your own alcohol.
