"I booked this hotel last minute, drawn in by the lake view, which I thought would be nice. I knew the hotel was old, so I expected some outdated facilities, but I never imagined it would be *this* old. It boasts a 5-star rating, but it's more like a guesthouse from the 90s. The lobby floor tiles were cracked, the TV in the room was ancient, and the bed was incredibly worn out. The sofa was filthy, and the welcome fruit consisted of tiny apples and pears. For such a dilapidated room, paying over 670 a night is outrageous; it's barely worth 200 tops. If my family hadn't been so tired and immediately lay down for a nap upon entering the room, I would have switched hotels in a heartbeat. I'd have been better off staying at a clean 'All Seasons Hotel' (Quanji Hotel)!"

"Taking advantage of the tail end of summer vacation, I brought my daughter to Qiandao Lake for a family trip. After comparing several options, I chose this hotel, and our three-day, two-night stay was perfect, truly one of the top parent-child resorts in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. I genuinely recommend it to all parents traveling with children. The hotel's location is excellent, occupying a central lakeside peninsula of Qiandao Lake. It's surrounded by the lake on three sides, offering expansive views. From the popular photo spots on the 5th and 6th floors, you can directly face the beautiful Qiandao Lake scenery. My only regret was that since we were traveling with friends, our travel dates were set a bit last minute, and we couldn't book two lake-view twin rooms. We had to settle for two landscape-view twin rooms. I want to thank our butler, Ziva, for specifically reserving two of the largest landscape rooms for us. The children had so much space to run around; the rooms were truly super, super spacious. Next time, I might choose a lake-view room for a different experience. The hotel provides a complete set of complimentary child-friendly items: a children's toilet seat, non-slip footstool, baby toiletries, small slippers, and a bed rail. The thoughtful details exceeded our expectations. The room and bathroom were clean, tidy, and odorless, and the toiletries were high-quality – Bulgari bath products, which was a nice touch! The sheets and pillows were soft and breathable. Our butler, Ziva, even thoughtfully mentioned that if the pillows were too soft, harder ones were available, which was very considerate. After a busy day, we slept soundly, and the soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any noise from the corridor. The most amazing part was the hotel's 3,000-square-meter children's playground. This was the highlight of our trip and our favorite feature. It's incredibly spacious, and both toddlers and older children can find something fun to do. My daughter played in the ocean ball pit with the multi-story giant slide dozens of times and didn't want to leave. The dinosaur sandbox was equipped with a full set of digging tools and was clean and free of debris. There was also a carousel, a princess dress-up area, and a building block craft area where little girls could try on various princess dresses for photos. The playground is staffed by dedicated supervisors, provides free non-slip socks upon entry, and has clean restrooms and water dispensers inside, allowing parents to relax and unwind. In addition to the indoor playground, there were mini go-karts and a VR arcade on the basement level, which older children also enjoyed. On the first floor, there was also a screening room and an arcade, where I managed to win quite a few dolls for my daughter. The hotel also has large outdoor water activities and an indoor heated pool. Unfortunately, my daughter had a bit of an upset stomach before we left, so we couldn't experience them, which was a shame. Every evening at 7:30 and 8:30, there were two 88-meter-long water screen movies. The lights combined with the lake created an incredible atmosphere, and my daughter watched mesmerized. The only downside was that it was quite sweaty outdoors in the summer heat, but the good news was there were no mosquitoes. Dining was equally delightful. The hotel's buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, with a dedicated children's area featuring steamed dim sum, yogurt, cartoon-shaped pastries, and fresh squeezed juices. The ingredients were fresh, and the restaurant staff were attentive, proactively bringing baby utensils. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel's buffet Western restaurant; the dishes were fresh, complete, and the quality was top-notch. The hotel also provided discount vouchers for the buffet dinner, which saved us a good amount. It happened to be Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day) on the night we had dinner, and the hotel even gave us themed heart-shaped cakes, which was a very lovely gesture. The entire hotel staff provided warm and thoughtful service. From the front desk check-in to the cleaning staff and the playground attendants, everyone was exceptionally patient with children. They proactively gave children small gifts during check-in, greeted my daughter whenever they saw her, and never pushed any sales, maintaining just the right balance in their service. Food delivery from outside was also convenient; orders could be picked up from a designated spot in the lobby on the first floor or delivered to the room by a robot. Additionally, the hotel offered a complimentary travel photography session. The emerging travel photographers were excellent, preserving precious memories of our trip. They also offered a reasonable discount on the digital negatives when we selected our photos, which we appreciated. This trip to Qiandao Lake with my daughter, thanks to Minghao Hotel, eliminated all the usual exhaustion of traveling with children. The huge children's playground, two pools, prime lake views, thoughtful child-friendly amenities, and meticulous, warm service were all top-notch. The value for money far exceeded other resorts in the same price range. Whether for a short weekend getaway with kids or a multi-day family vacation, it's perfectly suited. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Qiandao Lake, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone! Finally, I want to thank butler Ziva again for her attentive answers before check-in and her enthusiastic and thoughtful service during our stay. The emotional value she provided throughout made me feel exceptionally welcomed and respected. I truly look forward to seeing her again on my next stay!"

"Highly recommend the central lake-view rooms; the unobstructed lake view is breathtaking and truly therapeutic, giving you that ultimate vacation vibe. **Dining:** Breakfast was plentiful, and the dishes changed over our two-day stay, which was great. The Chinese restaurant also had a lovely ambiance and excellent food. **Transportation:** It's a 10-minute walk from the entrance to the lobby, or you can use the hotel shuttle. **My only complaint:** We arrived around 1:30 PM on a Sunday, and I understand the room might not have been ready. However, despite several prompts, we didn't get our room until just after 3 PM. There was no seating available in the lobby either, leaving both the elderly and children quite exhausted."

"This is my second visit to Qiandao Lake, and my second time choosing Lanwan. This time, I stayed in a family suite on the side of Building 2. The advantage is that the space is decent, and there's an additional small toilet, so you don't disturb each other when using the restroom. But that's where the positives end. Let's talk about the downsides. First, regarding the so-called advance contact from the butler before check-in: they did send me a bunch of pre-written messages, but completely ignored my questions interspersed within them. Secondly, when I asked the butler the next day if there was a laundry room, the reply was, ”None of the hotels here have a laundry room.” This type of conversation happened several times. The butler was confrontational; whatever you said, they'd argue against it. Other services during my stay were non-existent! Now, about the views and public areas. Building 2 is in the same complex as the Sheraton, but from this suite, you can only see the view from the side. I must say, Qiandao Lake is truly beautiful and cured some of my dissatisfaction. The swimming pool is in front of Building 1; it's relatively small, and the water temperature was a bit low, perhaps due to weather changes. Finally, I have to say the restaurant's location is VIP, and the food selection is also very rich – this is the **best!** I'm unlikely to choose Lanwan again next time! Perhaps Greentown still needs to refine its holiday resort operations."

"Thanks to Meiyangyang for upgrading our room; the service was warm and polite. The Hilton Qiandao Lake Resort is very new. We drove there, and as soon as we parked the car in front of the hotel, the security guard thoughtfully put a sunshade on our front windshield. Our room on the 27th floor was clean and tidy, with a partial lake view. There are many restaurants nearby, and the mall is also within walking distance. The room was clean and hygienic, the bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast was rich and delicious, including freshly baked bread, welcome fruit, and even a departure gift. We'll definitely come again next time!"

"The lake view room offered fantastic views, and the blackout curtains were excellent. Waking up in a completely dark room each morning and then opening the curtains to reveal the sparkling lake view was incredibly pleasant. Due to a typhoon, the outdoor pool was initially closed, but the hotel staff were very efficient, and it reopened the very next day, so we could enjoy it. The hotel's decor and aesthetic were very high-end; there were no strange or out-of-place texts, and the logo was a simple 'S'. The outdoor pool, the floor-to-ceiling windows on the second-floor lobby, the room balconies, and the restaurant all provided great photo opportunities. There were a few minor issues during check-in. On the first night, a chair leg broke, and I almost fell. Then, when I wanted to use the bathtub, I discovered a rove beetle. I immediately called the front desk, and a manager came to resolve it. They upgraded us to a suite and, after some discussion, gave us a complimentary fish head set meal. The sheets in the suite were a bit damp, but there was a dehumidifier – it's by the lake, so what can you do? 👐 Given the compensation, it was acceptable. Thankfully, I didn't touch the rove beetle 🥲, they're really scary. If they crawl on your skin, it can cause redness, swelling, and scarring, which is horrible. If you see these black and red insects, whatever you do, don't swat them with your hand! We carefully wrapped it up in layers in the bathtub! You can say the Sheraton rooms are old and have bugs, but you cannot question the kitchen here. Breakfast was extensive, and the fish head set meal was incredibly delicious. The fish head soup was super fresh and tasty, and the other dishes were also good. We received complimentary kayaking tickets, but it was too hot in the summer, so we skipped it. Both indoor pools were open; the indoor one was open until 9 PM, and the outdoor one until 10 PM. We didn't have a need for the pet park or the kids' club, so we didn't explore them much. You can walk around the lake by going through the hotel's back exit, but remember to bring mosquito repellent. Overall, the hotel's facilities, service attitude, dining quality, and scenic views were all exceptionally good. It's perfect for a relaxing, all-inclusive getaway where you can just unwind. I hesitated for a long time among various hotels in Qiandao Lake, like Minghao, Fanli, Hilton, Jun'anyi, and Free Intercontinental Palace, but I have no regrets about coming here. Everyone had a great time!✌"

"Club Med Qiandao Lake: A 4-day, 3-night Stay Review **Experience Description:** Two days before our trip, Suki from Guest Relations went above and beyond, meticulously arranging everything via WeChat to accommodate the needs of my two elderly parents and one small child, and outlining important itinerary details. We checked in on July 14th, and the experience was superb! The view from our balcony was like a traditional Chinese ink painting; even breathing felt easier. The best part was not having to worry about what activities to do with my child – everything fun was available right within the resort. The infinity pool, kayaking, evening water fights in the plaza, bonfire parties, and shows were all favorites with the little one. The hotel's buffet was incredibly rich and delicious. The Fish Restaurant at the Resort Town (朋友圈鱼馆) was also tasty and offered great value for money. There were shuttle buses connecting all points within the resort, and frankly, the outstanding hardware, software, and detailed management were impressive. We even received a farewell gift. I felt particularly bad that Suki was out in the blazing sun showing us around the environment. Our emotional and perceived value were completely satisfied. Club Med will definitely be our first choice from now on. Special thanks to the hotel front desk staff and Ethan, and a huge shout-out to Suki!"

"Traveling with kids, I decided to try out this new hotel, and we were all very satisfied. Perhaps because it's new, everyone seemed quite busy, but the overall service was still excellent. They were quick to respond to our small requests. Our butler, Anna, handled everything meticulously. The aunties at the kids' club were very attentive, and the club itself was large and clean. The pool was also spotless, and there's a hot spring pool, perfect for both adults and children to enjoy. The buffet also deserves a thumbs up for its extensive selection of dishes! 👍🏻"

"Booked a lake view room and got an upgrade upon check-in. The room was quite spacious, though the decor felt a bit dated. The open-plan bathroom, with the bathtub and sink integrated into the room, was a bit unusual for me, but it was great that each room had a dehumidifier. The service was excellent; rooms were cleaned quickly, and breakfast offered a good variety, with plates cleared efficiently. Direct access to the water park from the first floor was super convenient. Lunch at the hotel was a bit pricey but tasted good. I'd definitely consider staying here again. Finally, the high-speed rail shuttle service was good, though the air conditioning in the vehicle wasn't very effective."

The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the central lake area, with picturesque views from the window. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Qiandao Lake.
